Nonlinear Acoustics of Bounded Solid-Reflection and Refraction of Second-order Bulk Waves (I)——P Incidence~* 二阶体波有界固体反射和折射的非线性声学(I)——P入射~*

In the light of the theory of second-order potentials in nonlinear acoustics proposed by the author, this paper investigates the second-order harmonics resulting from an incident bulk wave in a solid with a plane boundary when the P, SV and SH waves are incident. It is shown that several bulk waves of the second-order harmonics occur in solid media besides second-order surface waves. Some of the waves are accumulated and some waves propagate in the direction parallel to the boundary surface. In order to obtain enough expressions for all the third-order elasticity constants, an SH-wave incidence is necessary in addition to the P and SV wave ones. It is pointed out that the contribution of the nonaccumulative waves and the waves resulting from the boundary surface are very important for measuring the nonlinear wave fields.

An Explanation for the Abnormal Temperature Rise of Palladium Cathode During Electrochemical Deuterium Charging 电化学充氘过程中钯阴极异常温升的解释

Palladium bars in different states were used as cathodes to electrolyse the heavy water in a special calorimeter. During the seven long-period electrolysis tests, the abnormal temperature rise was observed only once. On the basis of experimental data and theoretical analysis, the possibilities of chemical and D-D fusion reactions which may cause this phenomenon were eliminated. According to our calculations, we believe that the abnormal temperature rise during the electrolysis of heavy water may result from the release of the elastic strain energy accumulated in the palladium cathodes.

The Characteristic Finite Difference Methods for Enhanced Oil Recovery Simulation and L 2 Estimates 提高采收率模拟及l2估计的特征有限差分法

A 2-dimensional, multicomponent, multiphase, and incompressible compositional reservoir simulator has been developed and applied to chemical flooding (surfactants, alcohol and polymers) and convergence analysis. The characteristic finite difference methods for 2-dimensional enhanced oil recovery can be described as a coupled system of nonlinear partial differential equations. For a generic case of the cross interference and bounded region, we put forward a kind of characteristic finite difference schemes and make use of thick and thin grids to form a complete set, and of calculus of variations, the theory of prior estimates and techniques. Optimal order estimates in L 2 norm are derived for the error in the approximate solutions. Thus we have thoroughly solved the well-known theoretical problem proposed by a famous scientist, J. Douglas, Jr.

Generalized Noether Theorem and Poincaré-Cartan Integral Invariant for Singular High-order Lagrangian in Fields Theories 场理论中奇异高阶拉格朗日的广义Noether定理和poincarm - cartan积分不变量

A generalized first Noether theorem (GFNT) originating from the invariance under the finite continuous group for singular high-order Lagrangian and a generalized second Noether theorem (or generalized Noether identities (GNI)) for variant system under the infinite continuous group of field theory in canonical formalism are derived. The strong and weak conservation laws in canonical formalism are also obtained. It is pointed out that some variant systems also have Dirac constraint. Based on the canonical action, the generalized Poincare-Cartan integral invariant (GPCⅡ) for singular high-order Lagrangian in the field theory is deduced. Some confusions in literafure are clarified. The GPCⅡ connected with canonical equations and canonical transformation are discussed.

This paper discusses discrete elementary subgroups in the Mobius group M( R n ).With a help of geometry,it is proved that these groups are isomorphic to either a group extension of Z by a finite subgroup of SO ( n ) or an extension of a finite group by a free Abelian group of rank k ≤ n .

For the completelv observed discrete-time stochastic system the adaptive control is given so that a quadratic cost is minimized and the unknown coefficients of the system are consistently estimated.The feature of the proposed adaptive control scheme is that it a priori requires neither stability nor minimum-phase of the system.

Study on BaB 2 O 4 -Na 2 B 2 O 4 -K 2 B 2 O 4 Ternary System ba2o - na2o - k2o三元体系的研究

The phase diagram of B 2 O 4 -Na 2 B 2 O 4 -K 2 B 2 O 4 ternary system has been studied by combination of experimental measurement with theoretical calculation.On the basis of selfconsistent thermodynamic analysis of three sub-binary phase diagrams,the optimized the- rmodynamic data of these sub-binary systems are extrapolated to ternary system by asymmet- rical Toop approach,and the B 2 O 4 -Na 2 B 2 O 4 -K 2 B 2 O 4 ternary phase diagram is calculated. In comparison with a measured typical vertical section,the calculated ternary phase diagram is quite satisfactory.

Jing-Kui","doi":"10.1360/YA1993-36-9-1063","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1360/YA1993-36-9-1063","url":null,"abstract":"The phase diagram of B 2 O 4 -Na 2 B 2 O 4 -K 2 B 2 O 4 ternary system has been studied by combination of experimental measurement with theoretical calculation.On the basis of selfconsistent thermodynamic analysis of three sub-binary phase diagrams,the optimized the- rmodynamic data of these sub-binary systems are extrapolated to ternary system by asymmet- rical Toop approach,and the B 2 O 4 -Na 2 B 2 O 4 -K 2 B 2 O 4 ternary phase diagram is calculated.
