Absorption, reflectance and transmission of thin layered films with metallic spheroidal nanoinclusions was calculated. The dependence of the absorption, reflectance and transmission spectra on the volume fraction, the shape of inclusions when probing monochromatic beams oriented normally to the film plane were analyzed by means of contour maps. The range of the parameters obtained for morphology of the film under study can be useful as the optimal conditions of technological process for fabrication of the optically selective absorber coatings, for example, in thermal solar collectors with the desired optical properties.

The article gives a brief overview of the state of solution of an important scientific and applied problem of mathematical modeling of the physiological system of carbohydrate exchange regulation. It shows that for the half of the century all the previous attempts to solve it have been physiologically inadequate. It demonstrates the model that has been proposed a little more than twenty years ago and is yet little known to the scientific community, which is the most minimal model of regulation of carbohydrate exchange in the form of the model of the homeostatic self-regulation of the glycemic level for a single variable of the glycemic state at the periphery. This model is structurally-functional in the form of a differential equation of the first order with a delayed argument. It reproduces - without re-adjusting of its main parameters - universally the glycemic curve of both IVGTT and OGTT, as well as the daily glycemic profile. The internal fundamental difference of this model from all the previous models is ascertained in describing the oscillations of glycemic curves due to the different character of the negative feedback connection with delay: the local and integral aftereffect. For the first time the universal equation of oscillations is proposed in the system with self-regulation, which combines both harmonic and nonharmonic oscillations.

Copper nanolayers were formed using the vacuum magnetron-assisted sputtering (direct current) in various technological modes (sedimentation speed, working pressure, discharge power). Results of microstructural study of the 1 nm to 65 nm thick copper nanofilms deposited on quartz, glass and silicon substrates are presented. Spectra of transmission and reflection coefficients of the copper nanofilms were studied in the wavelength range from $0.2 mutext{m}$ to $1.1 mutext{m}$, The transmission and reflection spectra of films correspond well to the known spectra of bulk materials. The obtained results are of practical importance for development of nanostructural systems with the preset optical properties and for design of functional devices to be used in optoelectronics, information and energy-saving technologies.

Digital images of a rather high resolution are widely used in modern medical practice. Due to their large size, there exists necessity to compress them before storage or transmission via communication lines in telemedicine. Possibilities of lossless compression are limited and one often has to apply lossy compression with providing acceptable diagnostic quality of compressed data (with ensuring visually lossless compression). This paper proposes ways to carry out such a compression in one iteration, i.e. quickly enough with application to retina images. An efficient coder based on discrete cosine transform (DCT) in 32×32 pixels blocks is analyzed. It is shown that mean squared error (MSE, or PSNR (peak signal to noise ratio) of introduced distortions can be predicted by estimating distribution of alternating current (AC) DCT coefficients in a limited number of 8×8 pixel blocks and very fast processing of these DCT coefficients. We present approximating (predicting) curves obtained by regression of several types of simple functions into scatter-plots. This allows setting coder parameter (quantization step - QS) to provide a desired MSE. Applicability of the proposed way of prediction approach is demonstrated experimentally for real-life retina images.

The structural, resistance, magnetoresistance and dielectric properties of $mathbf{La}_{0.7}mathbf{Ca}_{0.3-boldsymbol{x}}mathbf{K}_{boldsymbol{x}}mathbf{Mn}_{1+boldsymbol{x}}mathbf{O}_{3-delta}$ ceramics with a concentration of $boldsymbol{x}=0-0.3$ were investigated by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric, resistance, magnetoresistance and dielectric spectroscopy methods. It has been shown that a real perovskite structure contains variable valence of manganese ions as well as point defects of the vacancy type. It has been established that an increase in the dielectric permittivity $varepsilon^{prime}$ within the ultra high frequency range is observed with increase in concentration of superstoichiometric manganese in rare-earth manganites. The optimal composition of the rare-earth manganite with the high values of the magnetoresistance and $varepsilon^{prime}$ within the room temperature range is determined. Superstoichiometric manganese leads to an increase in the spin and charge polarization of the electronic subsystem.

This study suggests the use of convolutional neural networks for the classification of bronchopulmonary system diseases, by considering the lung sounds as an image that called spectrogram. Analyzing images and getting a set of parameters, there is the possibility of training and getting certain classifiers. Subsequently, the use of this method can help pulmonologist make a correct diagnosis.

This work is devoted to high-resolution WorldView-2 and WorldView-3 satellite imagery processing. We have developed a satellite imagery automatic classification algorithm based on the object-based approach. Three different segmentation methods are investigated in order to determine which is the most appropriate for our task. The experimental results show a good accuracy of the proposed algorithm.

In this article high-frequency cutoff of Fourier spectrum pulse response for drift speed of gallium nitride is investigated. The resulting cutoff frequencies are compared with frequency-domain limits of negative dynamic conductance. The proposed method is based on solution of differential equation system which consists of relaxation expressions for energy, impulse and concentration. Relaxation times used for various kinds of scattering are considered.
