ABSTRAK Korupsi di Indonesia bukan hanya persoalan hukum atau sebuah penyimpangan perilaku. Lebih daripada itu, korupsi merupakan persoalan etika politik. Segala bentuk gratifikasi demi kepentingan pribadi merupakan sebuah bentuk korupsi. Dari sudut pandang etika birokrasi, korupsi berkembang karena kelemahan sistem penegakan hukum atauu kurangnya orientasi kepentingan publik baik dalam praktik maupun dalam kebijakan politik. Oleh karena itu, menguatkan internalisasi etika birokrasi menjadi cara yang paling efektif untuk mengatasi korupsi sampai ke akarnya. Etika politik yang dimaksud tidak dapat berjalan sendiri dan hanya mengedepankan kebebasan politik yang seringkali melindungi hak dan kepentingan pribadi, melainkan harus dibangun dan dikembangkan sejalan dengan demokratisasi. Lebih dari itu, korupsi harus diberantas dengan memperkuat etika politik kewarganegaraan, tanggung jawab kehidupan bernegara, semangat berkorban untuk negara, keadilan dan representasi sumber daya manusia dan pembentukan kepentingan publik serta penegakkannya dalam praktek politik dan determinasi kebijakan sebagai upaya dominan untuk mencegah korupsi. Kata kunci: Etika Birokrasi, Sumber Daya Manusia, Pencegahan Korupsi ABSTRACT Corruption in Indonesia is not only a matter of law or deviant behavior. But, more than that, it is a problem of political ethics. Any public use for the gratification of self-interest is a form of corruption. From bureaucratic ethics standpoint, corruption develops because the weaknesses of system reinforcement or lack of public interests formation in practice and political policy. Therefore, strengthening bureaucratic ethics internalization is the most effective way to overcome corruption from its roots. Such political ethics must be established and developed together with the ongoing democratization, not just to let it alone and only emphasizing the political freedom that often protect the rights and private interests. But, more than that, it must be eroded by strengthening the political ethics of citizenship, responsibility of life as a state, a sense of sacrifice for the country, equality and representation of human resources and public interest formation and its enforcement in political practice and policy determination as dominant effort to prevent corruption. ABSTRAK Tulisan ini berupaya menjelaskan peran perempuan pada organisasi Mahasiswa Pecinta Alam (Mapala) Wanaprastha Dharma, dalam melakukan pelestarian alam. Pada umumnya kegiatan pecinta alam memiliki resiko tinggi dan menuntut kekuatan fisik yang besar, yang identik dimiliki oleh laki-laki. Namun anggota perempuan organisasi Mapala Wanaprastha Dharma mampu melakukan berbagai kegiatan pelestarian alam yang beresiko dengan kekuatan fisik yang memadai. Fenomena tersebut merupakan gambaran konsep ekofeminisme yang menekankan bahwa antara perempuan dan alam memiliki keterkaitan yang tidak dapat dipisahkan, baik oleh kondisi alam itu sendiri maupun oleh stereotipe tentang tubuh perempuan yang dianggap lebih lemah dari laki-laki. Anggota perempuan Mapala Wanaprastha Dharma secara struktural organisasi menempati posisi tinggi, antara lain sebagai ketua umum, sekretaris, maupun ketua pelaksana kegiatan. Melalui penjelasan dalam tulisan ini keterlibatan perempuan dalam pelestarian alam baik yang diimplementasikan secara langsung di lapangan, maupun tidak langsung yakni melalui perencanaan dan program kerja, menunjukan bahwa menjadi hal yang sulit untuk memisahkan perempuan dengan alam. Kata kunci: Mapala Wanaprastha Dharma, perempuan pecinta alam, ekofeminisme ABSTRACT This paper seeks to explain the role of women in the Nature Lovers Student Organization (Mapala) Wanaprastha Dharma, in doing nature conservation. In general the activities of nature lovers have a high risk and demand great physical strength, which is identical to that of men. However, female members of the Mapala Wanaprastha Dharma organization were able to carry out various natural conservation activities which were at risk with adequate physical strength. This phenomenon is an illustration of the concept of eco-feminism which emphasizes that between women and nature has a connection that cannot be separated, both by natural conditions themselves and by stereotypes about the bodies of women who are considered weaker than men. The Mapala Wanaprastha Dharma female member structurally occupies a high position, among others as general chairman, secretary, and chief executive of activities. Through the explanation in this paper, the involvement of women in nature conservation, both directly implemented in the field, and indirectly through planning and work programs, shows that it is difficult to separate women from nature. ABSTRACT Since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the United States has become the world's undisputed economic superpower. However, the economic reforms carried out by China since the 1980s have had a big effect on its economic growth, so that it is able to rank as the second largest economy in the world after the United States. This makes America must respond to China's development by making strategic policies. State leaders have an important role in determining the direction of United States Foreign Policy. From 2009 to 2018, America underwent 2 transitions of leadership, namely from President Barack Obama to being replaced by President Donald Trump. Even though the two leadership eras are close together, the US Foreign Policy towards China is in stark contrast. This research will analyze how the differences in the US Foreign Policy against China in the Barack Obama and Donald Trump Era and the factors that cause differences in their policies by using the idiosyncratic individual factor approach. This article finds that the different backgrounds in the life of a country's leader will influence their perception in determining the direction of their foreign policy.
