This paper presents practical results of realization and testing of the most famous approaches of model order reduction (MOR) for analog devices in Matlab. The key feature of presented approaches is their realization using mathematical operation singular value decomposition (svd). This paper includes examples of applying methods of model order reduction of linear systems, model order reduction of linear systems with a set of terminals, and model order reduction of nonlinear systems through piecewise-liner approximation. Devices, whose modeling is defined in this paper, contain elements with distributed parameters. Simulink was used to describe devices, developed modules Matlab were used for MOR.

A technology of Ti/Al contacts using thermal vacuum evaporation and further annealing in vacuum wasproposed. Contacts for Si-doped AlxGa1-xN epitaxial layers (x = 0.08 - 0.7, n = 1.7 · 1019 cm-3) were fabricated and investigated. The Si-doped epitaxial layers were grown by plasma-assisted MBE and HVPE (x = 0.1, n = 1016 - 1019) on c-sapphire substrates. The contact resistance of 8 · 10-5 Ω· cm2 was achieved for the Al0.5Ga0.5N sample. Auger electron spectroscopy was used to study redistribution of metal atoms after annealing.

Transverse flux induction heating (TFH) of flat metal products is one of the most effective induction technologies. This method provides very high efficiency in combination with unique technological flexibility and extremely low floor space required. It makes TFH beyond competition to be applied in continuous strip production and processing lines. However, to realise all potential advantages of TFH concept is possible only by optimal design and control of heating installations. Experience of last years shows that successful creation of TFH systems can be only based on numerical modelling. At the same time even advanced 3D simulation codes do not provide exactable engineering solution by themselves. Additional application of automatic optimisation techniques is only the way to overcome this situation. This paper is devoted to application of most effective optimisation algorithms for atomised design of TFH systems. Genetic algorithms of optimisation are more and more often used in engineering science because of their unique possibilities. Use of genetic algorithms in combination with 3D electromagnetic and thermal analysis of TFH systems allows to make optimal 3D shape design of inductors. This problem can not be solved in effective way by conventional design methods.

Several system dynamics evaluation methods based on first Lyapunov exponent estimation were developed. Method which eliminates influential periodical component from time-series was presented. Influence of developed methods parameters values on first Lyapunov exponent estimation precision was investigated. Simulation of different linear, nonlinear, stationary and non-stationary systems with the emphasis on the first Lyapunov exponent evaluation was carried out. Sophisticated model of hydrostatic drive control system was analyzed.

All approaches to microoptical gyro design are using only amplitude characteristics for determining the angular velocity. Our results indicate that one can use the phase characteristics for the same goal. The paper considers the advantages of phase measurements in microoptical gyro.

The LIP has developed space cryogenics since 2000, and has taken great progress in Stirling cryocooler. For domestic and potential application in future in space mission, a large cooling capacity Stirling cryocooler with a heat lift of 10W at 260W electric power input has been developed. In order to meet the rigor demand for large impulse, high efficient and tight compactness, the moving coil motor and moving magnet motor has been evaluated through analysis. The moving magnet motor performs high efficient and better compactness. A moving magnet motor is new to LIP. The magnet circuit for elements tests was evaluated by a basic equation and computed by multi-purpose FEM software. The results from the element tests and calculation data were used for improving design. This paper describes the development the motor design and analysis results.

The aim of the article is the detection of advantages of multiobjective optimization methods for improving of power system oscillatory stability. The problem of automatic voltage regulator (AVR) amplification coefficients choice is considered for 57-node IEEE test scheme for the group of generators. The AVR settings choice is performed with use of vector criterion and special genetic algorithm of multiobjective optimization. The comparison of the results, which were got with use of the most common AVR settings choice principles in the conditions of real power systems, is made.
