A cyber-physical system is a collection of distributed physical and computational entities, that collaborate together to reach a higher goal. The paper presents how the communication aspects of the Pεα workflow language for programming cyber-physical systems can be decentralized with the communication patterns provided by Iris, a distributed cloud messaging system.

In this paper, the definitions of central g-moments of the order n, n ϵN for random variables and g-expectation for a random variable are given. With the suitable choice of the generator g, and choosing different values for n, it is possible to calculate central g-moments of the order n even for a random variable f for which neither expectation nor higher moments do not exist.

This talk discusses a new neural-fuzzy network architecture in which a traditional neuro-fuzzy system is transformed into an equivalent fully connected three layer neural network, namely, the Fully Connected Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Systems (F-CONFIS). The F-CONFIS differs from traditional neural networks by its dependent and repeated weights between input layer and hidden layer and can be considered as the variation of a kind of multilayer neural network. Therefore, an efficient learning algorithm for F-CONFIS to cope these repeated weights is derived. Furthermore, a dynamic learning rate is proposed for neuro-fuzzy systems via F-CONFIS where both premise (hidden) and consequent portions should be considered. Several simulation results indicate that the proposed approach achieves much better accuracy and fast convergence. In addition the bounded capacity for the learning for a fuzzy neural network via the proposed F-CONFIS and its applications will be discussed.

Nowadays the vast amount of text-based information stored in organizations requires different approaches and new tools in order to manage it adequately. This paper presents Hypatia, a support expert system for documentation departments and regular users that exploits not only local information, but also external resources from the Web (e.g., Linked Data). The expert system uses different modules: Natural Language Processing (NLP) analysis, categorization, semantic disambiguation, Automatic Query Expansion (AQE), semantic search, summarization, knowledge extraction, and aggregation. Users can interact with the expert system in different ways, varying from giving very specific orders to writing a simple list of keywords. The latter method requires a previous interpretation before deciding the response of the system. The obtained results will benefit from semantic links referencing complementary data to improve both the information presentation and the data navigation.

The primary scope of the paper lies on the identification of an aircraft's nonlinear dynamic model. It is assumed that the aircraft has no inbuilt navigational system, nor any sensors mounted on its control surfaces. The flight of the airplane is influenced by the control column and pedals manipulated by the pilot whose positions can only visually be observed. This situation can often occur in the first phase of control system development of airplanes. Hence, for the time of data logging, an external sensory system (GPS, IMU) and a camera system were deployed on the airplane supporting the collection of flight data for state estimation and model identification. An earlier paper discussed the computation of the actuator signals thus the paper deals mainly with the state estimation and model identification. State estimation is based on two-level Extended Kalman Filters with additional correction in an external loop. System identification is based on the dynamical equations of rigid body with additional weighted nonlinear terms for 3D forces and torques. Wind effects are taken into consideration. From the inertial parameters only the mass is known. Dominating nonlinear functions in the force and torque model are selected by using hypotheses tests. The results are presented for a real sailplane using flight data.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and related technologies have the important impact nowadays. These technologies have variety of applications, and they are key enabling technologies of IoT (Internet of Things). ZigBee standard is the most common WSN technology. Its importance and expansion, as a widely used technology in many different areas, influence the importance of including ZigBee technology in courses at university. This paper presents the software application and related hardware platform designed to be used by the students to measure and analyze the performances of ZigBee network in design and pre-implementation process. The presented application can be used during the classes of Communication Systems and Computer Network Courses for ZigBee traffic and packet analyses. In addition, this application can be used for researching in the field of wireless sensor networks, ZigBee and other similar popular technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy, IEEE 802.15.4, etc. The supporting platform for this application and experiment for its evaluation are also presented in this paper.

This paper deals with the problem of non synchronicity during the on-line realization of humanoid walk synthesized by combining and tying motion primitives. Motion primitives are simple and parameterized movements. For realization of the on-line modifiable walk, relationship is established between the gait characteristics and the pa-rameters of the primitives. The parameters of the primitives for basic walk were determined empirically, so the problem appeared of non synchronization of the primitives that are executed in parallel. In order to reduce the non synchronicity effects, the algorithm for adaptation of the primitive parameters is introduced. The improved parameters of the primitives allowed the realization of a more efficient walk.

The presented OptInv software system provides support for inventory and sales optimization. Generally, small and medium enterprises cannot afford expensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with effective supply management modules. Supplies are often managed based only on former experience. Inconvenient situations can occur when an order cannot be accomplished because the needed product is missing, or when the money invested in some products becomes a waste. Using the right methods and tools, these problems can be eliminated. The aim of the OptInv project is to provide a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution for this kind of problems. OptInv imports data from accounting software systems and provides statistics about products, providers and sales. Products can be categorized, the value of the stock can be estimated, the consumption can be predicted and in this way the inventory can be optimized.

The aim of this paper is to show a potential applicability of some well-known fuzzy integrals, i.e., of the Choquet integral and the Sugeno integral, in Minimal and Maximal Covering location problems, i.e., in MinCLP and MCLP. Possible benefits of the use of Choquet and Sugeno integrals lie in the flexibility of a monotone set function which is the core of the observed integrals and which is being used for modelling Decision Maker's behavior. Mathematical models of Minimal and Maximal Covering location problems are given. Approach based on fuzzy integrals versus the standard two types of operators is discussed. Ideas for the future work and applications are presented.

The development of information flow has a major impact on communication, new multimedia technology has develop with incredible speed. For example the Internet has doubled the number of users and services every year since 1988. This is possible due to the fact that it has become less expensive to use and easily accessible. With the help of information and communication technology higher education institutes are able to fulfill the requirements which will help the students prepare for the pressures of society and labor market. Therefore many educational institutes offer diverse teaching and learning methods for the benefit of their future students.
