The study of oxidation behavior of amorphous alloys based on Zirconium with 2 variations in composition was carried out: Zr64.5Cu17Ni11Al7.5 and Zr69.5Cu12Ni11Al7.5 at temperatures of 400 - 450˚C in air. Amorphous Zr-based alloys were thermally characterized using Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) to determine the crystallization temperature and glass transition temperature. The oxidation characterization was carried out using a Thermo gravimetric Analyzer (TGA) at temperatures of 400, 425, and 450˚C for 4 hours in air. The phase analysis of the oxidation product was identified using X-Ray Diffaction (XRD). Based on DSC data the crystallization temperature for Zr64.5Cu17Ni11Al7.5 and Zr69.5Cu12Ni11Al7.5 is 426 and 442˚C respectively. The oxidation kinetics of the two alloys follow parabolic law and the oxidation rate increases with the addition of temperature. Oxides formed during isothermal oxidation in the Zr64.5Cu17Ni11Al7.5 and Zr69.5Cu12Ni11Al7.5 alloys are t-ZrO2 (tetragonal) as the dominant phase and ZrO2 (monoclinic) and CuO as the minor phase. The intermetallic phase is also formed in both samples, t-Zr2Ni and Zr2Cu.

Skills to analyze essential material are compulsory for pre-service science teachers, especially by the substance of PCK (elements for the professionalism of science teachers). Therefore, this study aimed at describing the ability of pre-service science teachers in analyzing the essential material of science regarding PCK substance, namely organizing science material. This observational research used a rubric to record quantitative data and research note for qualitative data. The data then analyzed descriptively. As a result, the competence of pre-service science teachers in analyzing the essential material of science is good enough. This research aims to find the effect the research and development of voiced tree media based on Children Learning in Science (CLIS) model of learning achievement and learning motivation of SDN 1 and 2 Ngembel students. The research model in this research is Research and Development. The approach in this research uses models from Borg and Gall. This research combines the voiced tree media with CLIS model. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by the literature study, observation, and the implementation of the pre-test and post-test conducted at the beginning and end of the learning process. Based on the results of research and data, it was concluded that the application of voiced tree media was based on the CLIS model influences students' learning achievement in physics, both SDN 1 Ngembel and SDN 2 Ngembel. SDN 1 Ngembel produces a value of t table of 2.160369 while t count for -15.064, while SDN 2 is released for t table is 2.160369 while t count is for -14.408. The development of voiced tree media based on CLIS model also influences students' learning motivation with the results of mean data from observations of learning when learning the process at SDN 1 learning is 15.14 motivations when the learning process takes place at SDN 2 learning is 14.4.

This study aimed to describe the conceptual change of student before and after being taught through 5E learning cycle on the rate of reaction. One group pretest-posttest design was chosen as research design. The population consists of three classes students during the academic year of 2016/2017. According to saturation sampling technique, all of population then was chosen as samples. CRI Aided Achievement test was utilized to collect data about students’ conceptual change. The result showed that the conceptual shift was successfully confirmed. It was described according to five objectives. They were 1) objective of determining of the order of reaction which students gained 18.75 % improvement; 2) objective of determining the rate law which students gained 46.88 % improvement; 3) objective of determining the rate constant which students gained 15.62 % improvement; 4) objectives of determining the rate of a reaction which students gained 9.37 % improvement; and 5) objectives of determining the half-life which students gained 62.50 % improvement.

This purpose of this study is to improve media of Socratic dialogue that has been developed by the previous researcher and to determine the effect of the Socratic dialogue in enhance understanding of heat concept. As a result of prior research, showed students still have a misconception. Data collected from one institution of high school in Malang City using pre and posttest. Student’s conceptual changes that occur previous, during, after will be analyzed based on pretest and posttest scores and rethinking sequence of used record Socratic dialogue media. To explore more in-depth, the researcher conducted interviews with students on this concept. This result showed Socratic dialogue media could help students be aware mistakes or students become convinced if their opinion is correct. This study is important because it uses to improve student’s comprehension to move from the false toward the right concept. In some cases, the result of this study used for recovery and prevent to misconception. It can solve with appear cognitive conflict in the minds of students through Socratic dialogue.

This study was based on the potential of new methods in knowing students' interest in physics lessons. Interest in learning physics was the tendency and interest of students to learn the process and try to know and understand the material physics with experience of the environment both content and contextual. The subject of physics was more emphasis on the count, and then in each calculation equation was made in the form of symbols. Symbols that are often used in physics are the Greek alphabet. One of the most commonly used was the symbol "π." It was a Greek alphabet pronounced with pi. It was commonly used on specific subjects. The value "π" was 3.14 or 22/7 otherwise the value "π" was 180°. The use of "π" symbol in the level of education unit of High School as much as ten material of physics.

Information Literacy (IL) and Science Process Skills (SPS) have been widely examined to enhance the quality of learning, especially in higher education, in which information technology has become the basis of human life. This research aims to explore the relationship between IL and SPS to the grade point average (GPA) of pre-service science student. Determination of samples using a typical case sampling is 278 students from 329 active students in the program at S1-Science Education, Surabaya State University (UNESA). This research uses quantitative approaches. The source of data is a test result of IL and SPS towards a GPA in the odd 2017/2018 semester. The data were analyzed using the Minitab 16 program. The results of the data analysis showed that = 26,69 ˃ 3,03 = = (0,05;2;275) or in other words support data to reject with confidence level 95%. This investigation concludes that there is a significant relationship between variable information literacy and science process skills together against the grade point average. The results of the research are expected to be one of the considerations in choosing and determining the right learning of science teachers,

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of science worksheets with cognitive conflict strategies to reduce student heat misconceptions. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Lamongan by using one group pretest-posttest design. The data obtained in this study is quantitative data, and the number of students in VII grade is 50, students are called to complete the research if the proportion of correct answers is more significant than the standard achievement test. While the class is said to complete the study if 85% of students can reach the standard test criteria. The researcher obtained information about the level of mastery of students' concepts by using N-gain, one method in the descriptive qualitative analysis. It shows the different levels of student mastery before and after treatment given. The effectiveness of the Science Worksheet will be analyzed from the acquisition of learning outcomes. This yields 0.94 points which means that the value of N-Gain is in the sufficient category, it can be said that the application of the Science Worksheet with cognitive conflict strategies can reduce heat misconceptions of junior high school students.
