Triple step writing strategy: Meningkatkan keterampilan menulis materi ajar multimodus representasi pada mahasiswa calon guru fisika 三步写作策略:

Keterampilan menulis materi ajar perlu dilatihkan kepada mahasiswa calon guru selama masa studinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan stategi  menulis materi ajar multimodus representasi. Dengan menerapkan strategi tertentu diharapkan mahasiswa calon guru fisika meningkat dalam hal keterampilan menulis materi ajar fisika yang di dalamnya menyajikan gabungan dua atau lebih modus representasi. Metoda yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metoda penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development Methods). Tahap-tahap yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini  meliputi studi pendahuluan, perencanaan, mengembangkan rancangan strategi pembelajaran, ujicoba pendahuluan, merevisi produk dan ujicoba utama. Dengan menggunakan metode R & D telah dikembangkan strategi menulis materi ajar multimodus representasi yaitu Triple Step Writing Strategy (TS-WS). Ujicoba pendahuluan (pleriminary field testing) menggunakan metode pre-experiment desain the one group pretest-posttest design. Ujicoba utama (main field testing) menggunakan metode quasi-expeiment desain randomized pretest-posttest control group design. TS-WS sudah diujicobakan pada mahasiswa calon guru fisika yang berusia rata-rata 21 tahun pada sebuah LPTK di Bandung. Ujicoba pendahuluan melibatkan 15 mahasiswa calon guru fisika dan ujicoba utama 45 mahasiswa calon guru fisika. Untuk mengukur keterampilan menulis materi ajar multimodus representasi mahasiswa ditugaskan untuk menulis materi ajar multimodus representasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa TS-WS efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis materi ajar multimodus representasi  mahasiswa calon guru fisika. Triple step writing strategy: Improving multimode representation teaching material writing skills of preservice physics teacher Abstract: Writing teaching material skills need to be taught to the preservice teachers during their studies. Pendidikan sains di sekolah menengah pertama perkotaan: Bagaimana sikap dan keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap sains? 城市上半区的科学教育:学生如何学习科学?

Abad ke-21 merupakan abad pengetahuan yang menghendaki segala aktivitas berbasis pada pengetahuan. Pada abad ke-21 ini sangat dibutuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritits, kreatif, kemampuan kolaboratif, metakognitif, kemampuan komunikasi, dan menguasai teknologi komunikasi. Selain itu, sikap dan keaktifan belajar merupakan hal penting yang harus dimiliki peserta didik dalam pembelajaran pada abad ke-21. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini dirancang untuk melihat bagaimana hubungan sikap dengan keaktifan belajar siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian mix methods metode asosiatif jenis korelasional. Prosedur penelitian ini dimulai dengan menyebarkan angket, dokumetasi, dan wawancara. Pengambilan data angket data kuesioner diberikan kepada 147 siswa di SMPN 18 Kota Jambi. Dari data tersebut kemudian dilakukan analisis data yaitu pengkodean data, penyariangan data-data yang layak dan analisis dari data tersebut. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji korelasional untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara sikap dan keaktifan belajar. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat hubungan yang positif antara sikap dan keaktifan siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA yang ditunjukkan dari hasil analisis pearson correlation sebesar 0.046. Science education in urban secondary school: How attitude towards science and learning activity? AbstractThe 21st century is the age of knowledge which requires all knowledge-based activities. In the 21st century, critical thinking skills, creative skills, collaborative abilities, metacognitive skills, communication skills, and communication technology are needed. Besides, learning attitudes and activeness are important things that students must have in learning in the 21st century. Therefore this study was designed to see how the relationship between attitudes and student learning activeness in science subjects. This research is mixed-method research with an associative type of correlational method. This research procedure begins with distributing questionnaires, documentation, and interviews. Retrieving questionnaire data was given to 147 students at SMPN 18 Jambi City. From the data, data analysis was then carried out, namely data coding, filtering the appropriate data, and analyzing the data. The data analysis technique uses a correlational test to determine whether there is a relationship between attitudes and learning activeness. The results of this study showed a positive relationship between student attitudes and activeness in science subjects as indicated by the results of the Pearson correlation analysis of 0.046.

