The problem which is discussed in this research is the internalization of character education for students through literary literacy (Parmin’s Short story compilation) by Jujur Prananto. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to internalize the character education for students through literary literacy literacy (Parmin’s Short story compilation) by Jujur Prananto. Descriptive qualitative is used as a method in this research. The result showed that Parmin’s short story compilation can be used as one of discourse to internalize excellent character values for students.

Clitics are words or parts of words that are structurally depend on neighboring words (it is the host) and cannot stand alone. The objectives of the research are 1) to investigate the types of clitics in the Novel “Murder on the Orient Express” by Agatha Crhistee. 2) to investigate the dominant types of clitics in the novel “Murder on the Orient Express” by Agatha Crhistee. This research used qualitative descriptive method and the instrument used was the researchers. The data of this research is taken from the novel “Murder on the Orient Express” by Agatha Christee. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman technique, the steps are: data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion and verification. From the research results obtained that the researchers found 699 clitics. There are 22 proclitics and 677 enclitics. Proclitic only has two kinds (o') and (d'). While enclitic has eight kinds, namely ('m), ('re), ('ll), ('ve), ('d), ('s), (n't), and genetive ('s) and the percentage shows that enclitic is 96.85% greater than the proclitic is 3.15%. So it can be concluded that enclitic is the most dominant used in novel Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christee.

One of the function of language is a communication tool. The form of the respect and appreciation of the person to others when communicating is to use polite and courteous language. Therefore, in this research article, the problem that would be discussed was “The Perceptions of Directive Politeness in Indonesian language for the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program”. The purpose of this research was to describe the directive politeness in Indonesian language for the students of Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. The quantitative descriptive method was applied in this research by describing the frequency of the politenes in Indonesian language for the students of Indonesian language and literature education study program. Furthermore, it was describe the differences perception of the politeness for the students of Indonesian language and literature of education who in Lampung ethnic and Javanese ethnic: between male students of Lampung and Javanese ethnicity, between female students of Lampung and Javanese ethnicity as it is. The questionnaire was applied in this research to get the data on the directives politeness in Indonesian language.The questionnaire contains a context that consisting of 20 questions followed by nine multiple choices of directive speech act from impolite, less polite to polite. The nine sequences of directive speech acts are: A. Imperative sentence/Kalimat Imperatif (KI), B. Explicit Performative Sentence/Kalimat Performative Eksplisit (KPE), C. Gated Performative Sentence/Kalimat Performative Berpagar (KPB), D.Statement of Desire/Pernyataan Keinginan (PI), F. Formulation of Suggestions/Rumusan Saran (RS), G. Preparation of Questions/Persiapan Pertanyaan (PP), H. Strong Signals/Isyarat Kuat (IK), and I. Soft Signs/ Isyarat Halus (IH). The result of the research was there were significant differences and similarities in the perception of the Indonesian Language in directive politeness of Lampung and Javanese ethnic students. The differences perception of directive politeness in Indonesian language of Lampung and Javanese ethnic students were in the statement A, B, D, F, G, H, and I; the similarity perception of directive politeness in Indonesian language of Lampung and Javanese etchnic students were in statements C and E. The purpose of this study was to find out the students perceptions on the use of e-book as learning sources at the sixth semester students of English Education Study Program of Baturaja University.The population of the research was 22 students majoring in English study program. The writer took 22 students by using total sampling.This study used descriptive qualitative method and the data was collected by using questionaire. The questionnaire consists of 20 items in the form of five likert scale. The result of the study showed that 92.90% students had positive response and support e book as learning sources. It indicated that e book was easy to use. By using e book the both students and lecturers can improve their creativity.

Abstract: This research was intended to explore the phenomenon about the students’ vocabulary mastery can be correlating with their writing achievement. The objectives of this research is to investigate whether there is significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and the students’ achievement in writing descriptive text at the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi in academic year 2020/2021. The kind of this research is quantitative research and used correlational research design. The research was followed by 40 students which was established by using proportional random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research were tests and divided into two types of test. The first test was written test and the second test was vocabulary mastery test with multiple choice form. Then, to prove the hypothesis of the research, the researcher analyzed the data by using the formula of pearson product moment correlation and resulted Then, , with the value of was 28,24 and was 2,027. Based on the result of the data analysis above, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected, which showed there is significant correlation between vocabulary mastery and the students’ achievement in writing descriptive text at the eighth graders of SMP Negeri 3 Kotabumi in academic year 2020/2021. The aimed of this article is to describe the use of denotative and connotative meaning in writing poetry. Writing as an activity carried out by someone in expressing thoughts, idea, and feeling through words. There are several kinds of writing activity that someone can do; one of them is writing poetry. Poetry is one of literary works besides prose and drama, poetry consists of stanzas, lines, rhythms, and rhymes. The meaning used in poetry usually uses two meanings, there are denotative and connotative meanings, and denotative meaning is literal or actual meaning of the word itself, while denotative meaning is a meaning that has a sense and emotional feeling of the word. By using connotative or figurative language, the poetry can be seen more beautiful and contains aesthetic effect. It is also used by the poet to convey something indirectly as variations in writing poetry.

It is not only happen on adult, but also on children. Hoax brings negative effect for society, especially for children because they will have a bad behavior. So to solve this problem, they need character education. Character education is one of education to improve values of nation characters on students. Character education will be successful with litration culture, that is literature learning. The students will face directly about live value of figures, such as religion value, honestly, tolerance, love, justice, and service. Menulis merupakan kemampuan yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa karena dengan menulis siswa dapat menuangkan ide dan pikiran. Untuk dapat menulis paragraf yang baik siswa harus memperhatikan bagian dari paragraf itu sendiri seperti kalimat utama, kalimat-kalimat pendukung, dan kalimat penutup. Maka dari itu untuk mengetahui ketepatan menulis paragraf, guru perlu memberikan umpan balik kepada siswa agar mereka mengetahui letak dan alasan ketidaktepatan hasil menulisnya. Umpan balik yang dapat diberikan guru kepada siswa dapat berupa umpan balik langsung (Direct Feedback) dan tidak langsung (Indirect Feedback). Umpan balik langsung yaitu guru menandai kesalahan atau ketidaktepatan dengan memberikan koreksi atau jawaban pada bagian yang salah, sedangkan umpan balik tidak langsung guru hanya mengoreksi dengan memberikan kode-kode tertentu seperti membulati bagian yang salah atau menggaris bawahi, dan menyilang tanpa memberitahu langsung jawaban atau alasan ketidaktepatan tersebut dengan jawaban yang benar. Oleh karena itu pemberian umpan balik diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat positif dan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam menulis paragraf.
