Tax fraud remains the greatest challenge to the government across the world, but the alarming rate at which it is being perpetrated in Nigeria is of concern to the government. The government has lost billions of naira as a result of this. The involvement of taxpayers in tax fraud depends on the level at which they perceive the institution of governance. Hence, this study examined the influence of interaction between institutional quality and taxpayers’ behaviors on tax fraud management in south-west Nigeria. The study employed a quantitative method to generate data from the total population of 504,263 respondents. The sample size consisted of 400 taxpayers (companies and businesses) registered with the Federal Inland Revenue Service in southwest Nigeria. The data were analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM). The interaction of institutional quality and taxpayer behaviors on tax fraud management was found to have a significant negative relationship (= -0.066, t = -1.763, p = 0.039, 0.05). According to this study, the sets of exogenous latent variables (i.e., institutional quality and taxpayer behaviors) explain 78% of the variance in tax fraud management. The study concluded that the working together of taxpayers’ perceptions of both low institutional quality and taxpayers’ behaviors has a significant influence on the tendency for taxpayers to engage in tax fraud management in south-west Nigeria. It was recommended that the better the morale of a taxpayer, the lower the tax fraud. Therefore, the government is advised to adopt policies and measures that can boost the taxpayers’ morality, which will in turn enable them to see tax fraud as a negative to their principled value system as law-abiding citizens. It is also recommended that tax authorities should be seen as taxpayers' friends by making their interactions with taxpayers less bureaucratic. Article visualizations:

Dipo is a puberty rite performed for adolescent girls with an average of 18 years and above into adulthood in Lower Manya Krobo Municipality. Dipo rite inculcates cultural values into the initiates and preserves cultural heritage. However, the reduction in age and nudity associated with the practice could put initiates at high risk of STDs including HIV transmission. The purpose of the study was to examine the cultural sustainability of Dipo and associated HIV risk in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in Ghana. A purposive sampling technique was used to select participants and interviewed them with the guide of an interview schedule. The findings of the study revealed that risk factors of HIV transmission include cultural, social, individual, and institutional risks. The study also found that cultural sustainability indicators associated with Dipo puberty rites include cultural heritage, vitality, diversity, locality, eco-resilience, and eco-education and civilization. While cultural heritage, vitality, diversity, locality and eco-education, and civilisation were found to sustain Dipo rite, eco-cultural resilience poses a risk of HIV transmission. The implication of this finding is that the performance of Dipo rite is a worthy cultural practice. It is recommended that innovative ways should be adopted to sustain the rite and reduce its associated HIV risk. Article visualizations:

This study assessed the job performance of the district ALS implementers in relation to ALS program achievement in the Area V districts in Leyte Division for improved quality of life. Specifically, this research answered the following questions: (1) What is the profile of ALS implementers in terms of age, sex, experience, and relevant training?; (2) What is the level of the job performance of the district ALS implementers?; (3) What is the achievement level of the ALS program in terms of Basic Literacy and Accreditation and Equivalency Program?; (4) Is there a significant relationship between the implementers’ profile and their job performance?; and (5) Is there a significant relationship between the implementers’ job performance and ALS program achievement? The research hypotheses tested were: (1) There is a significant relationship between the implementers’ profile and their job performance; and (2) There is a significant relationship between implementers’ job performance and achievement of the ALS program. The findings revealed that the ALS implementers belonged to the 30 – 38 age bracket with more females than males. They have varying experiences and training attended. They performed their job very well. Literacy achievement is also satisfactory and substantially related to their job performance. Likewise, their profile, particularly sex, experience, and training were related to their job performance. It is concluded that the ALS program in Area V has been managed well by the implementers. The literacy programs are effective in attaining their teaching objectives. Job performance has a positive impact on literacy program achievement. It is recommended that a functional staff development program for ALS implementers be provided to make them more competent and productive. Strictly enforce the policies and programs to have a uniform and more accurate implementation. More incentives are given to all those involved in the ALS programs and projects for greater commitment from them. Article visualizations:

I argue in this paper that legal, but in effective citizenship does not matter much, only effective citizenship matters. Effective citizenship can award an individual the “right to have rights.” Ineffective citizens do not have the “right to have rights” or they do not have access to many important rights associated with citizenship rights. They suffer from ineffective governance, and the State of their citizenship discriminates against them. My empirical findings show that the Biharis in Bangladesh are de jure citizens, but de facto stateless persons. In the strict legal sense, they are citizens of Bangladesh, but practically they still do not have access to many significant rights attached to the citizenship right that is essential to make their citizenship meaningful or effective. This paper suggests that to make them effective citizens of Bangladesh, the Government should extend equal rights and responsibilities to the Biharis like other citizens. Their ability to access all rights and duties attached to citizenship rights would make them effective citizens of the country, and their citizenship could be meaningful. Article visualizations:

At present, Chinese college students are Internet natives. Many people are addicted to online games and short videos all day long, unwilling to read books, lack lofty career ideals, and have negative learning attitudes. In order to improve this situation, this research carried out a 6-month motivational film and television education experiment among 375 college students. The experiment found that nearly 90% of the 186 students in the experimental group who participated in the "mobile appreciation + discussion and sharing" motivational film and television activity recognized and affirmed the education model, and their life beliefs, career ideals, postgraduate entrance plans, and learning enthusiasm have been significantly improved. However, 189 students in the control group who did not participate in the activity to maintain their original learning and living conditions had no significant changes in the above test indicators. At the same time, the final exam scores of the four major courses in the experimental group were also 11% higher than those in the control group. It can be seen that appreciation and sharing of inspirational videos have a very positive impact on improving students' ideal beliefs and academic performance. Article visualizations:

