Most of the earth’s ecosystems have been dramatically transformed through anthropogenic actions. Unfortunately, some of these transformations represent a loss of diversity rather than enriching it. Habitat loss due to large-scale conversion of land to agriculture and settlement, infrastructure establishment, the introduction of invasive species and overexploitation of biological resources are among the global key drivers of terrestrial plant species diversity loss all of which have their origin in human demands placed on the terrestrial ecosystems. In Vihiga County, Hamisi sub-county, the rate of terrestrial plant diversity decline has increased in the recent past due to human actions; however, little is known about the effects of anthropogenic activities on terrestrial plant species diversity. The purpose of this study was to examine the status of the terrestrial plant species available in Hamisi Sub County of Vihiga County. The study was based on the ecological period between 1985 and 2015. The mixed research method design was adopted and a sample size of 201 household heads was selected from a study population of 17095. The sub-county was stratified into two divisions purposively selected for the administration of questionnaires, then the target household heads population was selected through simple random sampling. Key informants such as KWS officers, local administrators, agricultural officers, environmental officers and CBO leaders were selected through purposive sampling. Primary data was obtained through direct field observation, photography, satellite images, questionnaire administration, interview of key informants and focus group discussion. Secondary data was obtained from documented material; textbooks, journals, magazines, published and unpublished government reports and websites. Data from questionnaires were analyzed descriptively (frequencies with their percentages, means and standard deviation) using SPSS and presented in form of tables, charts and graphs and discussion essays. The other quantitative data analysis was performed using ArcGIS Desktop tools and presented as satellite images, GIS plates and photographs. Qualitative data was analyzed from emerging themes. The study findings revealed that: The terrestrial plant species had declined to a large extent while others disappeared completely. This information was expected to be used by decision-makers to ensure a high percentage of terrestrial plant species diversity is restored for human well-being. Article visualizations:

The issues concerning public policies around the foster care system for children and young people in Portugal, represent above all, a historically troubled process, marked by controversial, but not at all reformist decisions, regarding the problematic of institutionalization. We propose to carry out an analysis of the formulation process of the policy measure Challenges, Opportunities and Changes (DOM Plan), according to Harold Lasswell's theoretical model of sequential analysis or the stages of the political process, as well as the corresponding objectives achieved by this measure. This analysis allowed us to draw in a systematic way the characteristics of each of the stages identified in the policy process, as well as to explore the results and the contribution of the actors involved in the implementation of this policy measure. We conclude that the media played a major role in precipitating the political process at the origin of the DOM Plan and that the goals stipulated by this policy measure, imminently quantitative and introduced within the political discourse, never became a reality.

The Communist Party of Vietnam’s military art in the resistance war against the U.S imperialists for national salvation is the continuation of Vietnam’s tradition of fighting the US to save the country. Over thousands of years of fighting to protect the Fatherland and liberate the nation, Vietnam has built an advanced and unique military art and ideology. Vietnam is a small country, often having to fight against an aggressive move with larger and stronger manpower. Therefore, how should Vietnam’s military art and thought develop in order to win the victory? A small country defeating a large country is a bitter contradiction and must face many difficulties and hardships. Solving this contradiction is a great creation, which requires very high intelligence and the art of excellence in war leadership. That is the uniqueness, the development, the characteristic of Vietnamese military thought and art. Article visualizations:

This article constitutes a literature review on inclusive education for inclusive school development. Inclusive education supports a holistic and sustainable approach to learning for all and combines all fields of knowledge and experience. The focus of this paper is to explore the theoretical interrelation between inclusive education and sustainable philosophy. Prevention education can be a key educational process for the sustainability of inclusive education. The review examines issues, as it is necessary to develop data that will contribute to a more comprehensive description of these modern educational trends and will help to develop appropriate school materials on inclusive education and learning for all. The Index for Inclusion (Booth et al., 2006) is a set of materials to guide schools through the inclusive process in the 21st century with emphasis on the social model of disability. Further, the review examines to shed light on the skills of teachers. The purpose of this study is to review recent theoretical approaches and new data that would promote teacher education for inclusion. Article visualizations:

During the communication process, the media person must use the interview method to collect information. However, due to the characteristics of each different type of communication, the language, methods and skills of interviewing are different. The video interview is considered the most difficult skill. In Vietnam, the images of interviewees appearing in video interviews make them feel shy and uninterested because they are affected by many factors such as psychological appearance in front of the camera. Sometimes, they are shy or do not want many people to know about them. Therefore, conducting a video interview becomes more difficult. Therefore, in order to conduct an effective video interview, media people need to equip themselves with the necessary basic skills.

People have always felt the desire to assert themselves; if some have done so by investing in scientific research, industrial development and the creation of wealth for the benefit of their nation, others on the other hand have remained in their ancestral perimeter whose main activities are the search for vital necessities and the declaration of endless wars on their neighbors. The reality is that those who have understood the importance of scientific research and technological innovation are one step ahead of the latest cities these days. Westerners were quick to confess their expansionist ambitions. In the name of deep curiosity, knowledge and research, they crossed oceans, rivers, forests, arid lands and very hostile regions, to discover new territories. These risks have earned them today the position of masters of the world, since the means used to overcome these stages were unknown to the newly discovered peoples. The reality is that those who have understood the importance of scientific research and technological innovation are one step ahead of the latest cities these days. Tan An, an islet in the Ca Mau province, is located on the historic Hon Khoai island, which serves as the nation's southernmost outpost. The economic condition of the residents there is quite poor, with employment being the most urgent issue. Because this location is crucial for national marine strategies, the paper hopes to contribute to providing the necessary knowledge for those who propose socio-economic development plans for the local economy and national defense.

The public education system of Sri Lanka suffers from poor education outcomes and wide disparities in academic achievement across schools, and studies have revealed that students’ outcomes are best when the teachers are qualified in both, the subjects they are assigned to teach and in pedagogy. Though the studies have revealed that student outcomes can be improved by improving the professional skills of teachers, any convincing evidence of the influence of teachers’ professional skills on student outcomes in Sri Lanka cannot be found. To fulfil that gap, this study explored the influence of teachers’ professional skills on student outcomes in government schools in Sri Lanka, using the pretest, posttest experimental design. Data were collected before and after the 8-week intervention period, from a sample consisting of 102 students and four teachers of English, that were observed quantitatively. Findings revealed that teachers’ professional skills as one of the most influential factors that decide the student outcomes directly of a school, which offer valuable recommendations to the education system in Sri Lanka, in order to enhance student outcomes by taking steps to improve the professional skills of teachers. During the war of resistance against the US, to save the country 21 years of hardship for the Vietnamese people, the year 1972 held a particularly important position, creating a major turning point of the war with decisive victories in both South and North Vietnam, both military, political and diplomatic struggles. Due to the heavy defeat, the US imperialists were forced to return to the negotiating table, sign the Paris Agreement, end the war, and restore peace in Vietnam. With this victory, the Vietnamese army and people fulfilled President Ho Chi Minh’s instructions to “fight for the US to get out”, to “fight for the puppets to get out”, and to regain independence and reunify the country.
