Secure Pre-authentication Schemes for Fast Handoff in Proxy Mobile IPv6 基于代理移动IPv6的快速切换安全预认证方案

In mobile communication, there are various types of handoff for the support of all forms of mobility. Proxy mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6) enables local network-based mobility management of a mobile node without any effect of mobility-related signaling. Recently, PMIPv6 has been considered for supporting mobility management in LTE/SAE-based mobile networks. To support seamless mobility in heterogeneous mobile networks, the overall cost of handoffs needs to be minimized and the procedure should be guaranteed to be secure. However, the reduction of the authentication cost has not been fully investigated to provide seamless connectivity when mobile users perform a handoff between the PMIPv6 domains. This paper proposes secure pre-authentication schemes, completing an authentication procedure before performing a handoff, for a fast handoff in PMIPv6. Analytic models have been used for measuring the authentication latency and for the overhead cost analysis. In addition to providing fast authentication, the proposed pre-authentication schemes can prevent threats such as replay attacks and key exposure.

Dispersion-Managed Optical Links Combined with Asymmetrical Optical Phase Conjugation for Compensating for Distorted WDM Signals 色散管理光链路与非对称光相位共轭相结合补偿WDM失真信号

The combination of dispersion management (DM) and midway optical phase conjugation (OPC) is one of the promising techniques for compensating for optical signal distortion due to group velocity dispersion and nonlinear fiber effects. However, in this combination technique, midway OPC restricts the flexible optical link configuration. Therefore, the possibility of implementing the flexible optical link configuration with non-midway OPC applied to complete inline DM links is investigated in this study. It is confirmed that although the compensation using non-midway OPC for the distorted WDM channels is less effective than that using midway OPC, when non-midway OPC is placed at positions closer to the transmitters, the deployment of precompensation (i.e., the sequence of DCF + SMF)–OPC–postcompensation (i.e., the sequence of SMF + DCF) is more advantageous for the compensation. On the other hand, inverse deployment with respect to OPC (i.e., postcompensation–OPC–precompensation) is more advantageous when non-midway OPC is placed at positions closer to the receivers.

General SPICE Modeling Procedure for Double-Gate Tunnel Field-Effect Transistors 双栅隧道场效应晶体管的通用SPICE建模程序

Currently there is a lack of literature on SPICE-level models of double-gate (DG) tunnel field-effect transistors (TFETs). A DG TFET compact model is presented in this work that is used to develop a SPICE model for DG TFETs implemented with Verilog-A language. The compact modeling approach presented in this work integrates several issues in previously published compact models including ambiguity about the use of tunneling parameters Ak and Bk, and the use of a universal equation for calculating the surface potential of DG TFETs in all regimes of operation to deliver a general SPICE modeling procedure for DG TFETs. The SPICE model of DG TFET captures the drain current-gate voltage (Ids-Vgs) characteristics of DG TFET reasonably well and offers a definite computational advantage over TCAD. The general SPICE modeling procedure presented here could be used to develop SPICE models for any combination of structural parameters of DG TFETs.

A Design for a Modified Circular Slot Antenna with a Fork-like Tuning Stub for UWB Operations 一种用于超宽带操作的带有叉状调谐根的改进型圆槽天线设计

This paper proposes and experimentally tests a modified circular slot antenna fed by a fork-like tuning stub for ultra-wideband (UWB) operation. The proposed antenna consists of a modified circular slot model and fork-like tuning stub. The proposed antenna is printed on a 34.0 ㎜ × 30.0 ㎜ FR4 substrate with thickness of 1.0 mm and relative permittivity of 4.4. The effect of various parameters of the circular slot and fork-like tuning stub is investigated for UWB operation. The modified circular slot and fork-like tuning stub are fabricated on the substrate to achieve wideband operation and good impedance matching. Experimental results demonstrated that the measured return loss exhibits an acceptable agreement with the simulated return loss and satisfies the -10 dB impedance bandwidth requirement while simultaneously covering the UWB bands. In addition, the proposed antenna shows good radiation characteristics and gains in the UWB bands.

Developing an Intelligent Health Pre-diagnosis System for Korean Traditional Medicine Public User 韩医公共用户智能健康预诊断系统开发

Korea Traditional Medicine is popular in use among Korean public but there exist few available health information systems on the internet. A computerized self-checking diagnosis system is proposed to reduce the social cost by monitoring health status with simple symptom checking procedures especially for Korea Traditional Medicine users. Methods: Based on the national reports for disease/symptoms of Korea Traditional Medicine, we build a reliable database and devise an intelligent inference engine using Fuzzy ART Clustering. The implemented system gives five most probable diseases a user might have with respect to symptoms given by the user. Thus, in this paper, we propose a self-diagnosis system of Korean traditional medicine based on Korean Standard Causes of Death Disease Classification Index(KCD) and Fuzzy ART/inference method. Since this is for self-diagnosis, our system has graphical user-friendly interface that accepts symptoms of user from a certain part of body where the user feels inconvenient. Inference results are verified by Korea Traditional Medicine doctors as sufficiently accurate and easy to use.

