Virus Covid-19 di dunia membuat sistem pendidikan mengalami perubahan utamanya pada proses kegiatan belajar mengajar. Ditambah dengan adanya Surat Edaran no. 4 tahun 2020 dari Menteri Pendidikan dan kebudayaan yang menganjurkan seluruh kegiatan di institusi pendidikan harus disampaikan di rumah masing-masing. akibatnya seluruh proses kegiatan belajar menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh. pada pembelajaran jarak jauh ini, diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran yang tetap kondusif meski dilakukan secara terpisah ruang antara dosen dan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa Polimarin pada Prodi Ketatalaksaan Pelayaran Niaga dan Kepelabuhan yang mengikuti mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini memiliki dua tujuan. Pertama, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis daftar pustaka pada pembelajaran jarak jauh. Kedua, untuk mengetahui penggunaan media Kahoot! Dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan menulis daftar pustaka pada pembelajaran jarak jauh. Dalam penelitian ini, media Kahoot! akan digunakan untuk membantu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis mahasiswa utamanya pada penulisan daftar pustaka. Desain peneltian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dimana terdapat dua siklus untuk melihat penerapan aplikasi Kahoot! dalam pembelajaran. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas empat tahap penelitian. Pada dasarnya retorika adalah bagaimana kemahiran atau gaya bicara seseorang dalam berbicara dihadapan umum, seperti berpidato atau berkhutbah. Namun, retorika juga bisa terdapat pada sebuah tulisan, yaitu bagaimana si penulis sastra menggunakan bahasa dan makna untuk mengungkapkan ide atau gagasan pengarang sehingga gagasan tersebut disampaikan secara jelas dan efektif tanpa mengurangi nilai estetika tulisan tersebut. Artinya retorika dalam tulisan adalah bagaimana si penulis mengungkapkan sebuah gagasan melalui tulisan yang memiliki nilai estetika. Dalam penelitian kecil ini penulis akan menkaji unsur-unsur retorika yang terdapat pada surat Zainab kepada Hamid yang tersimpan dengan baik dalam novel “Di bawah Lindungan Ka’bah” karya Buya Hamka. Metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah metode kualitatif deskriftif naratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa surat Zainab terhadap Hamid terdapat beberapa unsur retorika, diantaranya adalah; 4 majas, 4 penyesiatan Struktur, dan 1 pencitraan yang terdiri dari pencitraan gerakan, penglihatan dan penciuman.

Speaking is one of the problematic aspects of language learning for the teacher to help them more actively engaged during the teaching-learning process. However, studies show that choosing the right teaching strategy and media can overcome student’s speaking difficulties. One of the strategies chosen in this research is teaching spoof text storytelling. This study aims to describe how the storytelling of spoof text can improve students’ achievement in speaking skill for eleventh-graders. The method used is classroom action research following Kemmis & Taggart’s model with the procedures of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The study was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings, and the result of the study showed significant improvement of students’ active participation in classroom and fluency in speech. Most of the students obtained higher scores at the end of the research cycle. It proves that the use of storytelling of spoof text can improve students’s speaking skill. The finding of this study implies the need of English teacher's creativity to support the student's speaking skill by using interesting learning materials and strategies

Psychology in literature is how characters move through relation of body and mind. Shiro is Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s short story about white dog who ignores his friend, Kuro, that being caught. That ignorant deed haunts and makes him try to kill himself but actually he helps many people. One night, he speaks to the moon how he apologizes for everything. Then, how is transformation from despair to hope be asserted on Ryunosuke Akutagawa’s Shiro? Through qualitative method, this writing underlines changing condition of Shiro from having despair to being hopeful. Supported by theory of Randolph M. Nesse, the transformation is reflected when Shiro sees others beside himself. He leaves his loneliness and joins others for happiness. He has paid his debt by supporting others’ lives. In conclusion, Shiro’s denial for not helping Kuro changes when experiencing hope from otherness rather than selfness.

