The use of gadung (Discorea hispida dennst.) tubers as food source is not seen as an attractive option due to dioscorine and cyanide anti-nutritional compounds contained therein. The presence of dioscorine and cyanide compounds makes gadung tubers known as poisonous food. Although the community has known its poisonous nature, the use of gadung tubers as natural pesticides (biopesticides) is not commonly known by the community. Using gadung tubers as biopesticides provides solution to unanswered problems caused by chemical pesticides. This article seeks to describe the potential use of anti-nutritional compounds of gadung tubers as biopesticides based on literature reviews. Various literature related to anti-nutritional compounds contained in gadung tubers and their use as biopesticides have been analyzed in depth. The literature review results show that dioscorine and cyanide anti-nutritional compounds are toxic and can be used as biopesticides. The effectiveness of gadung tubers on various agricultural pests depends entirely on the concentration of gadung tubers used. The use of gadung tubers as biopesticides is needed to increase and maintain the productivity of agricultural land in addition to preserving natural resources.

The research was conducted on the chemical representation of buffer solution learning through multi-model TTW-PBL learning to determine the understanding of chemical representation and reduce students' misconceptions. The method used is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group. The samples of this study were students of class XI MIPA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 3 as the control class at SMAN 11 Banjarmasin. The independent variables are the TTW-PBL learning model in chemical representation and the PBL model in chemical representation. In contrast, the dependent variable is the understanding of chemical representations and misconceptions. The data analysis technique used descriptive and inferential analysis techniques. Descriptive analysis was used to find out the differences in students' misconceptions. The inferential analysis uses a t-test to analyze differences in understanding of chemical representations. The results showed significant differences in the understanding of chemical representation in the class using the multi-model TTW-PBL and PBL model with a value of tcount > ttable = 2.15 > 1.99 and the percentage of misconceptions of 16.57% and 23.24%, respectively. Finally, TTW-PBL learning with Chemical Representation can reduce students misconception.

Natural disasters in Indonesia constantly occur every single year and have adverse effects. In order to minimize those negative effects, it is crucially needed to increase disaster literacy in the society, which starts from the students. To improve disaster literacy, students must be assisted with teaching materials that focus on disaster material, such as disaster education e-books. Disaster education e-books are teaching materials that contain the vibration, waves, and disaster materials combined with a webbed integration model. This research aimed to measure the validity level of the developed disaster education e-book. The research method applied was research and development with the 4D development model proposed by Thiagarajan et al. (1974). However, this research did not reach the disseminating stage, so the development model used became a 3D model consisting of defining, designing, and developing stages. Validation questionnaires were used to measure product validity, and these questionnaires were assessed by two expert lecturers and three science teachers. The development of teaching materials in the disaster education e-books form scored 81%, and it was categorized in the valid category. As a result, the disaster education e-book developed was valid for use at the junior high school level.
