Despite all the technological advancement in the field of power grids, there is still a need to enhance those grids, especially in case of extreme events as being the leading cause of continuous blackouts. The recent severe blackouts have highlighted the prominence of improving the resilience of the electric power grid. There has been a steep interesting in the last couple of years to this issue from the power industry and a number of researchers were motivated to diagnose the issue via attempting to suggest ways to improve the self-healing ability. Nevertheless, issues pertinent to validity and resiliency are still raised. This paper proposes an architecture for intelligent decision support system based on deep learning algorithms that can help operators to decide what to do against blackout. The system can offer decision support in the power restoration process. The system aim to restore power in a quick and effective manner in order to reduce blackout duration as well as the economic losses.

Online music diffusion and distribution is becoming increasingly important and commercial and personal databases are increasing in a considerable way. Nowadays, it's necessary to have tools that allow classifying and reaching these bases by carrying out analyzes through musical contents. The work included in this paper consists of automatic prediction of new singers success. This work lies within the scope of audio mining including of the heterogeneous data. Work can be divided into two parts: in the first part, we treat the audio data to make a classification of the Algerian singers' voices. There exist two categories of the singing voices classification (type and quality), each category has several classes. Within this framework, we proposed to use a vector of characteristics which contains the descriptors of MPEG-7 + the descriptors Not-MPEG-7 and Standard T2 FGMMs "Type 2 Fuzzy Gaussian Mixture Models" for modeling and classification of singing voice. By using the results of the singing voices classification with the statistics of every singer, a new database has been created. The second part of work consists of the data mining to answer our starting question "are our young people's musical tastes poor". In this part, we proposed a new method of data excavation, based on the decision trees called: Multi Decision Tree (MDT+). Finally, we used the MDT+ method to excavate our database.

The importance of water resource does not need to be proven. At first sight water seems to be the most abundant resource on earth, but in fact freshwater represents only 1% of all terrestrial water, and the remaining 99% are not available for human use. Of all economic sectors, irrigation is the sector where water scarcity has the greatest impact. Currently it is the largest consumer; it is also the sector with the most adjustment possibilities by integrating intelligent technologies such as wireless sensor networks (WSN) to guarantee more precision in the consumption of this vital resource. However, sensors have limited energy capacity; to resolve this problem in the presented proposal; solar energy is used to power the system. The aim of this paper is to explain how to implement wireless sensor networks technology and solar power in the irrigation field, the most used standards and technologies associate this implementation.

Success and failure of Software depend upon the quality of a software selection of an appropriate model for development of the product. In previous research many techniques were used to check the quality of software. But it is still a challenge for developers to select which technique may be best suited for quality of software. Quality attribute requirements such as those for performance, security, modifiability, reliability, and usability have a considerable influence on the software architecture of a system. Architects need to understand their designs in terms of quality attributes. Software quality assurance (SQA) consists of a means of monitoring the software engineering processes and methods used to ensure quality. The methods by which this is accomplished are varied and may include ensuring conformance to one or more standards. Both manual and automated testing offer benefits and disadvantages. In manual testing (as the name suggests), test cases are executed manually (by a human, that is) without any support from tools or scripts. But with automated testing, test cases are executed with the assistance of tools, scripts, and software.

In this paper, we present a comprehensive investigation the impact of various high-k gate materials on both breakdown voltage and drain current of a vertical 4H-SiC-based power MOSFET, operating in the quasi-saturation regime. The device electrical behavior is numerically investigated using a TCAD-based computation provided by ATLAS 2D simulator. Moreover, the performance parameters, governing the power MOSFET breakdown characteristics are extracted in order to reveal the role of the high-k gate materials in improving the transistor electrical performance. The effect of the dielectric permittivity on the derived current capability in also analyzed. After, we conduct a sensitivity analysis of the breakdown voltage with several high-k materials (Al2O3, HfSiO4, HfO2, and TiO2) and different dielectric thicknesses. It is found that the proposed power MOSFET design exhibits improved electrical behavior not only enables enhancing the drain current but also allows achieving superior breakdown performance as compared to the conventional design, making it suitable for high-performance power electronic applications.

Given the emerging technological development in the fields of telecommunication and smart mobile devices, the number of connected devices around the world is increasing rapidly. Moreover, the tendency to use these small devices is increasing steadily as their capabilities and efficiency increase. Progress in these areas has been an incentive and a reason for enhancing distributed systems, Internet of things and mobile collaborative computing. The advances in hardware and software technologies have necessitated the development of new communication standards adapted to devices constrained in resources in all areas, energy, computing power, memory and bandwidth. These communication standards have a crucial role in enhancing the IOT and other architectures of mobile collaborative computing such as Cloud, Fog, Edge, and Mobile Edge Computing. In this paper, we will review the current communication standards and protocols by showing its role in strengthening mobile communication networks in the different architectures of mobile collaborative computing and under the different circumstances. More specifically, we will illustrate, within a new proposed approach, how they can maintain an efficient connection even between mobile devices on the periphery and how they can establish autonomous mobile networks by using peer-to-peer communication via Wi-Fi Direct and other technologies.
