The most important necessity in image processing lies in the conversion of ancient Tamil characters to modern text. The ancient Tamil stone inscriptions are the source for these ancient Tamil characters. Analysing and Recognising the ancient Tamil characters from the scripts called inscriptions is a difficult task for the present generation who learn to educate, read and write only through the modern Tamil characters. Learning the elaboration of Modern Tamil from ancient Tamil inscriptions is a time devouring process and thus we need a recognition system that helps to teach, understand and also to research the ancient cultures and heritages. To design a good comprehend and better analysing system we propose a method called noise removal which is also called as pre-processing which removes the entire disturbance in the input image. Next we use a method called morphological operation to perform dilation and erosion operations. Next step is to use the connected component to find the letters which are present in the binary image. Finally we will segment each and every character and match it with our current Tamil language using a process called correlation matching to produce the result of matching characters.

This paper deals with a highly reliable electrical drive utilizing the Brushless DC Motor (BLDC). The motor is fed by Voltage source Inverter (VSI) with a dc-dc converter power factor correction circuit (PFC) as the VSI's predecessor. The Performance of two dc-dc converters (cuk and sepic as PFC) are analyzed and the results are discussed to arrive at the best suited converter. Fuzzy Logic Controller is used as the Intelligent Controller for the BLDC motor. Reliable, low cost arrangement is thus provided to achieve unity power factor and speed regulation with accuracy. The drive has been simulated using the MATLAB/Simulink environment and the performance has been studied.

Generally, the project reveals about the semantic web services based implementation of home appliances into ZigBee coordinators network. Certain studies have been conducted based on the same project. All those studies provided a static environment which was not applicable for dynamic system interactions. In all the previous papers only conventional web services are being used. We have an architecture being described. The system is being tested to prove its realistic which is promising. Further semantic web services have been introduced in the proposed system. Using this architecture, we are able to provide improvement of existing service systems for home network using electronic devices.

At present, many people who own cars keep increasing day by day as the standard of living increases. In the presence of car parking facilities in shopping malls, airports that are visited by people round the clock, many people do come by car. The person would be uncertain about the space available for parking before one reach the place. It would be useful if the person is able to know the status of parking space even before one reaches the destination. Hence, to be simple and cost efficient, we make use of video surveillance camera to track those locations, MATLAB to perform computer vision technique such as background subtraction for to track occupancy and vacancy of the parking slots. An app integrated with it would enable the person view the status of the slots.

Effective scheduling of a distributed application is one of the major issues in distributed computing systems since scheduling algorithms are playing an important role in achieving better performance. A popular representation of an application is directed acyclic graph (DAG), The DAG scheduling problem has been shown to be NP-complete. To introduce an Effective Processor Selection (EPS) algorithm to effectively schedule the application tasks onto the heterogeneous processors. The algorithm is mainly focused on minimizing the application execution time and best processor selection. Although few algorithms in literature for heterogeneous processors, they usually require earliest finish time (EFT) to finish schedule. We present with an objective to meet performance and fast scheduling time, EPS algorithm select the tasks at priority to assign the task. On other hand, processor selection based on constraint satisfaction Problem (CSP) feature.

The development of a semi-autonomous intimation system to parents about the presence of their child in school or college campus is the objective of this Project. If a student bunked his/her class or abducted from school or college, their parents might know that after 6pm only. Here we proposed a new solution to send quick intimation to their parents about the presence of students through school or college bus at 9.30am. By this we can track the children and save them early if any mischief is happening. For this we are using an RFID reader, GPS tracker and GSM module along with an Arduino mega 2560 and its software. RFID readers can read the RFID tags of the students. GSM system is used to send their presence to their parents through SMS. To achieve this, a passive or active tracking device with GPS is used. Passive devices store GPS location, speed and time. Once the vehicle returns to a predestined point, the device is removed and the data downloaded to a computer for evaluation. By this we can get arrival and departure locations of the students. Active devices also collect the same information, but usually transmit the data in near-real-time via cellular or satellite networks to a computer or data center for evaluation. It is used to track the location of a vehicle from organizing itself. This electronic document is a “live” template and already defines the components of your paper [title, text, heads, etc.] in its style sheet.

This paper presents a new twenty seven level cascaded H-bridge multi level inverter for locomotives. This proposed multi level inverter can overcome the need for a large number of electronic switches when the number of level increased. This proposed topology increases the efficiency of the inverter by reducing the switching losses using pulse width modulation technique. Recently in Japan they developed an advanced inverter drive system for bullet trains. By comparing all multilevel inverter topologies this proposed topology can achieve economic voltage control in locomotives which can reduce the total harmonic distortion in both electronic devices and traction motor in general. The proposed multilevel inverter and total harmonic distortion results with MATLAB software was described in this paper.
