Democracy in America is the first book to conduct a comprehensive investigation and study of the United States, the author of Tocqueville from the perspective of the French survey and exposition of American democracy, is an important material for the later study of American democracy. This paper analyzes the meaning of "democracy" of The Times, the causes of the emergence of American democracy, the existing problems and the final reflection, and provides some experience and ideas for future research.

With the unceasing liberation of people’s ideology, the promotion of women’s rights has been raised to unprecedented importance in today’s society. Therefore, more and more theologists have started to re-examine the conventional Catholic doctrines through a critical lens, especially under the framework of moral philosophy. The author aims to explore two main conceptions deep-rooted in Catholic traditions or sacred books that are considered to convey gender inequality, for one decrees the inferior of the gender female to the gender male while the other emphasizes women’s obedience to men’s instructions. In addition, the author analyzes the origin of such conceptions, the dualistic theory, and how renowned Catholic feminists such as Margret Farley and Lisa Cahill managed to develop new comprehension towards Catholicism based on Catholic feminist ethics. While the modern spiritual movements are predominantly derived from Western experience, the application of theological innovations in the East-Asia region still depends on different, complex religious realities. In this article, the author takes China as an example and investigates how secularization may encourage the practice of Catholic feminist reformations in China.

The construction measures of steel structure joints have an important impact on the overall steel structure, the safety of the joint itself and the seismic performance of the structure. In the teaching of the node chapter of Advanced Steel Structure Course for undergraduates majoring in civil engineering, the focus is on teaching the calculation and design method of nodes, and only introductory explanations are given for the construction measures of nodes, and the students' learning effect is not satisfactory. This paper analyzed the current situation of teaching in the chapter of steel structure joints. Based on three engineering accident cases caused by improper joint construction measures, a case teaching idea was proposed. On this basis, the critical issues of teaching in this chapter and the application of cases were investigated. This paper aims to provide some reference opinions for the teaching reform of engineering-related courses, and to provide reference for the construction of practical teaching based on improving students' learning interest and autonomous learning ability.

With the continuous development of China's construction industry, China's demand for architectural professionals is increasing, which also promotes the great development of architectural education. In the practical teaching of architecture major in local universities, there are still some problems: classroom theory cannot be combined with practical courses, teaching mode is too single, teaching lacks flexibility and characteristics, teaching content lags behind, students have few opportunities to practice learning in society and enterprises, and their participation is not high. Through the reform and practice of practical teaching system, the characteristic architecture education of independent colleges is developed to improve the practical and hands-on design ability of architecture students.

Teacher collaboration is of great significance to improve the professional ability and development of teachers. This study shows that the traditional path of teachers' professional development has gradually lagged behind the pace of the development of the times, and the new path of teachers' professional development with teachers' collaboration as the core is attracting much attention. This study examines and reflects on the hot topics in the concept and practice of teacher collaboration from the aspects of the theoretical implication, manifestation and implementation dilemma of teacher collaboration. In fact, under the development concept of teacher collaboration, there are many implementation difficulties. Providing time guarantee for teacher collaboration, guiding teachers to correctly understand teacher collaboration and balancing the limits of teacher autonomy and collaboration are very important to promote teacher collaboration.

Chemistry of Chinese Materia Medica (CCMM) is a discipline that uses the basics of chemistry and other related disciplines to study the effective substances of traditional Chinese medicine. With the advancement of the modernization of traditional Chinese medicine, the scientific research platform of CCMM have been significantly improved. Thus, the progress of the traditional Chinese medicine industry, especially the rise of the health industry has been promoted. With the help of resources such as MOOCs and micro-classes, the teaching method of CCMM is realized by flipped classrooms, which truly breaks the boundaries between in and out of class, online and offline, making “The study of CCMM” everywhere. This teaching mode can effectively enhance students’ interest, increase effective learning time, and greatly improve teaching efficiency and effects.

Language barriers to teaching and learning in South Africa persist. The current study analyses the extent to which stakeholders have been involved in policy planning of language in South African Education system to develop a conceptual model of stakeholder mobilisation for language policy planning in education. This is in the light of literature, indicating inadequate stakeholder consultation in the planning of language policy for teaching and learning in both the basic and higher education sectors. Sources consulted in this problematic subject include language policy documents, databases, newspapers and journals to find the latest developments for the past 10 years, cognisance of transformations and policy changes. One significant finding is inadequate stakeholder consultation. One notable argument in literature is that students are neither proficient in the second language nor in their mother languages. However, major barriers to proficiency include negative attitude towards indigenous languages, a lack of equivalence of lexicon between English and indigenous languages, inadequate expertise in languages, as well as systematisation and implementation of policy. A conceptual model of stakeholder mobilisation for language policy planning that seeks to influence positive attitudes towards languages of teaching and learning is thus developed.

The arrival of the era of big data has promoted the new reform and development of various social industries, especially providing opportunities and challenges to improve the effectiveness of party history education in college students. At present, there are major problems in the party history education of college students, such as weak awareness of big data application, lack of big data application ability, imperfect party history education management system and the need to expand the party history education data platform to be expanded. Because of the problem, the corresponding countermeasures are put forward from establishing the concept of big data, building high-quality big data teachers, improving the big data management system of party history education for college students, and actively expanding the party history education big data platform.

This study investigated the relationships of paid and unpaid internships to anticipated employment outcomes for graduating college business students. It also investigated the self-reported source(s) by which these students had obtained their internship(s). In May of 2020, 445 graduating business undergraduates filled out an online survey, for which there was complete data for 405 students. Although most of the internships were pre-pandemic, the anticipated employment outcomes by graduation were in the early stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. Three dichotomous response anticipated employment outcomes were measured: securing a full-time job; securing a full-time job that consistent with one’s major; and being self- employed. Results were that students with at least one paid internship were more likely to anticipate securing a full-time job and securing a full-time job consistent with their major versus students without a paid internship. In addition, students with at least one paid internship were less likely to see themselves being self-employed versus students without a paid internship. However, there were no relationships for students having at least one unpaid internship, versus no unpaid internship, to these anticipated full-time employment outcomes. Students with at least one unpaid internship were more likely to see themselves being self-employed by graduation versus students without an unpaid internship. Surprisingly, the general source of “on my own” was the dominant method reported by students for obtaining both paid and unpaid internships. These results are further discussed, and study limitations noted.