Pengembangan keterampilan pemodelan matematis bagi calon guru IPA 培养IPA教师候选人的数学建模技能

Tingkat keterampilan pemodelan matematis di kalangan mahasiswa calon guru IPA, masih berada dalam kategori cukup dan rendah sehingga perlu ditingkatkan. Pada penelitian ini pengembangan keterampilan pemodelan matematis dilakukan dengan mengaplikasikan model pembelajaran ALLR (activity based, lesson learned, reflection) dalam kegiatan perkuliahan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan (penyusunan buku model pembelajaran ALLR dan perangkat pembelajaran yang kemudian divalidasi dengan kategori valid) dan tahap penerapan pada Mata Kuliah Dasar-dasar IPA, khususnya materi pegas dan getaran dengan menggunakan desain one shot case study. Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa calon guru IPA PTN di Jawa Timur Indonesia yang berjumlah 28 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan tes dan rubrik. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dengan representasi yang berupa tabel yang memuat nilai rata-rata, SD, persentase ketuntasan terhadap KKM, dan deskripsi dalam bentuk histogram. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Model pembelajaran ALLR dapat digunakan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan matematis bagi calon guru IPA. Adapun saran yang disampaikan adalah keterampilan pemodelan matematis ini masih perlu terus dilatihkan pada berbagai MK yang relevan dengan model pembelajaran ALLR. Developing of mathematical modelling skills for science pre-service teachers AbstractMathematical modelling skills level of pre service teachers is still on average and low category, so it needs to be improved. This study aimed to develop pre service teachers’ mathematical modelling skills by applying the ALLR (activity based, lesson learn, and reflection) learning model. This study was conducted in two stages, namely preparation stage and application stage. The first stage was the stage to prepare the ALLR learning model book, lesson plan, and student worksheet which have a valid category. Second stage was applied the lesson plan and the students worksheet using ALLR learning model to enhance mathematical modelling skills in the Basic Science Course. The topic discussed in this course was spring and vibration. The design of this study was one shot case study design. The subjects were 28 pre-service teachers of East Java, Indonesia. Data were collected by giving a test and rubrics. Then, the data were analysed descriptively and quantitatively in the form of table consist of the students’ achievement. The results showed that the lesson plan and student worksheet applied using ALLR learning model improved pre-service teachers’ mathematical modelling skills. It is suggested that mathematical modelling skills need to be trained in many other courses by applying ALLR learning model.

Kemampuan interpretasi merupakan bagian dari kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang penting dimiliki oleh siswa untuk dapat menafsirkan dan menyimpulkan perolehan data agar siswa dapat memahami maknanya dengan baik. Kemampuan interpretasi siswa tergolong masih kurang sehingga diperlukan adanya pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan interpretasi yang dimiliki siswa dalam laporan praktikum dengan format SWH yang melibatkan penggunaan kemampuan multipel representasi kimia pada konsep asam basa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan melibatkan dua kelompok subjek yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol pada siswa kelas XI MIA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan interpretasi siswa dengan pendekatan SWH secara keseluruhan dikatakan baik yaitu dapat melatih kemampuan interpretasi siswa, meskipun tidak diperoleh peningkatan hasil penelitian. Implikasi penerapan pendekatan ini mampu mendorong siswa untuk menggunakan kemampuan multipel representasi kimia yang sekaligus dapat mengindikasikan kemampuan interpretasi siswa. Implementation of science writing heuristic approach in practicum reports based on multiple representations on interpretation skills AbstractInterpretation skills are part of high-order thinking skills that are important to have by students in order to interpret and conclude the acquistion of datas that students are can understand the meaning of the datas in good. The students’ interpretation skills are still less, so needed the right learning approach. This research aims to determine the interpretation skills of students in the SWH format practicum report which involves multiple representations in chemistry on the acid-base concepts. The research used the quantitative descriptive design involving two groups of a subject are experiment and control were students of class XI MIA. The results showed that students’ interpretation skills with the SWH approach as a whole got to be good it’s able to train students’ interpretation skills even didn’t get an improvement of research results. Implication application of this approach was able to encourage students to use multiple representations skill in chemistry which to can indicated students’ interpretation skills.

