Karl Mannheim foi um filosofo que buscou entender a Sociologia do Conhecimento de forma mais ampla: como uma filosofia ‘atemporal’, a qual pode tratar adequadamente os problemas que surgem da situacao intelectual presente. Visto a contribuicao teorica e metodologica desse estudioso, este artigo visa analisar o surgimento da Sociologia do Conhecimento de Karl Mannheim e a sua repercussao no Brasil. Para tanto, foi realizado um levantamento do panorama dos estudos na area de Administracao, em artigos de 14 periodicos e 9 eventos, a fim de verificar o que vem sendo abordado sobre esse autor no Brasil, bem como identificar estudos e teorias que tem como base essa teoria sociologica. A analise mostra que, apesar de algumas restricoes, e significativa a recepcao da Sociologia do Conhecimento na sociologia brasileira, tendo impacto no conhecimento sobre a realidade social brasileira. Entretanto, os estudos de Administracao no Brasil carecem de embasamento teorico de Karl Mannheim. Esse autor tem influencia no conceito de geracao, disseminacao de cultura, analise de significacao, colonialismo e na relacao de conhecimento e existencialismo, embora, muitas vezes, sua contribuicao teorica nos estudos relativos a esses temas seja negligenciada. This study aims to analyze the emergence of Karl Mannheim's Sociology of Knowledge and its impact on Brazil. We carried out a survey in order to verify what has been made about this author in Brazil and to identify studies and theories that are based on sociological theory mentioned. The study analyzed 14 periodicals and 9 conferences in the Business area. The analysis shows that, despite some restrictions, it is significant the reception of the Sociology of Knowledge in the Brazilian’s sociology which affects the knowledge about the Brazilian’s social reality. However, studies in Business in Brazil lack the theoretical basis of Karl Mannheim. This author has influenced the concept of generation, dissemination of culture, significance analysis, colonialism and the relationship of knowledge and existentialism, although often its theoretical contribution to studies on these topics is neglected. Recognizing the diversity of actors in the interorganizational network, this study adopts the institutional perspective and a concept environment in which different groups of actors may perceive differently the same institutional context. Therefore, the study investigates how the sharing of the values of the institutional context groups of actors relates to the governance of the network in local productive arrangements (LPAs) located in Parana, Brazil. The quantitative and qualitative results showed that the differences in origin of perceived pressures. Furthermore, the study showed that the shared values regarding cooperation positively affects the configuration of governance. This provided insight into how are interactions at the local level that allow the concept of APL gain concreteness over time, indicating the possibility of thinking a corporate governance applied to APLs.

In this bibliometric study we discuss the institutional complexity in eleven journals in business administration and organization studies. We try to identify the main features of the present Institutional Theory discussion in organization theory. The main research techniques we used were citation, co-citation, factorial bibliometric analysis and multidimensional scaling to identify the most influential studies and the main themes that are interwoven in institutional complexity (institutional logics, conflicts, changes and identity). The sample consisted of 43 articles and more than 3000 references cited. The most cited works were grouped into three factors that represent the emergent topics in institutional complexity. The results show the emergence of a new set of important concepts in the context of the institutional theory, such as institutional logics, conflict, change, identity, strategy. That set of concepts is diverse from that one typical of the institutionalism in organizations, in the 90´s. Complementarily, we identify authors and papers that can be considered central in organizational institutionalism, according to the journals that we take as part of our sample.

The comprehension about aspects related to debt is a point that has been frequently discussed in the academy, however, only a few studies have related behavioural and socioeconomic factors to the attitude to indebtedness. In this sense, the objective of this study is to identify the influence of behavioural factors and socioeconomic variables regarding indebtedness. To achieve it, we researched 1.458 individuals who live in 31 counties in the Western Central Mesoregion of Rio Grande do Sul. To analyse the data, the descriptive statics, tests for difference of means (t test and Post Hoc) and the analysis of a linear regression have been made. The main results show that, on average, the respondents do not have tendency to accumulate debts, they are not tolerant to risk, they have low attitude to indebtedness, an adequate financial attitude, they are not compulsive buyers and they have a good financial behaviour. Finally, it has been identified that men should worry in a more effective way with the maintenance of a financial attitude, avoiding compulsive shopping and maintaining adequate financial behaviour.

One of the current trends in the Campo de Publicas is the inclusion of entrepreneurship subject in the discussion on the public policy formulation and implementation. This kind of thinking came from the understanding that with the globalization process it was necessary for the public sector to adapt to changes through a more flexible management that could respond to society’s demands. This research aims to analyze, from the beneficiaries’s point of view of the Programme “Programa Credito Solidario” (PCS) in a town in the southern of Minas Gerais State, in levels of economic, social and political emancipation of those who benefit from this public policy. It becomes clear how this type of action represents a process of implementation and formulation of public projects in a paradoxical condition, because at the same time it promotes new alternatives for the development of small business from the Economia Solidaria (Solidarity Economy), it alters to be rather weak in a context of economical, social and political emancipation of beneficiaries.

This work has as goal to evaluate how the paper of Phillips, Lawrence and Hardy (2004) and their discourse analysis model has been appropriated in the Organizational Studies field. Using a bibliometric measure of quoters and the qualitative analysis of quotation context, this paper describes: (i) the way it was applied empirically in researches, (ii) to what study objects it was applied, (iii) in which thematic areas it was used, and (iv) its repercussion among different theoretical slopes that have used the analytical model. As it was one of the first works to consider the possibility of a discourse analysis within the organizational studies using institutionalism, after 10 years of the publication, the results show perennial as a meta-theoretical base to discuss the theme. Considering those, the present paper proposes a theoretical-methodological model to conduct future discussions about the discourse role in the (re)production of institutional web.
