Neste trabalho estudamos os discursos nacionais e religiosos encontrados em material didático de ensino de hebraico, produzido por uma escola paulistana judaica. Considerando a influência da ideologia sionista e das fontes judaicas na formação do hebraico moderno, entendemos que a relação entre as duas abordagens discursivas representa um projeto pedagógico e ideológico específico. Assim, o objetivo principal é compreender de que modo o religioso e o nacional são incorporados no ensino do idioma em comunidades fora de Israel.

Ganhador do prêmio Pulitzer em 1997, o livro conta a história de Sueco Levov, um judeu assimilado cuja filha comete atos terroristas nos anos 60. A partir desse foco familiar, o autor explora a adaptação e rejeição do sonho americano por judeus de diversas gerações.

Este artigo apresenta uma mulher casada ao mesmo tempo com dois homens de religiões e cidadanias diferentes em um território apátrida governado por organizações que deslegitimam direitos civis, menosprezam a liberdade individual e suprimem a autonomia feminina. Objetiva-se expor a tensão entre identidades religiosas, nacionalidades, identidade sexual e status social na evolução de conflitos religiosos, econômicos e políticos do lado ocidental do Rio Jordão. As informações apresentadas resultam de uma extensa pesquisa de capo que incluí entrevistas com todas as partes citadas, visitas aos locais mencionados e análise de costumes e legislações transmitidos em programas de noticias oficiais israelenses e de informações em árabe transmitidas por redes regionais autônomas. O provincianismo dos distritos dessa região contribui no reconhecimento imediato da identidade linguística, religiosa e nacional dos envolvidos em todas as interações sociais. A situação surpreende na medida em que uma pessoa torna-se refém de contextos políticos e religiosos e opta submeter-se a violência ao invés de procurar abrigo através de organizações que respeitam legislações civis e criminais. A originalidade está no fato de uma mulher transitar entre dois maridos em endereços diferentes próximos em uma sociedade machista que não tolera a bigamia feminina.

O objetivo deste artigo e apresentar o resultado da analise das situacoes matematicas que sao propostas no livro didatico utilizado em um curso de Ensino Medio Integrado a Educacao Profissional. A analise do livro baseou-se em pesquisa documental e requereu uma revisao bibliografica sobre contextualizacao e Enfoque Ontossemiotico do Conhecimento e Educacao Matematica. Em relacao ao contexto, foram investigadas as situacoes apresentadas na introducao dos conteudos e nas atividades propostas. No que se refere aos conhecimentos previos e emergentes, foram analisadas somente as atividades propostas. Verificou-se que, nas atividades de introducao, prevalece o contexto da realidade; e nas propostas, o da propria Matematica. Esses dados mostram a expressividade de atividades de calculos algoritmicos, que contribuem para a aprendizagem de tecnicas e propriedades, mas nao para o desenvolvimento do pensamento critico do aluno. Assim, considera-se que os autores poderiam ter distribuido as atividades de maneira mais uniforme. Ressalta-se ainda que as atividades tambem nao contemplam a realidade da area tecnica.

This article discusses the meanings of the school curriculum regarding the proposal for implementing inclusive education. Based on a review of the literature, the study analyzes different perspectives of the curriculum; while analysis of the different legal devices that support inclusion used documentary research. Based on these analyses, the results indicate the direction towards Post-Critical curriculum as that which best meets the needs of building a truly inclusive school. Conclusions lead to the understanding that the trend of post-critical curriculum breaks with the ways of being and organizing schools, as well as question the absolute truth that disabled students require either different or exclusive school.

In scientific research, we always seek to excellence in methodology, since the definition of the best method is as important as the choice of the scale to be used. This study aims to identify the types of scales used in research and its applications. The four most common types of scale are: nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio. Among the attitude scales used in scientific research, we highlight the Thurstone and the Likert. The Thurstone scale is used to measure a probable human attitude without indicating the intensity. The Likert scale consists of five items ranging from complete disagreement to total agreement on certain statement. It differs from Thurstone’s due to the degree of intensity that is covered by its answers and it has been more used.

The paper discusses the importance of assessment in social policies, especially in basic education. The work is divided into three parts: the first deals with the Brazilian educational policy, its organization and legislation; the second is about the importance of evaluating social policies; and the third is an analysis of IDEB (Basic Education Development Index) - the main form of assessment of basic education. Thus, we intend to discuss and reflect on the role of assessment policies, and whether IDEB has been effective in the pursuit of improving the quality of basic education.

In a globalization scenario, uncertainty and high competitive edge between the companies, every manager needs to make decisions that bring competitive advantage to his/her organization. These decisions are increasingly complex, which demands more rapid and precise information to allow efficient decision-making. It is in this scenario that Information Systems (IS) have gained importance in the decision-making process. Yet, many of these IS may not be adequate to the manager’s needs. This study aims to identify the perception of the managers of an Organizational Unit at an oil and derivatives company about the support given by ISs regarding their decision making. To obtain the expected results, a questionnaire based on the critical factors involved in IS quality and directed to the managers of the Organizational Unit. Results of this study will enable professionals responsible for developing ISs, as well as managers and those working with these systems to identify strengths and weaknesses of existing systems.

The ISO 9001:2008 certification is designed to ensure the quality of a product / service in order to optimize results. However, there may be some barriers. Thus, the aim of this study was to explore the standardization implementation period in a small hotel in order to establish the impacts of barriers. Methodological procedures included analysis of customer satisfaction surveys, application of questionnaires to consultants, and elaboration of benchmarking on consulting and successful hotel cases. Results show that lack of employee commitment to quality, and understanding by the management of standardization as a form of company organization may be considered as key challenges.
