The paper is aiming to bring forward one of the newest technologies which has brought major contributions on the sharing, the usage of resources jointly, also on data storage through high-speed connections between computers, and as well on creating virtual organizations for communication and global collaboration. The paper is suggesting the presentation and analysis of GRID technology impact on the educational system and the possibility of creating an additional option to the classical process of training the students. In this paper will be revealed the bond between the process of specialties standardization of studying programs in Systems Engineering and the possibility of using the industrial or laboratory equipments, regardless of the physical location, opening new opportunities for science and education.

A comparison between several NoSQL databases with comments and notes 几个带有注释和注释的NoSQL数据库之间的比较

This paper is trying to comment on the various NoSQL (Not only Structured Query Language) systems and to make a comparison (using multiple criteria) between them. The NoSQL databases were created as a mean to offer high performance (both in terms of speed and size) and high availability at the price of loosing the ACID (Atomic, Consistent, Isolated, Durable) trait of the traditional databases in exchange with keeping a weaker BASE (Basic Availability, Soft state, Eventual consistency) feature. Remains to be seen which of the multiple solutions created since the official appearance of the NoSQL concept (which was defined in 1998 and reintroduced in 2009, around which moment several NoSQL solutions emerged; at the present moment there are known over 120 such solutions) are really delivering on these promises of higher performance (although several of them are already used with very good results).

IP pooling-based email systems reputation assurance 基于IP池的电子邮件系统声誉保证

The endeavour to ensure email servers attain and keep a good reputation on the internet is essential for today's system administrators and companies. This is due to the fact that approximately 90% of nowadays email traffic is represented by purely spam and unsolicited messages. Therefore, email filtering techniques have continuously developed during the past decade. In this context, it can be stated that the reputation of the IP address that routes the server's email traffic is essential and constitutes an important variable of any algorithm that quantifies email systems reputation. This remark can be coupled with the fact that IP addresses that are once detected to send spam or that simply do not comply with good sending practices are marked as “untrusted” by email reputation assessment systems on the Internet. Once this has happened, reverting back to a normal state often proves to be a difficult, even impossible challenge. It should also be kept in mind that the IP version 4 address space is virtually depleted and the transition to IP version 6 is still in its early stages. Therefore, it is crucial for any system administration team to use an integrated IP reputation assurance method. This paper introduces the main concepts that are connected to IP reputation and its assurance. Moreover, an integrated email systems reputation assurance method, which is based on IP pooling, is described and its performance and usability are assessed and demonstrated considering a practical setting.

The Computer technology play a significant role in education for children with disabilities. For every child who has special needs, computers create a bridge over the educational gaps that teachers left behind, that way the children have become much more independent. Children with disabilities may use their skills in many activities to resolve problems from real-world, to help them computers have applications, such as word processing and word prediction software, communication and networking technologies, CD-ROM reference materials, hypertext and multimedia.

Performance evaluation of a situation aware multipath routing solution 态势感知多路径路由解决方案的性能评估

The dynamics of modern communication networks, especially regarding the user's behavior, determine the necessity of an effective routing protocol that can ensure high performance. In this paper we present the implementation and performance evaluation of a new dynamic multipath routing solution, called Situation Aware Multipath (SAMP), using the OPNET Modeler. The main features of our solution are load balancing and congestion avoidance. To increase the scalability, the network is divided into multipath routing domains. We defined two types of routers: AR (Adaptive Router) and AMR (Adaptive Multipath Router), with different capabilities depending on their location inside the domain. SAMP offers network robustness and reliability by taking advantage of the path diversity. The performance of the proposed solution is evaluated and compared, in terms of throughput and network resource utilization, with three standard routing protocols: OSPF, ECMP and EIGRP. The simulation results demonstrate that the new proposed multipath routing algorithm can assure increased network resource utilization and also a high transmission quality, even in case of congestion.

Nowadays the use of Internet protocol (IP) has transformed the delivery of content and services over networks. The perspective of low costs communications determined a very fast development of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies. Along with voice, VoIP communications channels can transport video streams also. This type of VoIP communications, also known as videoconferencing, demands a very high level of quality of services (QoS) assurance for network resources. The present paper is evaluating the effect of network impairments, like delay and jitter, from a network emulation environment [1], over the VoIP communications, focusing on the IP video calls or videoconferencing communication.

Distributed real-equipment testing for the mobile communications services 移动通信业务的分布式实设备测试

The test activities performed during the life cycle of the telecommunication service development ensure the service quality and stability so necessary to achieve the maximum availability and reliability. The paper presents authors' contribution to remote and distributed testing for mobile communications services based on cloud computing assets and paradigms. The access solutions to the test methods were implemented for the GSM and GSM-R (Global System for Mobile - Railways) related Intelligent Networks services. The scalability and flexibility of the architecture allows to the proposed solution to be used, for both the production and the educational environments, to access the resources located on the different sites for the tests purpose. The concept of the remote test solution and the practical examples based on the remote tests with real equipments are presented in this paper.

This paper is aiming to highlight the way in which GNU General Public License (GNU/GPL) is influencing the studying programs in the field of Systems Engineering, Automatics and Applied Informatics specialization, in the way that it is offering to the users the freedom of developing different packages and informatics applications, necessary to accumulate new knowledge for the students. The objective of this paper is to present the opportunities offered by the GNU General Public License, which will allow the implementation in the classical process of training, of a studying platform with a great impact on the way of thinking and quick understanding by the users.

SCONeP: Steganography and Cryptography approach for UDP and ICMP UDP和ICMP的隐写和加密方法

Network steganography describes all the methods used for transmitting data over a network without it being detected. Several methods for hiding data in a network have been proposed, but the main drawback of most of them is that they do not offer a secondary layer of protection. If steganography is detected, the data is in plain text. This article proposes an implementation called SCONeP (Steganography and Cryptography over Network Protocols) that offers the protection of hidden data by encrypting it. Furthermore, it describes two less utilized protocols for data hiding, ICMP and UDP, and presents the performance of two scenarios that use SCONeP, in comparison to other steganography tools. Finally, a proof-of-concept active warden used for preventing network steganography is described.

Optimized GPU based simulation of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations on a MAC grid MAC网格上不可压缩Navier-Stokes方程的优化GPU仿真

The paper introduces an optimized GPU based implementation of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations which are solved using the artificial compressibility method. The numerical scheme is based on a finite difference method. The domain on which the simulations have been performed is a backward facing step problem and the discretizations have been carried out on a MAC grid. The most time consuming parts, i.e. the computations of the velocities and of the pressure values, have been moved onto the GPU. Two separate kernels have been defined because there is no communication between the blocks of the GPU grid. Several optimization strategies have incrementally increased the performance of the two kernels. The most important ones are: coalesced global memory, reduced read and copy operations and optimum usage of shared memory. The results of the comparison between the CPU and GPU performance indicate a speed-up which varies from just under one order of magnitude for the coarsest grid up to two orders of magnitude for the finest grid.