Dynamic Multi-frame Transmission Technology Using the WiMedia MAC for Multi-hop N-screen Services 基于WiMedia MAC的多跳n屏业务动态多帧传输技术

N-screen is a promising technology to improve support for multimedia multicasting, content sharing, content mobility, media scalability, and seamless mobility. In this paper, the WiMedia distributed-MAC (D-MAC) protocol is adopted for development of a seamless N-screen wireless service. Furthermore, to provide a multi-hop, one source multi-use N-screen service through point to point streaming in a seamless D-MAC protocol, a dynamic multi-frame transmission technology is proposed. In this technology, a dynamic time slot allocation scheme and a multi-hop resource reservation scheme are combined. In the proposed dynamic time slot allocation scheme, two thresholds, a hard threshold and a soft threshold, are included to satisfy the power consumption and delay requirements. A multi-frame DRP reservation scheme is proposed to minimize end-to-end delay during the multi-hop transmissions between N-screen devices. The proposed dynamic multi-frame transmission scheme enhances Nscreen performance in terms of the multi-hop link establishment success rate and link establishment time compared to the conventional WiMedia D-MAC system.

Visual Quality Enhancement of Three-Dimensional Integral Imaging Reconstruction for Partially Occluded Objects Using Exemplar-Based Image Restoration 基于样本的图像恢复增强部分遮挡目标三维积分成像重建的视觉质量

In generally, the resolution of reconstructed three-dimensional images can be seriously degraded by undesired occlusions in the integral imaging system, because the undesired information of the occlusion overlap the three-dimensional images to be reconstructed. To solve the problem of the undesired occlusion, we present an exemplar-based image restoration method in integral imaging system. In the proposed method, a minimum spanning tree-based stereo matching method is used to remove the region of undesired occlusions in each elemental image. After that, the removed occlusion region of each elemental images are re-established by using the exemplar-based image restoration method. For further improve the performance of the image restoration, the structure tensor is used to solve the filling error cause by discontinuous structures. Finally, the resolution enhanced three-dimensional images are reconstructed by using the restored elemental images. The preliminary experiments are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.

To solve the problem of the undesired occlusion, we present an exemplar-based image restoration method in integral imaging system. In the proposed method, a minimum spanning tree-based stereo matching method is used to remove the region of undesired occlusions in each elemental image. After that, the removed occlusion region of each elemental images are re-established by using the exemplar-based image restoration method. For further improve the performance of the image restoration, the structure tensor is used to solve the filling error cause by discontinuous structures. Finally, the resolution enhanced three-dimensional images are reconstructed by using the restored elemental images. The preliminary experiments are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method.","PeriodicalId":272551,"journal":{"name":"J. Inform. and Commun. Optimized and Portable FPGA-Based Systolic Cell Architecture for Smith-Waterman-Based DNA Sequence Alignment 基于smith - waterman DNA序列比对的优化和便携式fpga收缩细胞结构

The alignment of DNA sequences is one of the important processes in the field of bioinformatics. The Smith–Waterman algorithm (SWA) performs optimally for aligning sequences but is computationally expensive. Field programmable gate array (FPGA) performs the best on parameters such as cost, speed-up, and ease of re-configurability to implement SWA. The performance of FPGA-based SWA is dependent on efficient cell-basic implementation-unit design. In this paper, we present an optimized systolic cell design while avoiding oversimplification, very large-scale integration (VLSI)-level design, and direct mapping of iterative equations such as previous cell designs. The proposed design makes efficient use of hardware resources and provides portability as the proposed design is not based on gate-level details. Our cell design implementing a linear gap penalty resulted in a performance improvement of 32× over a GPP platform and surpassed the hardware utilization of another implementation by a factor of 4.23.

Performance Evaluation of a New AODV Protocol with Auxiliary Metrics 一种带有辅助度量的新型AODV协议的性能评估

The AODV protocol uses many RREQ messages and one RREP message in the path-discovery process. This protocol has only one metric, the number of hops. Although it is simple, this protocol is not efficient. To avoid this problem, we propose a new AODV with two auxiliary metrics (AuM-2-AODV). The AuM-2-AODV protocol tries multiple route replies, which reduces the chance of path failure and helps the network obtain a better data rate. It has two auxiliary metrics, the remaining energy of its nodes and the number of HELLO messages received at the nodes. With these two metrics, the reliable path from the source node to the destination node will be chosen. In this paper, the performance of the AuM-2-AODV is evaluated using the NS-3 simulator. The performance results show that AuM-2-AODV provides greater throughput and packet delivery ratio by 20% and up to 50% and about 100% in some cases, respectively, than previous protocols.

Three-Dimensional Automatic Target Recognition System Based on Optical Integral Imaging Reconstruction 基于光学积分成像重建的三维自动目标识别系统

In this paper, we present a three-dimensional (3-D) automatic target recognition system based on optical integral imaging reconstruction. In integral imaging, elemental images of the reference and target 3-D objects are obtained through a lenslet array or a camera array. Then, reconstructed 3-D images at various reconstruction depths can be optically generated on the output plane by back-projecting these elemental images onto a display panel. 3-D automatic target recognition can be implemented using computational integral imaging reconstruction and digital nonlinear correlation filters. However, these methods require non-trivial computation time for reconstruction and recognition. Instead, we implement 3-D automatic target recognition using optical cross-correlation between the reconstructed 3-D reference and target images at the same reconstruction depth. Our method depends on an all-optical structure to realize a real-time 3-D automatic target recognition system. In addition, we use a nonlinear correlation filter to improve recognition performance. To prove our proposed method, we carry out the optical experiments and report recognition results.
