In this paper, we study the geometry of biharmonic curves in a strict Walker 3-manifold and we obtain explicit parametric equations for biharmonic curves and time-like biharmonic curves, respectively. We discuss the conditions for a speed curve to be a slant helix in a Walker manifold. We give an example of biharmonic curve for illustrating the main result.

In this paper, we study the general Mandelbrot set of the family of polynomials Pnz=zn+z+c;n2 , denoted by GM( Pn ). We construct the general Mandelbrot set for these polynomials by the escaping method. We determine the boundaries, areas, fractals, and symmetry of the previous polynomials. On the other hand, we study some topological properties of GMP

In this article, we implemented the Elzaki decomposition technique (EDM) to solve Volterra–Fredholm integro-differential equations of higher-order. Illustrations are used to test the technique’s accuracy and validity. Comparison among the acquired consequences by EDM and actual solutions have proven the power and accuracy of this technique. This technique is dependable and able to supply analytic remedies for solving such equations.

Communication systems including AM and FM radio stations transmitting signals are capable of generating interference due to unwanted radio frequency signals. To avoid such interferences and maximize the number of channels for a predefined spectrum bandwidth, the radio-k-chromatic number problem is introduced. Let G=V,E be a connected graph with diameter d and radius ρ . For any integer k , 1kd , radio k coloring of G is an assignment φ of color (positive integer) to the vertices of G such that da,b

A Mathematical Model of Transmission Dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) with an Underlying Condition of Diabetes

It is well established that people with diabetes are more likely to have serious complications from COVID-19. Nearly 1 in 5 COVID-19 deaths in the African region are linked to diabetes. World Health Organization (WHO) finds that 18.3% of COVID-19 deaths in Africa are among people with diabetes. In this paper, we have formulated and analysed a mathematical comorbidity model of diabetes-COVID-19 of the deterministic type. The basic properties of the model were explored. The basic reproductive number, equilibrium points, and stability of the equilibrium points were examined. Sensitivity analysis of the model was carried on to determine the impact of the model parameters on the basic reproductive number R 0 of the model. The model had a unique endemic equilibrium point, which was stable for R 0 > 1 . Time-dependent optimal controls were incorporated into the model with the sole aim of determining the best strategy for curtailing the spread of the disease. COVID-19 cases from March to September 2020 in Ghana were used to validate the model. Results of the numerical simulation suggest a greater number of individuals deceased when the infected individual had an underlying condition of diabetes. More so, the disease is endemic in Ghana with the basic reproduction number found to be R 0 = 1.4722 . The numerical simulation of the optimal control model reveals the lockdown control minimized the rate of decay of the susceptible individuals whereas the vaccination led to a number of susceptible individuals becoming immune to COVID-19 infections. In all, the two preventive control measures were both effective in curbing the spread of the disease as the number of COVID-19 infections was greatly reduced. We conclude that more attention should be paid to COVID-19 patients with an underlying condition of diabetes as the probability of death in this population was significantly higher.

The purpose of this paper is to study the convergence analysis of an intermixed algorithm for finding the common element of the set of solutions of split monotone variational inclusion problem (SMIV) and the set of a finite family of variational inequality problems. Under the suitable assumption, a strong convergence theorem has been proved in the framework of a real Hilbert space. In addition, by using our result, we obtain some additional results involving split convex minimization problems (SCMPs) and split feasibility problems (SFPs). Also, we give some numerical examples for supporting our main theorem.

Osteoporosis, a bone metabolic disease, is one of the major diseases occurring in aging population especially in postmenopausal women. A system of impulsive differential equations is developed in this paper in order to investigate the effects of parathyroid hormone and prolactin on bone-forming cells, namely, osteoblasts, and bone-resorbing cells, namely, osteoclasts, under the impulsive estrogen supplement. The theoretical analysis of the developed model is carried out so that we obtain the conditions on the system parameters in which the stability and permanence of the model can occur. Computer simulations are also provided to illustrate the theoretical predictions.

The mechanical motion of a system consisting of simple springs is investigated from the viewpoint of two inertial observers with a relativistic relative velocity. It is shown that the final displacement of the springs is not measured the same by the observers. Indeed, it is demonstrated that there is an incompatibility between kinematics and dynamics in Einstein’s relativity regarding the force transformation.

The aim of this paper is to prove a common random fixed-point and some random fixed-point theorems for random weakly contractive operators in separable Banach spaces. A random Mann iterative process is introduced to approximate the fixed point. Finally, the main result is supported by an example and used to prove the existence and the uniqueness of a solution of a nonlinear stochastic integral equation system.
