This paper presents the applicability of neural networks and graph structuring methods in the field of computer networks administration. As data transmission infrastructures have become large technology interconnected domains, the utilizations and performances of these networks, are having various influential factors that act on their overall well functioning and impose a constant tuning of the communication medium. The paper proposes a method of using the prediction capabilities of neural networks and graph structures, to shape the delays in routing for finding optimal paths in networks.

This paper describes the current state-of-the-art in Cognitive Architectures, which could assist in the development of the agent-based robotic systems, and gives a proposition for a possibly new model. Agent-based cognitive systems would be the key-factor of the future autonomous mobile robots.

The paper presents the systematic exploration in the Theorema system of the theory of sets represented as sorted lists without duplications. This theory was build-up in parallel with the process of algorithm synthesis in the Theorema system. Sets are represented as ascending ordered lists without duplication, called monotone lists. The elements of the sets are assumed to be from an ordered domain. The representation is realized by two bijective functions R (from sets to lists) and S (from lists to sets) which are inverse to each other. This approach leads to more efficient algorithms then the ones for operating on sets represented as non-sorted lists.

Choquet and Sugeno integrals have wide applications in several practical areas, especially as aggregation functions in decision theory. Universal integral is a generalization of Choquet and Sugeno integrals. The Jensen type inequality related to the smallest universal integral which special cases are Sugeno, Shilkret, seminormed fuzzy integrals and pseudo-integral has been recently proposed. Based on this result, we have obtained the Jensen's inequality for the pseudo-integral and sufficient conditions under which that inequality holds.

Autocorrelation is a widely used statistical tool for determining periodicity and the fundamental period of a time-series. Calculating the autocorrelation function Rxx(k), we cross-correlate the signal with itself in order to detect non-randomness or to find repeating patterns. A continuous output, autocorrelation algorithm is proposed here which is able to detect periodicity in motor behaviour of free-roaming animals. The data stream is coming from a 3-axis accelerometer mounted on a collar.

Integration of engineering activities from first idea to recycling of product yielded product lifecycle management (PLM) systems. Classical PLM system relies upon highly integrated physical level model of product. This integration does not support multidisciplinary product engineering because capability of classical PLM modeling can not provide the demanded unified modeling mechanism for different engineering areas. The main cause of this situation is lack of method for system level modeling of product in PLM system. In order to solve this problem, the requirements (R) functional (F), logical (L) and physical (P) structure based product definition was included in leading PLM systems during the recent years. However, conventional human dialogue is not well appropriate for processing the huge amount of information at the very complex RFLP structure element definition. New procedures are demanded for contextual element generation. Fortunately, RFLP based PLM systems offer open architecture functionality to accommodate this extension. This paper is about the main information flow aspect of the new coordinated request based product modeling (CRPM) method to automate the knowledge and decision intensive RFLP element definition. The CRPM method applies modified variant of a previous multilevel abstraction method. This abstraction and the new RFLP element definition methodologies were developed at the Laboratory of Intelligent Engineering Systems (LIES), Óbuda University.

The paper elaborates the complexity and importance of modeling Internet traffic. In this sense, having in mind the nature of Internet traffic as well as actual information in this sphere, it was emphasized that there is no universally applicable model. This standpoint has initiated the idea of examining the possibility of approximation internet traffic. Because of the rather suitable property, namely that is not necessary to provide stationarity of the input signal, traffic analysis in this paper was performed in wavelet domain, using different types of wavelets, with the aim of determining the convenience of certain wavelets for the analysis of Internet traffic. It was concluded that all examined wavelets have generated approximately similar statistical results, which depend on the selected level of approximation and analyzed traffic curve. For different curves at the same level of approximation, statistical values have been obtained that do not differ significantly from the statistics of the corresponding original signals. It was also found that the discrete approximation of the symlet wavelet sym(2) provided the largest number of statistically accurate results, and in this regard proved to be the most suitable for the analysis of Internet traffic.

In order to understand judicial complaints more clearly (to avoid misinterpretations and to provide additional clarification of its content), structural and semantic markup can be rather helpful. By structural and semantic markup, claims can be semantically enhanced using legal ontologies and legal knowledge interchange format argument graphs making them more understandable for machines, but also for humans. This paper proposes Akoma Ntoso XML schema, LKIF-Core, Legal Case Ontology, JudO and Carneades Argument Format for such structural and semantic annotation of the complaints and illustrates the usability of the proposed solution through the Case Study of the Serbian Judiciary.

In patient monitoring systems the user-specific evaluation is essential to obtaining realistic result. This criterion poses a difficult task for the experts, because the large number of input factors and the complex interactions between them is hard to manage. In this paper some possibilities are presented, which can effectively be used to handle this task by different threshold definitions. The basic system is a fuzzy logic-based risk assessment framework which can handle the subjectivity, imprecision and uncertainty, which are often arising in the data and in the evaluation process in the cases of medical applications. The patient-specific assessment is ensured by a personal profile, which is stored in a well-structured database including the threshold values belonging to each monitored parameter.
