A decoupled dynamical model for differentially driven mobile robots 差分驱动移动机器人的解耦动力学模型

This paper examines the dynamical model of a differentially driven mobile robot. Derivations of the model from the Lagrangian mechanics formulation and the Newton-Euler formulation are presented. The dynamics of this particular model are decoupled from the kinematic differential equations which provides the freedom to choose a preferred kinematic representation of the position and orientation of the robot. The standard Cartesian position and Euler-angle pose are chosen in this work in order to compare the resulting model to two other models which exists in the literature. The model presented does not have the differential algebraic nature that is common to other models and is numerically well-behaved.

An implementation of secured Smart Grid Ethernet communications using AES 使用AES的安全智能电网以太网通信的实现

Smart Grid (SG) is a brand new architecture for the next generation's power grid system. Delivering control, monitoring and management data to grid elements securely in the network is a basic requirement for SG. This paper proposes 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) as a security solution for SG network terminals. A pair of prototyping nodes is also implemented via Altera's DE2 boards' Nios II architecture. The two-node system works properly with AES encryption/decryption functions. It suggests a potential solution for SG security.

The work reported here integrates three paradigms for collaboration and dissemination of information: multiagent systems, Web services, and distributed event-based systems (in the form of JMS). The information in the current context is military command and control information represented in XML documents. The integration uses gateways provided as add-ons to the agent framework that was used and has proved to be surprisingly natural and easy to enhance, with the agents dominating the overall control flow.

Prediction of channel state for cognitive radio using higher-order hidden Markov model 基于高阶隐马尔可夫模型的认知无线电信道状态预测

Spectrum sensing detects the availability of the radio frequency spectrum, which is essential and vital to cognitive radio. Traditional techniques for spectrum sensing fail to take the latency between spectrum sensing and data transmission into consideration. However, such latency does exist in hardware implementation. Prediction can be utilized to diminish the negative effect of such latency. In this paper, this latency is illustrated, and an approach for prediction of channel state using higher-order hidden Markov model (HMM) is proposed. The predicted channel states are output together with corresponding likelihood probabilities that are helpful to subsequent decision making. Wi-Fi signals have been recorded using a latest advanced ultra-performance digital phosphor oscilloscope (DPO), which are employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach. Experimental results show that the proposed approach for prediction of channel state is effective. The proposed approach for prediction of channel state can be used together with traditional spectrum sensing techniques for spectrum sensing with the latency taken into consideration. And it can also be utilized to provide predictive information to upper-level modules of cognitive radio.

Resampling considerations for registering remotely sensed images 遥感图像配准的重采样考虑因素

Satellite imagery data typically requires the use of interpolation techniques during the orthorectification and registration stages of processing. Given that satellite imagery is typically undersampled, interpolation cannot perfectly recover the original signal and therefore consideration must be given to the concept of the optimal interpolation technique for a given application. We address these issues and suggest a metric to define interpolation quality. We also propose a new interpolation scheme which performs well for certain classes of image features, most importantly sub-pixel image features and features of low pixel count.

Classification of endoscopie images using support vector machines 内窥镜图像的支持向量机分类

This paper presents an application of support vector machines (SVMs) to mu I ti class problem in endoscopie image classification. Many studies have reported that SVMs have met with success in the texture classification problem. As an endoscopie image poses rich information expressed by texture features, we therefore investigate the potential of SVMs in this task. Strategy for multiclass problem based on an ensemble of binary classifiers is also implemented since the traditional SVMs algorithm deals with single label classification problems. The proposed scheme demonstrated an excellent classification result for multiclass problem in endoscopie image classification. We also show how a distortion correction helps further improve the results.

Metamodeling of RFIC integrated inductors using ASITIC simulation data 基于astic仿真数据的RFIC集成电感元建模

In this paper, we describe a new method to generate lumped-parameter equivalent-circuit (EC) approximations for on-chip inductors. Nonlinear least-squares fitting is then applied to numerical data obtained from a very large number of single-time ASITIC runs for a given process. Results show significant improvement as compared to the published models. The proposed method should enable the optimization of inductor geometry.

Introducing fault-based combinatorial testing to web services 向web服务引入基于故障的组合测试

Combinatorial testing is considered effective for finding software faults. It is also efficient, since it keeps the number of tests relatively small. However, there seems to be very little research that considers combinatorial testing as a testing approach for web services. They are commonly tested by injecting fault-causing data perturbations into the network. It may be worthwhile to see if combinatorial testing can complement existing perturbations with the benefits of combinatorial testing. The approach proposed in this paper is called combinatorial fault-based testing. This type of testing combines existing fault-based testing techniques, such as fault injection, with combinatorial testing to attempt to find faults of varying strength within a web service. Combinatorial fault-based testing uses fault injection and helps reduce the problem with combinatorial explosion by focusing solely on fault-based combinations. This raises the following research question: Is there a way to take advantage of the benefits of combinatorial testing for web services assuming that source code will not be available, while minimizing the possibility of a combinatorial explosion? Combinatorial fault-based testing looks very promising for answering this question. As a side effect, it could potentially offer a way to determine the maximum strength of interactions to test for web services.

Advanced mouse pointer control using trajectory-based gesture recognition 先进的鼠标指针控制使用基于轨迹的手势识别

In this paper, a method to control the movement of a mouse pointer using simple hand gestures and a webcam is proposed. A real-time tracking algorithm is implemented based on adaptive skin detection and motion analysis. Using the history of motion, the trajectory of the movement of the hand is drawn and then used to identify a gesture. A region of interest algorithm is proposed, in order to scale the motion when the user is located far away from the point of capture. The motion of the mouse pointer is scaled accordingly. Demonstrations using our prototype clearly illustrate the benefits of our system.

Using the history of motion, the trajectory of the movement of the hand is drawn and then used to identify a gesture. A region of interest algorithm is proposed, in order to scale the motion when the user is located far away from the point of capture. The motion of the mouse pointer is scaled accordingly. Si/Ge nanodot superlattices for Si-based photovoltaics 硅基光伏用硅/锗纳米点超晶格

We have grown Si/Ge nanodot superlattices via low-pressure chemical vapor deposition in order to analyze their performance as thin-film solar cells. Self-assembled Ge nanodots are included in the base region in order to boost absorption of near-infrared photons and to increase short-circuit current density, Jsc. At a relatively low dot density of 5.5×l09 cm−2, both 20- and 40-period cells exhibited a fill factor of 70% and open-circuit voltage (Voc) of 0.51V, closely matching previously reported devices grown by molecular beam epitaxy. The 20- and 40-period cells had similar spectral responsivity for λ=400–550 nm, but the thicker base of the 40-period cell enabled it to attain higher responsivity for wavelengths in the range of 550–900 nm. When we increased the dot density by 55% while holding the number of periods at 40, Voc dropped significantly due to a combination of lower bandgap and higher dislocation density. Work is in progress to integrate such SiGe-nano-materials based PV devices with ultra-thin Si PV, to obtain higher efficiencies as well as minimize the use of Si.
