Karl Mannheim was a philosopher who aimed to understand the sociology of knowledge as a ‘timeless’ philosophy, which can properly handle the problems that arise from the current intellectual situation. This study aims to analyze the emergence of Karl Mannheim's Sociology of Knowledge and its impact on Brazil. We carried out a survey in order to verify what has been made about this author in Brazil and to identify studies and theories that are based on sociological theory mentioned. The study analyzed 14 periodicals and 9 conferences in the Business area. The analysis shows that, despite some restrictions, it is significant the reception of the Sociology of Knowledge in the Brazilian’s sociology which affects the knowledge about the Brazilian’s social reality. However, studies in Business in Brazil lack the theoretical basis of Karl Mannheim. This author has influenced the concept of generation, dissemination of culture, significance analysis, colonialism and the relationship of knowledge and existentialism, although often its theoretical contribution to studies on these topics is neglected.

This paper investigated the utilization of communication competence in projects specifically focused on educational project. Such research is justified due to the changes occurring in the contexts of teaching and learning, which implied the need to understand how the characteristics of today's students require revitalization of these contexts. Therefore, initially a theatrical play was presented to the students and later served as a locus for a case study of application of the educational project. It was developed with the qualitative approach, whose data was collected by means of: indirect and non-participant observation, with respect to the part recorded in observation protocol, with a total time of 3,570 minutes computed in the 51 times that the piece was assisted multiplied by 70 minutes duration; one survey research, with 1,161 students; and semi-structured interview with the producer of the play, the actors, teachers and coordinators of educational institution in which these students are included. Aiming to fulfill this need, this paper aims to comprehend how communication competence in projects can be used in an educational project in higher education institutions in Administration, by investigating the relevance of applying that competence in an educational project. The analysis of data from of these sources of evidence was performed by means content analysis. The results point to the relevance of the application of communication competence in the educational project studied.

For this purpose, a descriptive quantitative study was carried out by an intersectional survey. The data were analyzed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). It provides empirical support for the positive relationship between the desire for revenge and vindictive behaviors and vindictive behaviors with the desire for avoidance. There was no significant relationship between vindictive behaviors and the desire for reconciliation and, there was not further mediating effect between the desire for revenge and the desire for avoidance.

This research investigates whether the attitudes of chiefs and clients affects the satisfaction of sellers with their job. For this, the INDSALES Scale, written by Childers and Ferrell (1979), was used. Two dimensions were worked on this scale, the chiefs and the clients. From this dimensions, a questionnaire was build, involving three circumscriptions: the satisfaction with work, the attitude of chiefs and the attitudes of clients. Data collected from 255 sellers were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a model of multiple linear regression. The results of the study revealed that the satisfaction of the seller with his work is associated whether the chief put in practice the ideas that the sellers give on work, if the sellers do not suffered any injustice by the chiefs, and to the demonstration of confidence and understanding of their work by the customer. As conclusion, these results may help managers to define their policies of sales management considering the relations between chief and seller in order to improve the effectiveness of these relations.

Sustainability is a term in the business world, which is in evidence due to the requirement of the consumer society that values organizations with sustainable profiles. In the agribusiness sector, it is even more obvious that the importance of production models need to be concerned about the social, economic and environmental issues. This work aims to identify the main economic, social and environmental indicators used in companies in the agribusiness sector in order to ensure they follow the systems purpose and the Triple Botton Line (TBL). In order to achieve this, an exploratory and descriptive research was conducted to define sustainability indicators and to analyze the use of them. Data were collected through a questionnaire sent to 30 branch companies studied. The main results show the lack of knowledge of the essence of sustainability concepts and their importance. About relative sustainability, in most cases, their sustainable actions in organizations are focused on responding to the environmental laws of their industry. One can also see imbalance in the defined dimensions in TBL, showing a clear trend towards greater control over the financial aspect.

This article aims to discuss female entrepreneurship from a critical perspective, supported by feminist theories based on the relationship between work and social practices. The objective is to understand how female entrepreneurial action can lead to female emancipation. The complexity of the study relies on the chosen research object, which is the entrepreneurial initiatives of woman that work with craft activities. Through a case study, we explore the causes and consequences of the actions of the entrepreneurs organized in the Lace-Makers Association of Morros da Mariana, that produces bilro lace in the city of Ilha Grande, Piaui, through the standpoint of power relations and gender. The research finding points out the link between lace-maker´s artisanal activities and the reinforcement of traditional gender roles. As a conclusion, we acknowledged that even if production and the sales of lace may be a source of incomes for the group of woman drown together in the Association, the entrepreneurial activity based on craft is not an emancipator act that can subvert the unequal power distribution between man and woman in society. Following this conclusion, we recommend that further studies should take as research object the female entrepreneurial activity based on traditional craftwork.

The aim of this study was to understand the career transition of athletes, considering the completion of his or her career as a professional. For this it was selected a group of six former athletes, in individual sports, which during their sports career were members of the national teams of winning titles such as the South American, Pan American and / or Olympic. The research consisted of conducting semi-structured interviews with participants, from which we sought to apprehend aspects of the construction of the sports career from the first contact with sport, as well as the existence of a career after acting as professional athletes and their consequent construction considering transitions experienced throughout the process. This was an interpretative approach, thus opting for the interpretative paradigm. The nature of this research was qualitative. For data analysis we proceeded with content analysis from the proposition of an analytical framework composed of elements related to career and sport career concepts. The narratives were analyzed from three fixed categories: Career Sports, Career Transitions, and The Construction of a "New" Career. It was observed that the sports career started and ended early, due to age. Great importance was attributed to the coaches when regarding guidance and planning a sports career as well as afterwards. The influence of family it was considered strong, even if not always positive. The choice for a new career was, in most cases, influenced by the sports practice and is considered to be responsible for the development of physical, cognitive and especially emotional for effective coping and career development after being an athlete.
