This article provides a historico-pedagogical and historico-cultural commentary on the tragedy “Agamemnon“, which modern academics consider to be an example of Seneca’s innovative dramaturgy. In the tragedy, Seneca presents the original version of the famous myth about the murder of king Agamemnon, who had just returned victorious from the Trojan war. Seneca takes Aeschylus’s version of the same name as the basis for his own tragedy and presents the crime against Agamemnon as a deserved punishment and as a warning to those around him.

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the philosophical traditions of Nasimi poetry and the founder of existentialism S. Kierkegaard. As the object of comparison, the poetic texts of Imadaddin Nasimi and the book of the Danish philosopher Kierkegaard “Fear and Awe” are taken. For the first time in philosophical comparative studies, an attempt is made to find a common and difference in the concepts and categories of Hurufism and existentialism.

The author makes an attempt to investigate functioning of the largest metallurgical plant in Bulgaria – “Kremikovtzi” MC – through the prism of Misesian and Hayekian arguments concerning the economic organization of the socialist society. The main conclusion is that the arguments with a high degree of abstraction – especially those of Mises - remain invisible at the level of a particular enterprise. The views of Hayek, however, those of the classical political economists, and of Simeon Demostenov find their confirmation in the everyday life of the metallurgical combine even before its official opening in 1963 and until the last day of the Bulgarian socialist regime in 1989. To some extend “Kremikovtzi” is representative for the economic reality in Bulgaria during the era of socialism and is indicative of the results and shortcomings of the state-implemented industrialization of the country. Bulgaria became an industrialized country, but it is not sure whether the industrialization was successful.

This publication presents information on the relations between Russia, the Orthodox East and Bulgarian lands in the 15th and 17th centuries. During the period under study, Russia was the only independent Orthodox state that gradually grew into an empire and naturally claimed the Byzantine heritage. The Russian rulers manifested themselves as major contributors to the Eastern churches within the Ottoman Empire. In this context, a number of high-ranking representatives of the Orthodox East have appealed for alms (assistance) to the Russian authorities. Some of these priestswere also acting as political agents and informants of the Moscow authorities.

General Ivan Kolev was born in Bessarabia. He graduated from the elite school (middle school) for Bulgarian Minority in Bolhrad. Subsequently he settled down in Bulgaria where he made a brilliant career. In 1916, Ivan Kolev defeated all foreign troops (Romanian, Russian, Serbian) in Dobruja. He was the creator of the Bulgarian cavalry. In the interwar period, Ivan Kolev was widely known and valued. During the communist period, however, he was completely forgotten. It was only after the fall of the totalitarian regime that the figure of General Ivan Kolev was restored to history, both in Bulgaria and in Ukraine, where he was born.
