: The invention and widely use of organ allotransplantation provides effective treatment of some originally fetal diseases such as liver/kidney failure and has saved million of lives around the globe. However, the scarcity of human organs has caused many patients, who could have been treated, to die while waiting for suitable organs around the world. Pig-to hu- man xenotransplantation provides a potential solution to solve this tough problem. Pig organs have been considered as major sources of xenotransplantation because of the sufficient number of donors, the sizes of organs, and physiologically structural similarities. However, xenotransplantation also has some problems, such as the possibility of spreading animal diseases to human, the interspecies immunological barrier, organs of animal origin challenging human nature, and potential informed consent issues. This article will discuss these potential issues and to see whether it is the suitable time to conduct clinical xenotransplantation trials in humans.

: This work analyzes the development of the intercultural perspective in the protection and guarantee of the right to health in indigenous peoples and migrant population in Chile from the legal point of view. It reviews the prevalent practices and experiences in the field of public health in Chile, to establish the shape and scope of interculturality in the protection of the right to health, and the way in which it contributes to interculturality. The intercultural perspective on access to justice in Chile is weak, formal, these are incipient initiatives in the case of indigenous peoples while in the case of migrants, they hardly address language barriers

in of lost ethics existence the Abstract : 1. Marcel Proust´s In Search of Lost Time recounts the fiction of the “author’s” project-of-existence to become an artist. 2. The world of medicine is the area in which the fragility of man is expressed as being-referred-to-death. 3. The deceptive feeling of the power of good health intoxicates medicine, physicians, patients, relatives, treatments — irreverent depreciation toward the perishable. 4. The medical treatment of the agony of the “author’s” grandmother shows the central elements of the doctor-patient relationship in medicine at the beginning of the 20th century: cognitive, affective, operational, ethical, and social. 5. The “author” of the novel is not Marcel Proust and, although it is a fiction, it encourages today´s medical world to reflect on its fundamental bioethical foundations.

Palabras clave: bioética, odontología, principios bioéticos, conocimiento, Abstract : Bioethics has been formally added, since 2008, to the curricula of dentistry courses in Ecuador. Documents have also been created that govern the ethical actions of the dentist in the face of different dilemmas that may arise during their clinical activity. This research seeks to describe the level of knowledge and application of bioethical principles in oral health professionals. A quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional research method was used, by means of a structured survey, applied to postgraduate students in the dental area. The data were processed and analyzed in a descriptive and correlational manner. The results obtained highlighted the presence of five levels of knowledge of bioethical principles. Among these, in the groups with the highest percentage of knowledge about bioethical principles, the application of the principle of non-maleficence in their clinical practice was highlighted. Lack of knowledge about the theory was revealed: many are unaware of the basic bioethical principles of the correct action of the oral health professional. However, a growing change has been demonstrated with regard to the application of these principles.
This research叙述seeks to the level of knowledge and application of口头bioethical原则in health professionals。

Abstrac t: The article reports the results of a study conducted to examine midwifery and nursing students’ perceptions of body intimacy and the factors affecting their perceptions. This was a cross-sectional study, with 389 midwifery and nursing students at a public university volunteering to participate in the study. Data were collected using a “Personal Information Form”, the “Body Confidentiality Scale for Obstetrics and Gynecology” and the “Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale”. The participants had a mean age of 20.89 ± 1.86 years. The mean score they gave to the question whether they paid attention to privacy was 8.21 ±1.88. The mean Rosenberg self-esteem score was 29.44 ± 4.83 (minimum = 10, maximum = 40). The mean overall privacy score was 36.10 ± 6.84 (min = 9, max = 45), rights and privacy was 20.80 ± 3.71 (min = 5, max = 25), ethics and privacy was 20.45 ± 3.67 (min = 5, max = 25), and clinical privacy was 75.22 ± 12.33 (min = 18, max = 90). According to the results, obstetrics and nursing students, who would later intervene in women’s health, had higher than average self-esteem and perception of privacy. Nevertheless, the establishment of the concept of “privacy” is an issue that should be addressed and reinforced in the training of obstetrics and nursing students who will provide services in such a sensitive field as gynecology and obstetrics.