Waste segregation at the source, which is a pre-requisite aspect in waste management challenges, is a concept that mining sectors in Zimbabwe are yet to completely appreciate and put into practice on a broader scale. The accumulation of solid waste has become a global challenge in various mining industries. Despite the efforts of Unki Platinum Mine in environmental management participation in solid waste segregation at Unki Platinum Mine is still limited. Since the organization needs to accomplish its aim of zero waste to landfills by 2030, it is critical to encourage source separation practices among its personnel. There is a need to recognize the issues at a general employee level in order to propose appropriate suggestions for enhancing solid waste segregation at the source. The goal of this study was to look into the issues of solid waste segregation at the source at the Unki Platinum Mine in Shurugwi. Several departments at the mine that create significant solid wastes were chosen to participate in this investigation. Within the Mining, Concentrator, Human Resources, Mineral Resources Management, Engineering, and Environmental, Health and Safety and Quality (SHEQ) departments, questionnaire sets were distributed to the targeted audience. This research included a variety of data collection methods, including questionnaires, observations, and guided interviews. The problems with solid waste segregation at the source have been highlighted. These include a lack of adequate awareness and enough receptacles, especially in underground working locations, and failure to recognize substantial waste in sections, as well as behavioral tendencies and indifference on the part of most employees toward solid waste segregation systems. More recyclable waste is being dumped into landfill as a result of poor solid waste segregation at the source. The study findings revealed that inadequate receptacles, trash collection equipment, and a lack of effective instruction to staff are likely infrastructure hurdles to correct solid waste segregation at the source. Solid waste segregation at the source can be achieved by providing adequate receptacles, motivating personnel with incentives, and implementing appropriate instructions, awareness and initiatives. As the physical and psychological well-being has become a cultural and public health focus in Western countries, the impact of social networking sites has been highlighted, especially for the young who are in the process of identity formation. For them, the rapidly evolving social media world is increasing in importance as the main arena for socializing, experimentation, exploration and communication. Studies connect the exposure of adolescents and young adults to social media with body image dissatisfaction and eating disorders (ED), mainly bulimia, anorexia and binge eating. Especially the media cultivating beauty ideals are predictors of the development of eating pathology. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between social media platforms and eating disorders in students and whether their use influences the process of identity formation. With a sample of 158 students from the University of Patras, the measuring instruments used in the study were a structured questionnaire to investigate the effect of social media on eating disorders and the process of identity exploration and the Bulimic Investigatory Test, Edinburgh (BITE) questionnaire to investigate the episodes of binge eating, predisposition to bulimia nervosa and the cognitive and behavioral manifestations of bulimia. This study utilizes empirical data to focus on the role of religion in the migration process in light of two theories developed thus so far in the field of immigrant integration. This is achieved based on my own data collected in form of interviews in relation to east African immigrants living in Finland. I investigate whether the currently existing conceptual toolbox is sufficient enough to base an analysis of immigrant integration and how religion influences the process of immigration. Effects of religion are analysed based on individual east African and communal expressions of religious faith. I begin by exploring the concepts of migration and immigrant integration. I then proceed to evaluate the social exchange theory and the social bond theory while focusing on the experiences of east African immigrants in Finland that are captured via interviewing. I argue that despite the theoretical framework for analysing migration phenomena there is still a need for a deeper analysis of the key effects of religion on immigration processes. Additionally, east African immigrants in Finland often face difficulties in religious assimilation in the host society due to mainly language barriers and differences in religious practices. There is an equal need for more elaborate research on religious concepts since most of the currently existing theories are an amalgam of social factors appertaining to immigration processes. A separate focus on religion becomes a necessity since religion has become a juggernaut in migration phenomena. Article visualizations:

Biological annihilation has been influenced by human activities and this has led to changes in land use and land cover, pressure on the ecosystem, biodiversity loss and contribution to global warming. This study assesses the changes in land use and land cover in The Gambia. Satellite images for the period from 2015 to 2019 from Copernicus were obtained and used for the study. ArcGIS Software and Microsoft packages were used for data analysis. Change analysis showed that between the years 2015 to 2019, there was a percentage increase for water bodies, herbaceous wetlands and built-up areas with 23.68%, 8.97% and 0.5% respectively. There was a percentage decline in forest, shrubland, herbaceous vegetation, bare/sparse land and cropland during this period. About 7.86 Km2 of Gambia became bare/sparse land as a result of climate change. Article visualizations:

This study provides an analysis of migration, religion and integration literature in a twofold approach: first, the development in volume and the internationalization of the field are analysed. Second, development is analysed in terms of topical focus within migration studies over the recent decades of the 21st century. To capture volume, internationalisation, and topic focus, my analysis involves topic modelling of the landscape of migration studies. Given that there exist different research motives surrounding the subject of migration, previous literature indicates a linear growth path towards an increasingly diversified and fragmented field. Although previous literature indicates an increase in migration studies the problems of migration, in reality, are yet far from being solved. Moreover, the analysis reveals that there is a shift between various topics within the migration field as opposed to a growth of diversification of topics. This means that there is less linkage between studies tackling a specific topic as studies have taken independent directions. Lastly, this literature review study reveals that fragmentation in migration studies has no consistent trend and in contrast, there is a recent connectedness between related topics of migration.
