On the basis of mathematical model of convectivediffusion in a three-layered filter it is formulated a contactinitial-boundary value problem for description of mass transferof pollution accompanying the sorption processes. It is proposedthe algorithm for establishing the estimation of values of soughtfunction (concentration of pollution) at the lower boundary of thefilter on the basis of the interpolation of experimental data. It istaken into account that the right end of the interpolation segmentis unknown. It is determined the exact solutions of contact-initialboundaryvalue problems of mass transfer with provision forboth diffusive and convective mechanisms of transfer as well assorption processes, which is based on integral transformationsover space variables in the contacting regions. The dynamical model of heat-mass exchange for a steam humidifier with lumped parameters, which can be used for synthesis of control systems by inflowing-exhaust ventilation installations, or industrial complexes of artificial microclimate, is considered. A mathematical description that represents thedynamical properties of a steam humidifier concerning the main channels of regulation and perturbation is presented. The resulting dynamical model of a humidification chamber can be the basis for the synthesis of automatic control systems and simulation of transients. A significant ad-vantage of the obtainedmathematical model in the state space is the possibility of synthesis and analysis of a multidimensional control system.

Methods have been developed for numerical analysis the vertical oscillations of rigid plate with a liquidimpermeable sole rested on the layer (Biot’s model) with a rigidly restrained lower edge. The plate sole is liquid-impermeable. The analysis of the impedance functions depending on the oscillation frequency, the geometry of the system and the mechanical parameters of the soil model is carried out.

The work demonstrates the results of application of the detailed advanced exergetic analysis to air-source, watersource and wastewater-source heat pumps providing space heating in the built environment. Cumulative values based on seasonal exergy destruction are used for deriving conclusions. It is shown that in the specified conditions of the investigated systems priorities for improving should be given to heat exchangers.
