This article aims to identify the performance of 25 children and adolescents with Asperger’s Syndrome (AS) and highfunctioning autism (HFA) in manipulative and verbal tasks, which can constitute a specific clinical marker in the subtypes differentiation of autism spectrum disorders (ASD). The intellectual profile of the sample was analyzed through the Wechsler Intelligence Scale (WISC-IV). This study allowed to determine the differences between verbal, perceptual, memory, and speed processing in AS and HFA groups. In particular, the good score obtained in the verbal comprehension index suggestsremodeling the construct in order to discriminate clinical subtypes through cognitive performance in these populations.

PPA is characterized by a marked agrammatism, which can bring cognitive and functional defects according to the progression of the disease. Its etiological and semiological recognition is essential in linking to an appropriate treatment. The study aims to identify the effects of cognitive language stimulation based on AAC strategies in a female of 67 years old. She has 1 year of schooling and is diagnosed with major neurocognitive disorder, frontotemporal lobar degeneration nfvPPA. A single case experimental design was used. Several measurements with the ESAPP and the DAD-E instruments and 19 sessions of cognitive language stimulation were done. The qualitative analysis for the ESAPP instrument indicates improvement in participation, communicative interaction and higher tolerance to frustration. For the DAD-E instrument, visual analysis indicates a trend of stable behavior at baseline with a delayed level change after the start of the intervention. Percentage of non-overlapping data (PND) gave as a result a treatment being quite effective, moderately effective and with a significant effect. The results obtained in other single-case research, as well as in this one, show that the use of alternative interventions brings benefits at the level of participation and therefore in the quality of life of people with PPA.

The importance of activity of social role play as a leading activity in the assimilation of the human culture experience is well known in historical-cultural psychology. The current article aims to show how objectal and symbolic actions turn into operations during the social role play activity at pre-school age. Two assessments of the level of formation of actions in play activity took place in the studyat the beginning and at the end of a scholar year-. The analysis of frequency and complexity of actions allowed to conclude that the internalization of the objectal and symbolic actions conduct to reflection and consciousness of the social relationship represented in the role. Also, qualitative changes were observed in the development of voluntary activity, imagination and reflexive thought.

This article presents a theoretical and documentary review of the literature on leadership as a competence, the relationship between leadership competence at the managerial level and the public sector; correspondence that little has been studied in Colombia and that consequently it is pertinent to describe its incidence in the dynamics of state organizations. The theoretical construct is presented as a product of the reviewed studies on contemporary theories on leadership for managerial positions and leadership as competence. Finally, the leadership in the Colombian public sector is problematized, proposing its limitations and opportunities

The aim of this investigation was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Eating Attitude Test-26 (EAT-26) in a sample of high school students without clinical diagnosis for eating disorders. The sample was constituted by 1,337 students (n = 604 men, n = 733 women) between 14 and 20 years old (x = 15.93 SD = 1.07). The EAT-26 was applied in nine schools distributed in all the Tijuana delegations. The participants filled out the scale during the academic schedule at school. Results showed that the current version of the instrument has an internal consistency of α = .82. Unlike the original scale -which comprises four factors-, the current version presented a structure of seven factors that explain 55.78% of the total variance. These factors were: concern about food (α = .82), diet (α = .69), bulimia (α = .60), anorexia (α = .58), perceived social pressure (α = .60), binge eating (α = .55), and behavior towards food (α = .31). It can be concluded that the EAT-26, in its Spanish version, has good psychometric properties and it is useful for evaluating the risk of eating disorders in Tijuana adolescents.
