When children are abused, they are traumatized at the most crucial period of their lives in which their personality is still developing. Consequently, they suffer from several problems that continue to plague them into their adulthood. On the contrary, the trauma that happens during adulthood affects the personality that is already formed (Herman,1992, p.96). This paper aims to investigate the long-term consequences of childhood abuse in Paula Vogel’s play How I Learned to Drive (1997) based on Judith Herman’s views in her book Trauma and Recovery (1992). It examines two psychological disorders proposed by Herman that the characters suffer from: post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (c-PTSD). Additionally, it introduces the different types of abuse Li’l Bit experiences and the risk factors that make her more vulnerable to abuse. Moreover, it shows how trauma can be transferred from one generation to another. It further investigates the complicated nature of the relationship between Li’l Bit and Uncle Peck, elaborating her psychological motives behind meeting him. Finally, the paper elaborates Li’l Bit’s journey of self-discovery being the play’s protagonist and main victim of childhood trauma.

Down Syndrome (DS) is a developmental disorder caused by a genetic chromosomal abnormality in the twenty-first chromosome that is characterized by poor cognitive and linguistic abilities. Several studies on the linguistic deviation in the DS population have reported deficits in the acquisition of language that persist from infancy until adulthood. However, most of the literature in this research area has been chiefly undertaken on English-speaking individuals. Hence, the current study endeavors to investigate the syntax of DP, IP, and CP in the language of an Egyptian DS individual within the theoretical framework of Generative Grammar. The rationale for selecting syntax and morphosyntax in DS for investigation is that it is one of the most affected areas by the intellectual disability caused by the syndrome. Thus, examination of the language disorder in an Arabic-speaking DS individual is expected to elucidate the linguistic characteristics of the syndrome further. The DS participant in this study came from a larger study investigating the phonological and syntactic impairments in a sample of Egyptian DS individuals. The primary objective of this study is to reveal the syntactic deviations in the participant’s language and compare them to the trends reported in the literature of typical language acquisition. The research hypothesizes that the syntactic errors are constrained by the rules of Universal Grammar. The analysis reveals the presence of syntactically operant functional heads in the underlying structure despite being phonetically null on the surface structure.

Environmental education is considered a remedy and a preventive strategy at the same time, in encountering severe environmental problems, which we all face today, because it promote environmental awareness for future generations, and establish responsibility for actions towards protecting the environment and the planet, while caring for the life of all creatures, and human beings included. The results of some studies indicated that incorporating environmental education within several courses among the curriculum, achieved better results compared to specifying an independent course, because environmental education is an interdisciplinary area of study. It could be possible to compensate the limitation of resources in schools through adopting computer-aided instruction, which infra structure was well established during the period of COVID pandemic, by presenting documentary videos instead of long distance field trips, and also inviting environmental specialists through interactive media programs, and other recourses which computer and internet could provide. The research paper represents several approaches which could serve the environmental education area, and also a group of related recommendations.

: In the light of the great renaissance witnessed by the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the conditions of Saudi women have witnessed huge transformations, as 2030 vision is concerned with their fairness and empowerment, by giving them their civil and legal rights. Therefore, it can be said that Saudi women have taken giant steps towards active participation, both scientifically and practically to serve the renaissance of Saudi society. The current on these transformations, and the interaction of Saudi society with them, at the family level, at professional levels, and business sector, while reviewing some of the challenges of the current stage and the proposed solutions.

: The research aimed to identify the challenges of employing digital learning technology in early childhood institutions in view of contemporary global trends, and the research was addressed through three main categories: Digital learning technology, challenges of employing digital learning technology in early childhood institutions & contemporary global trends in employing digital learning technology. The research has reached several challenges represented in: Lack of technological devices in some families, Poor technical equipment – poor internet speed- Poor skill level of some families when dealing with information technology. Lack of cooperation between the children's families and their kindergarten teachers. The research recommended the need to use technology in early childhood as a supporting tool to improve children's learning and provide them with digital capabilities to deal with the digital revolution, with attention to encouraging children to interact, play, discover the natural world and express themselves in playgrounds, gardens, and interactive activities to develop skills of cooperation, participation, and teamwork.
