In this paper we study a mathematical model of soil moisture transport with variable porosity. The problem is set for the case of highly concentrated solute spilled onto soil surface. We investigate the way solute transfer, adsorption of contaminant by soil particles and variable porosity influence infiltration of solute into the soil profile. For that purpose, two models are used: a classical one and the one with consideration of mentioned factors. By comparing the results of both models, we established that high concentration of solute causes moisture transport to transpire more slowly, and the pollutant to remain on the soil surface for longer time. Numerical results indicate that porosity can vary considerably under the conditions of intensive contamination with salts.

A mathematical model of the electrocoagulation process has been constructed, taking into account the geometric dimensions of the reactor, the volumetric flow rate of the liquid and the applied current. A simulation model has been developed that describes the processes occurring in a coagulator, on the basis of which was studied the influence of current, changes in the concentration of inlet contamination on the concentration of the target component at the outlet of the reactor.

Triangular norms and associative functions arebase of connectives in fuzzy logic and fuzzy systems. Newconnective operator that can generate different classes of fuzzyconnectives is proposed. It is proved that this operator satisfiesthe requirements of such axioms as commutativity, associativity, monotonicity and boundary conditions. It is parameterized andtherefore new triangular norms are obtained. Constructedparameterized triangular norms are of a strict and Archimediantype.

In this work certain generalizations of the classical derivative of a differentiable function are introduced. The method of time series extrapolation is proposed on the basis of corresponding generalizations. In the basis of this method is the analysis of separated differences. It is proposed procedure of the corresponding differences modification and finding of such order, for which it is possible to find in the certain sense the best forecast value. Then the value of the output function at a point that lies outside the interpolation interval is based on the found predictive value for the separated differences using a special computational procedure.

The main objective of this paper is to review of fault detection and isolation (FDI) methods and applications on various power plants. Due to the focus of the topic, on model and model-free FDI methods, technical details were kept in the references. We will overview the methods in terms of model-based, data driven and signal based methods further in the paper. Principles of three FDI methods are explained and characteristics of number of some popular techniques are described. It also summarizes data-driven methods and applications related to power generation plants. Parts of control system applications of FDI in TPPs with possible faults are shown in the Table I. Some popular techniques for the various faults in TPPs are discussed also.

We study an iterative differential-difference three-step method for solving system of nonlinear equations, which uses, instead of the Jacobian, the sum of derivate of differentiable parts of operator and divided difference of nondifferentiable parts. The numerical examples illustrate how the methods works.