Abstract: This study aimed to discover the effect of students’ participation in English course program on their English vocabulary mastery. The population of this study was the eleventh grade of SMA Pusri Palembang. In determining the sample, the researcher used purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was 50 students. The students were defined as students who take English course program and those who do not. In collecting the data, the researcher used mixed-method approach. The English vocabulary mastery test and questionnaire were provided to gain the data. The test was a multiple-choice form. The instruments were analyzed statistically with SPSS 24. The result of the test by conducting Mann Whitney test showed that there was a significant difference of English vocabulary mastery between both groups of students. The result of the questionnaire showed that there were any effects of participating English course program on students’ English vocabulary mastery.

The aim of this study is to find out whether or not there is significant effect of using Jigsaw technique on the eighth-grade students’ reading comprehension at Islamic Junior High School Al-Jauharen. The design of the experiment research is a quasi-experimental research with pre-test post-test control group design. There were 64 students involved as the samples in this study. The results indicated that there was significant difference on the students’ comprehension before (M=60.80, SD= 19.69) and after being taught by using Jigsaw Technique (M=78.62, SD=10.08), t(29)=3.926, p= 0.000< 0.05. The results of independent sample t-test also indicated that there was significant difference on the comprehension of the students in experimental group and in control group (p>0.05). In brief, the results implied that there were there was significant effect of using Jigsaw Technique on the students’ reading comprehension.

Penelitian ini berujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis bagian pendahuluan oleh mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia STKIP Muhammadiyah Manokwari. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Data yang digunakan hasil kerja mahasiswa berupa bagian pendahuluan karya tulis imiah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan teknik tes. Hasil pelitian menunjuukan bahwa kemampuan menulis bagian pendahuluan karya ilmiah oleh mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa Indonesia pada saat pretes dengan nilai rata-rata 55, setelah dilakukan siklus pertama mengalami peningkatan dengan nilai rata-rata 65 dengan memperbaiki cara mengajar dan menjelaskan materi sehingga mendapatkan hasil degan nilai rata-rata 80. Dari hasi penelitian yang mengalami peningkatan dari para siklus, siklus pertama dan siklus ke dua menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa pendidikan bahasa dan sastra Indonesia mampu menulis bagian pendahuluan dengan baik setelah menggunakan aplikasi mind mapp.

The aim of this study is to analyze the main character’s mental state in the movie The Uninvited using the theory of psyche and defense mechanism. This study used descriptive method. The first step of analyzing The Uninvited movie was observing the main character’s mental state from the beginning until the end of the story, determining the cause of the main character’s unstable mental state by using Freud’s psyche theory through the character’s dialogues and certain scenes, determining types of defense mechanisms deployed by the main character in the movie, the last is interpreting how the main character’s mental state affects the plot of the movie. Abstract: This research aimed to find out the errors made by the tenth-grade students of Smk Nusa Dua especially first grade students of hotel accommodation program in using passive voice. This purposed of this research is to find out the types of errors. The researcher used Dulays’ theory to find the types of error. Furthermore, the researcher used descriptive qualitative research design. To get the sample, the researcher used cluster sampling technique. The researcher took 45 students as a sample from class 10 AP2. To analysis the data, the researcher gave a test about passive voice of simple present tense. There were totally 352 errors created by the students. Those errors derived from omission with 21 errors, addition with 67 errors, misformation with 253 errors and misordering with 11 errors.
摘要:本研究旨在找出Smk Nusa Dua十年级学生,特别是酒店住宿专业一年级学生在被动语态使用上的错误。本研究的目的是找出错误的类型。研究人员使用Dulays的理论来找出错误的类型。此外,研究者采用描述性质的研究设计。为了获得样本,研究者使用了整群抽样技术。研究者以AP2 10班的45名学生为样本。为了分析数据,研究者对一般现在时的被动语态进行了测试。学生们总共犯了352个错误。遗漏错误21个,加法错误67个,误读错误253个,排序错误11个。

This study is aimed to find out the perception of students towards the use of English – Indonesia code switching as a means of communication in learning and teaching process in the classroom. The study was conducted in Stisipol Candradimuka Palembang, with 20 students from all study programs as the sample of study. The result of study showed that 70% of students preferred to use both English and Indonesia as a means of communication while teaching and learning process. Meanwhile, 20% of students preferred to use Indonesia only as mean of communication in the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. And 10% of students preferred to use English only as the means of communication in the classroom. Based on the result of study, it could be concluded that the students preferred to use the code switching of English and Indonesia as a means of communication in the process of English teaching and learning in the classroom.
