Deterministic methods of modeling of real radio channels are based on models of physical theory of diffraction, which use decomposition of incident and scattered waves into vertical and horizontal polarization components. However, in case of incidence or scattering of wave along a normal to media boundary such decomposition becomes ambiguous, and a wrong decomposition leads to errors in radio channel characteristics forecast. This paper expounds the rule for disambiguation of polarization decomposition of wave, which provides correct estimation of channel characteristics.

A power divider with two working bandwidths at 800 and 1800 MHz was studied. The overall dimensions of such a device were reduced due to the use of microstrip cells installed instead of conventional lines and bending of the connected stubs. Such a miniature power divider turned out to be 69% less than the full-sized design. In addition, the layout of a compact power divider, obtained by bending all transmission lines in the form of a meander, was considered, this approach showed the greatest efficiency, since with a decrease in area by 71.6%, it was possible to preserve its characteristics without major changes. The proposed devices were fabricated on a FR4 substrate with a thickness of 1 mm. The measured and theoretical characteristics are in good agreement.

The problems of combining a high efficiency value with a wide band in the klystron are discussed. The connection of the gain band with the basic electron-optical parameters is shown. The features of the implementation of the macrostep optimization method for broadband klystrons are shown. The possibility of synthesizing klystrons with an efficiency of 70% with a bandwidth of more than 7% is shown. The possibility of synthesis of ultra-wide-band bunchers with bandwidth about 50% providing the efficiency about 70% in almost whole band is also shown.

This article presents results of real-time simulating the operation of a microwave-photon measuring system for estimating a tangential component of deformation of a vehicle tire using addressed fiber Bragg structures. The relevance of this study is due to the development of active safety equipment for the vehicles and fiber-optic measuring instruments. Since grip properties of the tire can quickly change under the influence of external conditions, such as weather and the condition of the roadway, and others, this fact forces engineers to create measuring devices capable of taking measurements with a high sampling rate, which can be achieved using the technology of polling addressed fiber Bragg structures.

Promising telecommunication satellites located in the geostationary orbit of the Earth require the development of radio electronic communication facilities in the frequency range up to 40 GHz for receiving, routing and retransmitting dozens of radio frequency signals through its channels. The concept of an analog frequency converter using microwave photonic technologies to support broadband, noise-protected and flexible transmission of radio signals has been proposed. The device under consideration has a radiophotonic core with radio frequency input and output sections, which is used for frequency conversion and switching of radio channels. The microwave photonic solution favourably differs from radio-frequency realizations thanks to a wide information frequency band, high noise immunity, radiation firmness, economy of weight and volume of useful load of the satellite that allows to provide for perspective telecommunication repeaters reliability and firmness to influence of factors of space environment.

To create analytical models for disseminating information in social networks, a special technique has been implemented for selected statistics in the network VKontakte (VK). The statistical features of the change in the number of subscribers to social groups in terms of the pageviews are investigated. The classification of the groups of social network users is proposed; their differences and common patterns of mutual transitions are determined.

In this paper, we study two approaches to increase the maximum frequency selectivity and to reduce the dimensions of microstrip filters with a significantly limited number of resonators. Conducted a comparative analysis of these approaches' efficiency in the design of the filters. The possibility of combining these contradictory qualities in compact structures of highly selective microstrip filters on half-wave co-directional hairpin resonators folded into the shape of a “paper clip” is shown.

Interactive properties allow the space to gain new computational qualities, becoming the driving force of people's communication with each other within the space and with the space itself via signal exchange. Interactive environment and users communicate in real time, defining further modes of this interaction and shaping common experience. This paper investigates fundamental and applied questions of sensorial response integration into spatial communication between human and non-human components within interactive experience. As a methodology full scale interactive prototype has been used as a proof of concept to test and assign various types of spatial signals effects on visitors and the degree of their responsiveness and engagement, explaining efficiency of various ways of communication between humans and the interactive environment. Tested interactive space demonstrates quality of both embodied deliberation and the variety and complexity of the socially enabling, spatially embodied situations that this built environment generates.
