Based on the fact that the rolling bearing fault vibration signals are susceptible to Gauss noise, a fault diagnosis of rolling bearing method using higher-order cumulants and back propagation (BP) neural network is proposed. In this paper, the higher-order statistics of the vibration signals are calculated as feature vectors, including the third-order cumulant and the fourth-order cumulant as well as the second-order cumulant. And a BP neural network is trained to identify the bearing fault by using those features. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by four types of rolling bearing, namely ball fault, inner raceway fault, outer raceway fault, and normal bearing. The experimental results show cumulants based fault features have perfect separation. Except the training and test diagnostic accuracy of ball fault are high as 98.75 % and 96.67%, classification accuracies of other faults rate are 100%.

The paper is concerned with finite-time stability for positive Markovian jump systems with partly known transition rates. First, by constructing appropriate linear co-positive Lyapunov-Krasovskii function, sufficient conditions for finite-time stability of underlying system are given. Then, in virtue of the results obtained, an effective method is proposed for the construction of the state feedback controller. All the proposed conditions are derived to ensure the closed-loop Markovian jump system positive and finite-time stability in linear programming. Finally, an example is given to demonstrate the validity of the main results.

This paper proposes an efficient algorithm to deal with various scheduling requirements of diverse structure cluster tools. Cluster tools not only have complex flow patterns such as parallel PMs, wafer residency time constraints and dual-arm robot, but also have different structures such as the equipment front-end module which consists of an aligner, a signal-arm robot and two load locks. Different solutions for different requirements may be impractical. To solve this problem, the Petri net models of different configured cluster tool with diverse scheduling requirements is developed first. Then, based on the Petri net models the state search tree is presented, which can efficiently determine the local optimal scheduling sequence. Through experiments, the effectiveness of the branch and bound algorithm proposed in this paper is verified.

This paper studies the problem of disturbance rejection controller design for a class of nonhomogeneous Markov jump systems, in which the nonhomogeneous Markov jump process is described as a polytope set. To compensate the disturbance, a disturbance observer is considered, and based on which the state-feedback control law is designed. Under the designed controller, a sufficient condition is presented to ensure that the resulting closed-loop system is stochastically stable and a prescribed H∞ performance index is satisfied. Finally, a simulation example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed techniques proposed.

In order to overcome the drawbacks of Global Artificial Fish Swarm Algorithm (GAFSA), such as slow convergence, low precision, difficult to give the initial step, a lot of invalid calculation and so on, a modified GAFSA (ADP_CS_GAFSA) is proposed. According to the convergence condition, ADP_CS_GAFSA can adjust the step length and other parameters automatically to improve the performance of the algorithm. The adaptive chaos search is also used to improve the optimization accuracy. The strategy of randomly search in large scale and chaotic search in small scale is also used. When the convergence turned to the optimal value, the convergence rate becomes low, thus some condition is meet, the step of GAFSA will be expanded or shrank, and the process repeats until the step down to the set value. The computing results of some international standard test functions show that the accuracy and the convergence speed of this method is improved indeed.

Rotor and stator rubbing is a common fault of rotating machinery, for instance, aircraft engine, currently, numerous methods are presented to address the issues of Rub-impact fault. For the purpose of effective research for the different diagnosis methods, a experimental system for Rub-Impact fault diagnosis research is achieved in this paper, with the mixed programming of Matlab and VC++ applied. As an illustration, three methods, such as Linear-SVM, RBF-SVM and BP network, are embedded and the respective diagnosis results are analyzed. In addition, a brief introduction of mixed programming with Visual C ++ and MatLAB and the system architecture are given in this paper. The application of software platform gives the results that the system presented is practical and effective in fact.

An improved data-complementing algorithm using fuzzy rough sets is presented in this work. The fuzzy systems with incomplete data and similarity matrices are defined for increasing accuracy of a fuzzy relationship matrix. A complete sampled-data system is formulated by complementing the controller's input and output information. Then, a fuzzy relationship matrix based on a semi-tensor product is established. This method is applied to air-conditioning control systems for an indoor thermal environment. A complete fuzzy-relationship matrix model for the fuzzy controller is built after the experimental data has been complemented. Compared with the model established using the incomplete data, simulation studies show that the fuzzy controller established using complete data can greatly improve the control accuracy of the indoor comfortability.

A nonlinear observer is constructed to observe the two unobservable states of the solar thermal system from the heat exchanger. At first, we discuss the observability of the model and four cases are discussed based on the variation of the model parameters. Then, we design full-order observer when the system is observable. Especially, we design a finite-time observer for one case. At last, a simulation is created for the solar thermal system model. The result is that the unobservable states of the solar thermal system can be estimated fairly closely to the model data by using the nonlinear observer.

In this paper, a linear feedback controller for attitude tracking of a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is applied using linear extended state observer (LESO). The wind disturbance, aerodynamic damping and modeling uncertainties are considered in attitude mathematical model. A Linear extended state observer is designed to estimate the disturbances by treating it as an extended state. Based on the estimation, a feedback linear active disturbance rejection controller is designed to stabilize the attitude of the quadrotor UAV. Theoretical results are confirmed by simulation results.

The article presents a novel targets assignment method for multiple UCAVs. In this work, minimization total attack time is chosen as the objective of the targets assignment problem, and the attack benefit of each target is affected by the target value. To solve this challenging problem, the tailored genetic algorithm (GA) incorporated with the opposition-based learning technique is proposed, denoted as OGA. By introducing the opposition-based learning technique into the evolutionary process, the global search capability is enhanced and the convergence and optimality of the algorithm could be improved. Finally, OGA is compared with ordinary GA on several multi-UCAVs targets assignment simulations. The comparison results show that the proposed method is more efficient and stronger in escaping from the local optimum in solving the multi-UCAVs targets assignment.
