In the contemporary landscape of big data analytics, privacy concerns loom large, exacerbated by escalating surveillance measures. This review delves into the advancements of privacy-enhancing technologies (PETs) amidst this era of heightened scrutiny. The review explores the evolving landscape of PETs, highlighting their pivotal role in safeguarding individual privacy while enabling meaningful data analysis. Firstly, the review elucidates the escalating surveillance environment, characterized by ubiquitous data collection practices and the proliferation of sophisticated monitoring mechanisms. Against this backdrop, the imperative for robust privacy solutions becomes evident. Subsequently, the review navigates through the array of PETs, encompassing differential privacy, homomorphic encryption, secure multi-party computation, and federated learning, among others. Each technology is scrutinized for its efficacy in mitigating privacy risks without compromising analytical utility. Furthermore, the review delineates notable applications of PETs across diverse domains, including healthcare, finance, and social media. Case studies exemplify how PETs facilitate data sharing and collaborative analysis while preserving confidentiality and compliance with regulatory frameworks. Moreover, the review examines the challenges hindering the widespread adoption of PETs, such as computational overhead, interoperability issues, and regulatory ambiguities. Strategies for overcoming these hurdles are elucidated, encompassing advancements in algorithmic efficiency, standardization efforts, and policy advocacy. The review underscores the pivotal role of PETs in reconciling the imperatives of data analytics with the imperatives of privacy protection amidst escalating surveillance. It emphasizes the necessity for interdisciplinary collaboration among researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders to foster the development and deployment of effective PET solutions, thereby ensuring a harmonious balance between data utility and individual privacy rights in the digital age.

The necessity for safety and security-based systems has grown tremendously in our daily lives, and their significance has also increased notably. These systems are now essential for safeguarding people's homes, workplaces, valuable assets like gold stores, and countless other institutions. However, defense against the possibility of catastrophic incidents such as gas leaks, fire outbreaks, or burglary attempts emphasizes the significance of the same. The development of intelligent electronics and smart microcontrollers has led to a notable surge in technological advancements in recent times. This paper outlines the design of a security system used in managing a multi-level home using the versatile Atmega328 microcontroller board. This management system is designed to operate seamlessly accepting both remote and local control. The results achieved from the proposed system commendably display an admirable level of performance reliability, hence making it suffice for integration within Internet of Things (IoT) applications. This system stands out due to its ability to function independently of various points of failure, which makes it more dynamic and able to hold sustained service. The suggested system's affordability makes it a viable application for a cross-operation of upstream, midstream, and downstream settings, enhancing security and strengthening defenses against floods in different forms that could compromise the security architecture. Hence, the research described in this paper not only portrays a solution with strong security and safety aspects, but also establishes doors for its practical implementation across various circumstances.

Construction of the foundation on the marine the soil deposit is susceptible to excessive settlement and the construction of foundation is difficult. Although, the most common practice is to construct the raft foundation in these regions even for the low-rise building, excessive settlement can be observed in several building. So, in the present study, laboratory investigations have been done on the marine soil by modifying it with two different type of biopolymer such as Guar gum and Xanthan gum. The geotechnical properties of the soil modified with 1% and 1.5% biopolymer has been evaluated and the obtained properties has been used for settlement analysis. During the settlement analysis, the foundation soil model has been created as layered soil because the top layer has been replaced by biomodified soil. Several combi-nations have been created by varying the thickness of modified soil layer and the type and percentage of modifying agent. The settlement analysis has been performed in the settle 3D software and the biopolymer modification of soil has been found effective in controlling the foundation settlement.

The titration method can be applied to determine the complexation capacity between metal ions and ligands in natural water samples. The process involves the incremental addition of the metal to the sample containing a specific ligand, resulting in a titration curve that reflects the formation of complexes. The change in the curves slope indicates the saturation of the complexation capacity. In this study, the copper (II) ion was used due to its stability with organic ligands. The titration curve was analyzed to determine the complexation capacity (CC) and conditional formation constant (K) of the complex. Different mathematical treatments are proposed for this analysis. In the described experiment, differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry was used to determine the complexation capacity of humic substances in natural waters. Experimental parameters such as pH, supporting electrolyte concentration, and volume of additions were previously optimized for the voltammetry technique. The obtained data were processed and analyzed, resulting in titration curves and voltammograms. The analysis of the curves allowed for the calculation of the complexation capacity and conditional stability constant of the formed complex. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the method as a didactic experiment for the voltammetric determination of natural water complexation capacity.

The global pandemic that unfolded in recent years has left indelible marks on all aspects of daily life and social interactions. Universally, the prevalent form that dominated the Covid-19 era for the educational process at all levels was the use of teleconferencing and electronic communication tools. Educators of this new era have faced multiple and unexpected changes that have brought about transformations in their roles. For this reason, in Section 2, the multidimensional nature of the educator, as influenced by the pandemic, will be analyzed. Specifically, the second section of the main part will highlight the elements adopted during this period that will continue to shape future educational practices for achieving maximum learning outcomes. In contrast, the third section will address the key challenges faced by educators during the period of changes, as studied in the relevant literature. The fourth section of this work will provide a specific example for discussion, illustrating the difficulties that emerged from the challenges mentioned in the previous section. Finally, useful conclusions will be drawn from the literature review and the analysis of the subject.

Since the last two decades, India has seen a significant increase in infrastructure development, which has resulted in a rapid increase in pavement construction and structural foundation. Pavements and foundations for structures are generally laid on the soft ground during this process which is highly unfavorable for construction. Clayey soil is a difficult soil to work with because it is cohesive, highly unstable, and prone to volumetric shrinkage, has low shear strength, and is susceptible to moisture. The CBR of these subgrade soils is too low, causing the thickness of the pavement laminas to increase. It creates an undesirable requirement for usage of large number of natural resources. A cost-effective solution would be to convert locally available difficult soil into suitable construction material. So, first method is to ameliorate the properties of the available soil so as to meet the requirements, a process known as soil stabilization. The current study's scope is limited to investigating, the techniques of the stabilization process with respect to the CBR values as the CBR is the most important factor in determining the base material quality for the said purpose. This study compares results from different experiments conducted at different researchers. The effect of Zycobond and Terrasil in combination with Alccofine on clayey soil in various ranges was explored in this paper.