Evaluating pre-service science teachers’ concept mastery in the topic of biodiversity during distance learning under circumstance of Covid-19 pandemic 新冠肺炎疫情背景下职前科学教师远程教学生物多样性主题概念掌握情况评价

Students as pre-service science teachers have to reach concept mastery during learning process, since it includes in a teachers’ pedagogical competence that has to be attained well. Although this current circumstance is under covid-19 pandemic, however distance learning should provide an effective situation that can gauge students’ concept mastery. This study aims at evaluating pre-service science teachers’ concept mastery in the topic of biodiversity during distance learning under circumstance of covid-19 pandemic. The research included in a descriptive quantitative study. The distance learning was conducted in the lecture of bioconservation during odd semester, on September 2020 toward 50 students in the year academic of 2017. Data were collected using an online test consisting of 10 multiple choice questions. Findings indicates that the pre-service science teachers’ concept mastery reached a score of 53.0 in which was categorized as moderate criteria. Therefore, it can be concluded that the concept mastery has to be enhanced continually in every learning process in order pre-service science teachers are able to comprehend science concepts and enhance this mastery respectively.
作为职前科学教师的学生必须在学习过程中达到概念掌握,因为它包含在教师的教学能力中,必须很好地达到。虽然目前的情况是在covid-19大流行的情况下,但是远程学习应该提供一个有效的情况,可以衡量学生的概念掌握。本研究旨在评估新冠疫情背景下职前科学教师远程教学中生物多样性主题的概念掌握情况。本研究纳入描述性定量研究。远程学习于2020年9月在奇数学期的生物保护讲座中进行,面向2017学年50名学生。数据是通过一个包含10个选择题的在线测试收集的。结果表明,职前科学教师的概念掌握得分为53.0分,属于中等水平。因此,职前科学教师在每个学习过程中都要不断提高对概念的掌握,才能分别理解科学概念和提高对概念的掌握。

Pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif pada materi hidrokarbon untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa 交互式多媒体使用碳氢化合物材料提高学生批判性思维能力

Berdasarkan hasil PISA Tahun 2018, peringkat siswa Indonesia pada kategori Sains yaitu 71 dari 79 negara dengan memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 396 yang masih dalam kategori dibawah rata-rata internasional yaitu 500. Hal tersebut terjadi karena beberapa faktor, salah satunya yaitu siswa Indonesia masih memiliki keterampilan berpikir kritis yang rendah dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal berpikir tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa melalui pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif pada materi Hidrokarbon. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 dan XI IPA 3 yang berjumlah masing-masing 24 dan 25 siswa pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen. Metode penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment dengan Nonrandomized Control Group Pre-test-Pottest Design . Instrumen penelitian ini berupa soal tes esai dan lembar observasi berdasarkan indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif pada materi Hidrokarbon dapat menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Pertumbuhan keterampilan berpikir kritis paling besar terjadi pada indikator memfokuskan pertanyaan sebesar 88,12% dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya perbedaan rata-rata antara kelas kontrol dan eksperimen dengan taraf signifikan sebesar 0,00. Hal tersebut juga didukung dengan perolehan rata-rata kelas eksperimen (22) yang memperoleh hasil lebih besar dari rata-rata kelas kontrol (18,56). This happens due to several factors, one of which is that Indonesian students have low critical thinking skills to solving high-order thinking test . This study aims to determine whether the use of interactive multimedia on hydrocarbon chapter is effective to make grow critical thinking skills. S ample in this study were students of XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3 with 24 and 25 students each control and experimental classes. Th e research method is Quasi Experiment with Nonrandomized Control Group Pre-test-Pottest Design. The research instrument used essay test questions and observation sheets based on indicators of critical thinking skills. Data were analyzed by SPSS version 22. The result showed that interactive multimedia use on Hydrocarbon chapter was effective to grow critical thinking skills . The most critical thinking skill growth occurs in focusing questions indicator with 88,12% on very good category. Statistical analysis result showed there was difference average between control and experimental classes with significant level 0.00. That data also powered by average result of experimental classes (22) bigger then average result of control calsses (18,56).

