Neural modeling of the blood glucose level for Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus patients 1型糖尿病患者血糖水平的神经模拟

This paper presents the application of a recurrent multilayer perceptron neural network for modeling blood glucose dynamics in Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus (T1DM). Training is performed based on an extended Kalman filtering (EKF) learning algorithm. Then, the EKF performance is compared with the well-known Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) learning algorithm. The goal is to derive a dynamical mathematical model for T1DM considering the response of a patient to meal and subcutaneous insulin infusion. Thus, the main contribution of this work is to propose a modeling methodology for blood glucose dynamics based in Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). Experimental data, given by a continuous glucose monitoring system, are utilized for identification purposes and for applicability trials of the proposed scheme in T1DM therapy.

Communication types for manufacturing systems. A proposal to distributed control system based on IEC 61499 制造系统的通信类型。基于iec61499的集散控制系统的设计

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has defined the standard IEC 61499 for the next generation of distributed control systems used in agile manufacturing systems. This work identifies and characterizes different types of communications needed for distributed control. It simplifies application designers work and middleware implementation for the standard. Then, a proposal is presented for a distributed system based on a FB model and the types of communication identified and it is evaluated in a real application.

A formal semantics for Grafcet specifications 用于Grafcet规范的形式化语义

This paper shows how the behavior of a model described in the specification language proposed by the IEC 60848 standard can be represented, without semantics loss, in a formal manner, by a finite state machine (FSM) with logic inputs and outputs. This contribution is illustrated on a nontrivial example; this case study points out that the duration of the construction of the equivalent FSM complies with the requirements of designers of automation systems.

Software tool for constructing cell decompositions 构建细胞分解的软件工具

We develop a collection of user-friendly MATLAB routines for partitioning a given environment into various types of cell decompositions. The environment is assumed planar, bounded by a convex polygon, and cluttered with an arbitrary number of convex polygonal obstacles. The developed tool implements four cell decomposition types, namely trapezoidal, triangular, polytopal, and rectangular. Some preliminary results on a comparative analysis of these cell decompositions were obtained by using the mentioned implementation.

In order to evaluate different model based approaches using specific modeling notation a methodology is necessary, which includes complexity of the control task, applicability to the type of the control task, but also usability measures, e.g. number of faults in model or program (effectiveness) and time needed (efficiency) to finalize the task. Our experimental focus has been up to now on open loop control. The relevant factors will be discussed; the HTA as method to describe the modeling task as well as three evaluations will be introduced comparing UML, ICL, SysML and IEC 61131-3.

Adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller for Wheeled Mobile Robots 轮式移动机器人的自适应模糊滑模控制

In this paper, perfect trajectory tracking control of a non-holonomic Wheeled Mobile Robot (WMR) is tackled. First, a Sliding Mode Controller (SMC) is proposed to convergence of WMR on desired position, velocity and orientation trajectories. Due to the weak performance of the SMC against exogenous inputs, a Mamdani-type fuzzy system is designed to improve the tracking performance of the controller. However, the Fuzzy SMC (FSMC) cannot remove the chattering phenomena completely. Therefore, a supervisory Adaptive FSMC (AFSMC) is proposed to suppress the chattering effects. The superiority of the adaptive approach to the non-adaptive methods has been revealed through simulations.

Optimized closed-loop supply chain configuration selection for sustainable product designs 面向可持续产品设计的闭环供应链配置优化选择

Decision support models for coordinating sustainable product and supply chain (SC) design can help a company identify the best product designs that will bring highest sustainability benefits to the entire SC at the product development stage. This paper presents a multi-stage decision support model (developed using a hierarchical approach) that evaluates alternate product designs and their SC configurations to identify the best product design and their closed-loop SC configuration that maximizes profit and also minimize adverse environmental and societal impacts. The model considers a total life-cycle approach and promotes closed-loop flow over multiple product life-cycles. Particularly, this paper provides a detailed description of the mixed integer linear programming model developed to evaluate the impact of alternate product design on their corresponding SC configuration to identify for each design an optimal closed-loop SC configuration that maximizes the profit. The application of the model to an example problem is presented.

A drum-buffer-rope based scheduling method for semiconductor manufacturing system 基于卷筒缓冲绳的半导体制造系统调度方法

Scheduling in semiconductor manufacturing system is an important task for the industries faced with a large amount of resource competitions. Effective scheduling can improve the overall system performance and customer satisfaction. In this paper, a scheduling method with the core of bottleneck equipment control is designed referring to Drum-Buffer-Rope (DBR) theory. In order to identify the main-bottleneck, the relative load which takes the feature of reentrance into consideration is applied. For the avoidance of local blocking, the management of sub-bottleneck is presented. As both releasing and dispatching are taken into account, a scheduling method based on the compound priority is formed. Finally, HP-24 semiconductor wafer fabrication is used as an example to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Semi-automatic control of modular systems with intermittent data losses 具有间歇性数据丢失的模块化系统的半自动控制

This paper presents a control procedure of distributed stabilising agents for dynamically-coupled systems operating in the imperfect data environment of a mesh device network. A multivariable controller is applied to each single modular subsystem, which also allows for a manual control mode. To deal with the device network, intermittent data losses are compensated for on-the-fly using the incrementally accumulative quadratic constraint (AQC). The incrementally AQC is employed in the procedure of stabilising agents to accommodate the coexistence of closed-loop control and man-in-the-loop regulation. These agents render stabilising bounds for the manipulated variables in the automatic control mode, and at the same time, provide warning signals and manipulation guidance for the operators to prevent possible plant-wide destabilisation in the semi-automatic control mode. Taking the control constraints into consideration, the feasibility of AQC-based stabilising bounds is guaranteed for the consecutive datalost periods of device networks. The innovative aspect of the proposed approach rests on the stability condition developed from the input and output evolution prescribed in the controller AQC and the system dissipativity, as well as the method of remedying data losses right after the incidents. Simulation results are provided for the model predictive control of an industrial modular system in the mineral processing industry.

To deal with the device network, intermittent data losses are compensated for on-the-fly using the incrementally accumulative quadratic constraint (AQC). The incrementally AQC is employed in the procedure of stabilising agents to accommodate the coexistence of closed-loop control and man-in-the-loop regulation. These agents render stabilising bounds for the manipulated variables in the automatic control mode, and at the same time, provide warning signals and manipulation guidance for the operators to prevent possible plant-wide destabilisation in the semi-automatic control mode. Taking the control constraints into consideration, the feasibility of AQC-based stabilising bounds is guaranteed for the consecutive datalost periods of device networks. The innovative aspect of the proposed approach rests on the stability condition developed from the input and output evolution prescribed in the controller AQC and the system dissipativity, as well as the method of remedying data losses right after the incidents. Green and lean control of cyclic pallet systems 绿色和精益控制循环托盘系统

Reduction of energy consumed by a manufacturing system to turn raw parts to finished products is a big step towards the green and lean production. In this study the energy efficiency of a one-loop pallet system, a main tool to handle and locate various part types in a cyclic production line, is investigated. The main goal is to obtain the minimal energy consumption in the pallet system drive unit through an optimally controlled and coordinated motion of pallets. To achieve the mentioned goal, first the mean value of the pallet system energy consumption is mathematically modeled. Later, this energy model is utilized as an objective function within an optimization model including constraints on system crucial properties such as cyclic and dynamic behavior, queueing policy, and buffer size. The solution of the optimization problem gives the optimal values of the system control variables, namely, number of pallets and conveyor velocity. To demonstrate the application of this optimization model in practice, three case studies are introduced. The results of these studies show that a significant amount of the energy consumption may be saved by applying the suggested green control.
