In this article, the problem of the stability for delay-dependent neural networks is concerned. A new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is introduced, so as to obtain some more superior delay-dependent stability criterion. Moreover, by employing the delay decomposition technique, some novel absolute stability conditions are established, which refine and improve some existing ones. Finally, the feasibility and superiority of the proposed method is demonstrated by a numerical example.

To generate a virtual view image in real-time, this paper propose a fast depth image based rendering method. Firstly, a simple and efficient hole filling method is performed to prevent hole filling error and improve virtual view quality. Secondly, high speed GPU is used to speed up computation speed of DIBR algorithm. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can generate virtual view images 10 times faster than a CPU-based processing. The proposed method not only takes small bandwidth but also achieves good view quality subjectively. It can be applied to real time 3DTV system.

The direct drive NC table using ring permanent magnet torque motor is easily affected by its own saturation and the effect of the load disturbance. In the view of the characteristic, we design an adaptive fault-tolerant feedback controller to improve the ability of disturbance tolerance and the H∞ performance of the system we designed under the situation that the actuator has disturbances and saturation. The article compares the adaptive H∞ control algorithm with the fixed-gain control based on the linear matrix inequality (LMI) technique. The results of simulation show that the adaptive H∞ control algorithm is better.

This paper considers fair resource allocation schemes for multipath networks with non-congestion related packet losses which can be caused by, for example, errors on links on the routes, and develops a relaxed multipath network utility maximization problem. In order to obtain the optimum, a primal algorithm is presented and shown to be globally stable in the absence of round-trip delays. When round-trip delays are considered, decentralized sufficient conditions for local stability of the algorithm are proposed in continuous-time form. These conditions can give us some useful guidelines for effective implementation of multipath transmission protocols in Internet in order to achieve the stability of network in the presence of round-trip delays.

For the control issue of non-uniformly sampled data systems, a novel control scheme is proposed by using multiple sub-models. The input-output relationship model is obtained by using mathematical analysis and derivation for a class of multi-rates systems non-uniformly sampled from their continuous-time systems. For unmeasurable information vectors arising in the identification model, an auxiliary-model-based gradient descent identification algorithm is used to estimate the model parameters of the non-uniformly sampled systems. Next, we present a new self-tuning control scheme based on designing the controllers of multiple sub-models. Finally, the simulation example is studied to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this note, we study the consensus problem for a group of agents that communicate via a switching information network. The results are equipped with a self-triggered strategy to reduce the frequency of individual agent control updating since the agents may be resource-limited in many real-world situations, where each agent only updates its control input at its own event instants. Moreover, we provide weaker conditions on connectivity under time-dependent interaction topologies based on the convergence analysis of the basic self-triggered algorithm. The effectiveness of the proposed technique is clarified by numerical simulations.

Failure or damage events that degrade performance pose significant risk to aircraft in flight. The concept of extended trim state which contains airspeed, flight path angle, turn rate and angle of attack is proposed to prevent the aircraft from reaching the uncontrollable or unfeasible state. This paper applies retrospective cost adaptive control (RCAC) to follow the extended trim state commands. By solving the retrospective cost function and changing the parameter following weights, the chosen parameters in the possibly conflicting extended trim commands can be followed accurately.

In this paper, two adaptive inventory control models, i.e. centralized and decentralized respectively, for a multi-echelon multi-cycle supply chain consisting of one supplier and one retailer with non-stationary stochastic demand were established. In the centralized model, the vendor managed inventory replenishment policy was used by the supplier and the retailer didn't keep any stock. An improved exponential smoothing method was used by the supplier to forecast the future demand. The EOQ model was used by the supplier to determine the replenishment quantity for the retailer and an adaptive approach was used by the supplier to determine his safety stock to against demand fluctuation. An reinforcement learning algorithm was adopted to select an proper safety factor according to the stochastic demand. On the contrary, in the decentralized model, both the supplier and the retailers hold their own inventory and safety stock for themselves respectively. That is, they control their own inventory independently. In both cases, the aim is to satisfy the given target service level predefined. In our simulation study, two types of demand patterns, stationary and non-stationary demand, are considered respectively. The bullwhip effect generated in the course of forecasting and processing of demand information were analyzed. The results show that the proposed method can satisfy the given service level and mitigate the bullwhip effect to some extent.

This paper investigates the problem of node deployment and routing algorithm of several wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in high-speed railway based on quality of service (QoS). Unlike most of the existing works on QoS, which only consider partial indexes or do not deal with some specific scenarios, a relatively sophisticated QoS evaluation index system for high-speed railway operating environment is proposed, in which both the network performance and network cost are considered. Based on this system, an evaluation and analysis of several typical topologies and routing algorithms for linear network are carried out. And a method of node deployment with a routing algorithm which is suitable for high-speed railway is given in the end.

This article introduces option thinking in supply chain buyback contract and studies on how capital gains influence the supply chain operational decision making and system profits. With the aid of Lagrange's equation, it proves that only when executed price of option falls in some range that the expected profit of the retailer is the united concave function of order quantity and option order quantity and gives the parameter scope of each optimization order quantity and capital rate of return and its constraints. At last, through examples, it demonstrates that when satisfying retailer's constraints, the optimization order quantity considering the situation of capital gains is greater than the order quantity of option buyback contract while capital gains are not considered.
