An inertial navigation system with high anti-g capability, low power consumption, small volume and low cost is needed on certain specific tactical occasions. The gyroscope-free inertial measurement unit (GF-IMU) uses the linear accelerometers at different positions in space to calculate the angular velocity and estimate the navigation parameters. With the development of the MEMS sensors and Digital Signal Processors (DSP), a low-cost medium-precision tactical inertial measurement system can be developed. A SDRE-based filter algorithm is presented for dealing with the measurement error diverges of the linear accelerometers. A preliminary overall scheme is described, and the configuration profile of the sensors and the system equations are derived and analyzed.

This paper studies the order acceptance problem with tardiness penalties faced by firm who has a pool of potential orders waiting to be accepted and processed through a single production line with multiple processing stages. We present an order acceptance decision model, named the multistage order acceptance model, to handle this problem, which is an extension of the Slotnick-Morton version of single-stage order acceptance model, aiming at maximizing the total profit of these potential orders to be processed through a multi-stage production line. Because of the complexity of the problem that integrates the operations of order acceptance and multi-stage job scheduling, we propose a heuristic algorithm, named Simulated Annealing Based on Partial Optimization (SABPO) algorithm, to solve the model with feasible solutions and acceptable computational time. Empirical experiments on synthetic datasets are carried out to examine the proposed algorithm and also to compare the performances between multi-stage model and single-stage model. The comparisons show that the multi-stage model can always suggest a better decision on order acceptance problem; some potential orders rejected by single-stage model are in fact profitable and will be accepted by multi-stage model.

Multicast routing with multi-QoS is always difficulty one in routing algorithm researches, which is not only a NP-complete problem but also QoS parameters are nondeterministic even fuzzy. Most traditional multicast routing with multi-QoS algorithms belong to accurate algorithms that can't represent actual network status efficiently. Fuzzy set theory is first applied to multicast routing algorithms and the memberships and ideal point have been defined. The models and methods of the distance from QoS parameters to ideal point have been set up which simplify multiple QoS constrains into single distance constrain. An algorithm MMQFS has been designed and implemented. Compared with traditional algorithms, whose simulation result proves that it is superior to them in the CPU execution time.

Restoration system has played a significant role in the remanufacturing engineering which is one of advanced industrial technology. It has become an important approach of sustaining the social progress. In this paper, a practicable restoration system for worn part, aided with an optical three dimension (3D) scanner, is developed to meet the requirements of remanufacture. The scanner is designed to obtain the information of the worn area of the part rapidly and the scanning data is used to guide the restoration procedure precisely. The pivot issues such as the system calibration, worn region location and restoration path planning are introduced in this paper. The real experiments demonstrate that the present system is stable and effective.

The current railway routing system can not produce satisfactory trip plans for passengers with different income backgrounds, taking into account their preferences on route choices. Therefore, the effort on developing and implementing a railway routing and scheduling model that provide personalized trip routes is of great significance in improving railway transportation service. The model proposed was based on current train diagram. Its characteristic variables were established through a comprehensive analysis of factors that contribute railway passengers' trip options. Weightings for these variables were determined by passengers' preferences. Utility function for each section on a railway path was constructed on an initial railway network. The optimization problem of routing generation was then converted to shortest path problem solved by a combination of K shortest path algorithm and A-star algorithm. A case analysis in this thesis verified the feasibility and effectiveness of this model.

When OFDM is applied at a Gigabit coaxial cable carrier communication system, small range of frequency offset estimation and poor frequency offset estimation accuracy have become main obstacle at symbol synchronization process. The paper designs a joint time-frequency symbol synchronization algorithm combining training sequence and the classical maximum-likelihood (ML) synchronization algorithm. In the multi-path channel, the algorithm can ensure that the symbol synchronization position is properly detected, improves the frequency offset estimation accuracy and expands range of frequency offset estimation (-0.8 to 0.8). The algorithm can be widely applied in a variety of coaxial cable communication system.

Based on wireless sensor networks (WSNs), tungsten mine environment monitoring system used of ZigBee was designed. Sensor nodes were arranged under tungsten mine flexibly. It transferred various safety indicators within the mine to the gateway node by the cluster head nodes directly or indirectly, then via transmission network uploaded the data to the ground monitoring center by the gateway node. The system took ATmega128L low-power single-chip as microprocessor module. Respectively it made use of SHT11, KE-25 and T6004 sensors to complete the detection of temperature, humidity, Oxygen (O2) concentration and Carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration. And it displayed the test data by using LED digital tube at real-time. Furthermore, it also used a buzzer as sound component to complete alarming and CC2420 wireless transceiver chip as the core of the communication module. All nodes powered by two AA batteries.

Nerve cells communicate by generating and transmitting action potentials. Annihilation of neural oscillation by functional electrical stimulation is a promising treatment modality in neural diseases. In this paper, a robust adaptive fuzzy tracking control is proposed for stochastic Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) neuron systems to generate a desired reference response in spite of environmental noises, uncertain initial values, and diffusion currents from other interconnected nerve cells. The robust adaptive fuzzy tracking control scheme can provide new methods for desired action potential generation, suppression of oscillations with a single compartment nerve cell model, and blockage of action potential transmission with a multi-compartment nerve fiber model under environmental noise and diffusion currents.

We develop a mind control system for humanoid robot through a brain-computer-interface (BCI), consisting of a 32 channel electroencephalograph (EEG), a humanoid robot, and a CCD camera. We present two types of humanoid robots in the BCI control system: KT-X PC robot with 20 degrees of freedom (DOFs) or NAO H25 robot with 25 DOFs. The CCD camera takes video clips of a subject or an instructor hand postures to identify mental activities when the subject is thinking "turning right, " "turning left, " or "walking forward." As an initial test, we implement three types of robot walking behaviors: turning right, turning left and walking forward, and report the neural signals correlated to these three mental activities.