Effectiveness of next generation science standards based 5e learning model by utilizing local potential 利用地方潜力的下一代科学标准5e学习模式的有效性

This study aims at revealing the effectiveness of the next generation science standards based 5E learning model by utilizing the local potential of environmental education centre Puntondo to enhance students’ data literacy and problem-solving abilities. This research can be categorized as an experimental study. The subjects of this study were the seventh grade students of State Junior High School 2 Takalar. Two classes were involved, totaling 64 students. The data collection technique was carried out by using the test instrument. The data analysis technique used the gain score test and t-test analysis. The results showed that the gain score for the two classes for both abilities was in the medium category, with a value indicating that the gain from the experimental class was greater than the control class. Meanwhile, the t-test value is Sig. (2.tailed) data literacy of 0.003 and problem solving of 0.008. The acquisition of the value of the two abilities shows that the Sig. (2.tailed) is less than 0.05. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the NGSS-based 5E learning model by utilizing the local potential of EEC Puntondo is considered effective to enhance the data literacy and problem-solving abilities.
本研究旨在通过利用Puntondo环境教育中心的当地潜力,提高学生的数据素养和解决问题的能力,揭示下一代基于科学标准的5E学习模式的有效性。这项研究可以归类为实验研究。本研究的受试者是塔卡拉州立初中二年级七年级的学生。共有两个班,共计64名学生。数据采集技术是利用测试仪器进行的。数据分析技术采用了增益得分检验和t检验分析。结果显示,两个班的两种能力的增益得分都属于中等水平,一个值表明实验班的增益大于对照班。同时,t检验值为Sig。(2)0.003的数据素养和0.008的问题解决能力。获得这两种能力的价值表明Sig。(2.tailed)小于0.05。基于研究结果,可以得出结论,利用EEC Puntondo的本地潜力,基于NGSS的5E学习模型被认为是提高数据素养和解决问题能力的有效方法。

The correlation between students' curiosity and generic science skills in science learning 科学学习中学生的好奇心与一般科学技能的相关性

Curiosity is an attitude and action that seeks to know more deeply and broadly from something learned and acts as a driving force for learning. Generic science skills are thinking skills in intellectual abilities resulting from a combination of scientific knowledge and skills based on scientific knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between curiosity and students' generic science skills in science learning. This study uses a quantitative approach to explore the correlation between the variables studied. The total sample was 64 junior high school students, who were selected by random cluster sampling. Measurement of students' curiosity was carried out using a questionnaire, while generic science skills used multiple-choice test questions. The data obtained were then analyzed using simple linear regression on SPSS to determine the correlation between the two variables. Techniques adopted in teaching students organic chemistry course for several years 几年来有机化学教学中的一些技巧

Organic chemistry is a compulsory course for both science and science education students. Therefore a proper course design is needed to ease the understanding of the concepts considered difficult in terms of learning activities, application of technology, and innovation in the curriculum structure. Various studies have been carried out to solve problems in organic chemistry courses, with the majority focused on concept mastery due to students' difficulty. Furthermore, their thinking skills need to be improved after graduating from the university in accordance with the 21st century, which is associated with the application of technology and curriculum modification. The results showed that most studies in organic chemistry courses focused on improving students' concept, understanding, and thinking abilities. Therefore, little application of technology and curriculum modification is still needed in the innovation of organic chemistry courses, especially in applying technology. In conclusion, courses related to organic chemistry still need innovation, especially in the application of technology. This research can serve as a reference for developing organic chemistry learning in the future.

Penelitian ini bertujuan menumbuhkan minat baca siswa melalui implementasi assessment for learning berbasis higher order thinking skills ( HOTS ) dalam pembelajaran ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPA). Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental dengan sampel kelas VIIIC sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 dan kelas VIIID sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 di SMP Negeri 16 Bandar Lampung melalui teknik random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa instrumen asesmen HOTS hasil pengembangan dengan kelayakan terjamin validitas teoritis tim ahli dan validitas empiris yang melibatkan 174 siswa kelas IX SMP. Pengumpulan data penelitian memakai lembar angket instrumen skala self regulated learning ( SRL ) dengan fokus indikator pengukuran minat baca. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan minat baca siswa tumbuh sebesar 51,23% pada kelas eksperimen 1 dengan kategori “tinggi” dan 54,56% kelas eksperimen 2 juga berkategori “tinggi”. Pertumbuhan minat baca tertinggi pada kedua kelas eksperimen terdapat pada indikator membaca kembali buku catatan ketika akan menghadapi ulangan sebesar 60,33%, mencari jawaban dengan membaca buku di perpustakaan untuk memecahkan permasalahan tugas/PR tergolong sulit sebesar 55,01%, akan menonton acara favorit di televisi apabila tugas/PR telah selesai dikerjakan sebesar 54,00% dan 52,34% membaca buku teks pelajaran yang dimiliki. Dengan demikian implementasi assessment for learning berbasis HOTS pada pembelajaran IPA mampu menumbuhkan minat baca siswa.
