The article presents the results of an empirical research aimed at understanding students' attitudes toward the communication they have with a teacher in a boarding school. The study was conducted on a sample of 67 subjects, 36 female and 31 male. For the purposes of this research, a descriptive method a survey technique was used. The analyzed results of the research show that the majority of students feel comfortable and relaxed in communication with the teacher. According to the students, communication in boarding schools can be improved by organizing workshops on verbal and non-verbal communication, greater commitment of teachers to communication with students and having more time and patience to listen to students. The results of the study show that students believe that teachers possess valid verbal and non-verbal communication skills and that teachers have more democratic communication than autocratic ones. To make the life and daily functioning of the students in the boarding school positive and effective, it is also necessary that the communication on the teacher-student relationship be of a good quality, healthy and successful.

The subject of this article is ornament and its role in the author's artwork observed through the methodology of work's creation. Ornament is 'the oldest form of higher mathematics'. The period to which this research refers is the process of creation of my doctoral art project, but it also refers to the period immediately preceding it, and which contains my initial steps in the field of fine art and the first signs of may own use of ornamentics. Therefore, the task of this paper is to provide some answers with regard to the methods and their use in creating of an author's work of art. It also provides answers with regard to how interaction of methods affects the shaping of artistic experience, which are in this case defined by the notion of ornament. Research methodology refers both to the theoretical and the practical part. The goal of this paper is to observe and refer to the process of the artwork creation, which is deeply personally determined, but through the prism of both theory and practice. s. . Another focus point of this text is to prove that every work of art is the subject of examination by the author despite the conventional and widespread opinion that it emerges automatically and as an explicit and unique product of emotions. Thorough research done on author's own work lead to the following results standing out in this review: Every procedure used in the process of creating an artwork is determined by ratio (it is made under the strict control of the mind) and emotions (intuitively). 2. It is possible to systematically disintegrate and analyze the potential meanings of personal ornamentics and symbolic layers defining it by applying theoretical and practical methods. 3. By applying the method, the work of art becomes demonstrable.

The paper deals with the relation of power, knowledge and freedom in the Damned Yard by Ivo Andric. In this sense, the multiple meanings of the dungeon have been especially observed and analyzed; its routine and possible broader meanings are stated; the elements that open the approach to work as a universal allegory, with special reference to the characters of Karađoz, police officer, Camil and Džem-Sultan. Starting from M. Fuko's attitudes, the central part, using the Karađoz's game as an example, shows the mechanism and the exercising of power which is also revealed in the police officer's actions during Camil's arrest. The final part points to the recognition of the disciplinary concept of understanding and arranging the world in stories about Camil, Džem and Karađoz.

This paper deals with the free time activities of pupils, that is, the organized forms of educational work that is realized through the work of sections that are in the service of fostering aesthetic taste. The paper examines the pupils' opinion on participation in the sections. The sample of this study consists of 140 pupils from four elementary schools. The research was carried out using the method of data collection and survey technique and the questionnaire was used as an instrument. The results of the research show that pupils are interested in working in free time activities, that they are not overburdened by the work in them and that they have a positive opinion about cultural and artistic events. Also, the results show the link between pupils' school achievement and participation in free time activities. The work brings useful knowledge about pupils' interests. Key word: free time activities, sections, elementary school, aesthetic taste, cultural and artistic events.
