Multimodal authentication approach for visually impaired in smartphone platforms 智能手机平台视障人士的多模态认证方法

With the prolific increase in utility of smartphones across the spectrum of users, universal accessibility becomes mandatory without compromising security. This paper proposes an approach to authenticate users with a multimodal mechanism which is better suitedfor visually impaired. The model incorporates text medium in the form of braille, kinetic medium in the form of orientation and the keystroke dynamics through pressure gradient sensors. The proposed model is designed to reduce the vulnerability against attacks such as aural eavesdrop, shoulder surfing. The cross-platform compatibility is one of the major advantages of the proposed model. The adoptability of the proposed model among the visually impaired users is validated through focused group user feedback analysis.

Design of low leakage power SRAM using multithreshold technique 采用多阈值技术设计低漏功率SRAM

CMOS scaling technology has leads to sub-threshold leakage, effects of short channel, leakage of gate dielectric and device to device variations increase leakage additionally. In SoC (System on Chip), SRAM cell is occupied in the area of about 90%. It has been implementing by using FinFET, though leakage becomes the considerable main factor in SRAM. In addition, for deep submicron technologies the double gate FinFET devices are became a best option in technology where implemented in deep submicron. By this consideration, we proposed to implement 6T SRAM cell using double gate FinFET (DG FinFET) with independent gate which controlled independently with gates opposite sides that maintains excelling scalability for SRAM. The proposed device is applied using different techniques for leakage reduction namely gated Vdd and multithreshold voltage techniques to reduce leakage. Therefore, leakage power in the SRAM cell is decreased and provides better performance. The proposed leakage reduction techniques have been simulated using Cadence in 45 nm technology for FinFET SRAM with independent gate.

Suppressing wrinkles and enhancing human face using L0 norm and ACO algorithm 利用L0范数和蚁群算法抑制皱纹增强人脸

In digital image processing various filters are provided to enhance the quality of image. Visibility of some parts in images are enhanced while suppressing the information in some parts of it. Fei Kou et al had found that L0 norm is a useful mathematical formula to enhance the quality of the image by amplifying the edges present in the detail layer. However in this the problem of suppressing the desired information is not taken into account. In this letter, we are presenting L0 norm and ant colony optimisation based filter which not only enhance the quality of the image but also suppress the unwanted wrinkles from the human faces, thus using the image enhancement algorithm from both perspective i.e. to enhance the quality of the detail layer as well as to suppress the unwanted information. Simulation results shows that the signal quality is improved and mean square error is considerably reduced using this approach. Moreover histogram equalisation of the image also get improved.

Comparative study on the computation of state transition matrix using La-grange's interpolation technique and Cayley-Hamilton theorem 利用拉-格朗日插值技术和Cayley-Hamilton定理计算状态转移矩阵的比较研究

The state transition matrix (STM) can be used to obtain the general solution of linear dynamical systems in electrical engineering. For any control system, to understand its behaviour and properties, calculating the STM is very crucial. There are several ways to calculate STM out of which we usually use the Cayley-Hamilton theorem or Laplace transform method. This paper presents the comparative study of the computation of state transition matrix using La-grange's Interpolation formula and Cayley-Hamilton theorem. In addition, this paper also suggests how to find the controllability matrix using the La-grange's Interpolation formula during the design of the pole-placement design approach. This method can be included in the academic book to study the course on state space analysis.

A hybrid approach to feature selection using correlation coefficient and fuzzy rough quick reduct algorithm applied to cancer microarray data 将相关系数与模糊粗糙快速约简算法相结合的特征选择方法应用于肿瘤微阵列数据

In this study, we applied a novel method by using correlation coefficient filter for dimensionality reduction followed by fuzzy rough quick reduct algorithm for feature selection. The classification performance was evaluated using the gene subsets obtained from correlation based filter and our proposed method. Later we compared the results with other traditional classifier techniques. After suitable experimental analysis, it has been found that our proposed method has a two-fold advantage namely selection of much lesser number of genes compared to correlation coefficient and improved classifier accuracy in majority of the cases. This approach also reduces the number of misclassifications that might occur in other approaches.

Wireless ethernet for IoT: A case study 物联网无线以太网:一个案例研究

Wireless Ethernet is one of the most important wireless technology that enhances our personal environment, either work or private, by means of networking or a variety of personal and wearable devices within the space and with the outside world. It refers to a link layer protocol in the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) stack, describing how networked devices can format data for transmission to other network devices on the same network segment, and how to put that data out on the network connection. This paper represents an overall view of the wireless Ethernet features, advantages, applications and integration of mobile communication. It initially assumed a shared medium: multiple devices on each segment of the network, connected daisy chain at first but later in star topology via Ethernet hubs(which replicated all traffic received on any port to every other port).

Automated selection of parameters using Tabu Search in image segmentation 在图像分割中使用禁忌搜索自动选择参数

Segmentation is a process to obtain the desirable features in image processing. However, the existing techniques that use the multilevel thresholding method in image segmentation are computationally demanding due to the lack of an automatic parameter selection process. This paper proposes an automatic parameter selection technique called an automatic multilevel thresholding algorithm using stratified sampling and Tabu Search (AMTSSTS) to remedy the limitations. It automatically determines the appropriate threshold number and values by (1) dividing an image into even strata (blocks) to extract samples; (2) applying a Tabu Search-based optimization technique on these samples to maximize the ratios of their means and variances; (3)preliminarily determining the threshold number and values based on the optimized samples; and (4) further optimizing these samples using a novel local criterion function that combines with the property of local continuity of an image. Experiments on Berkeley datasets show that AMTSSTS is an efficient and effective technique which can provide smoother results than several developed methods in recent years.

An overview on dynamic virtual machine provisioning using truthful greedy mechanisms in clouds 在云中使用真实贪婪机制的动态虚拟机供应概述

Cloud providers face so many decision problems when offering Infrastructure as a Service to their customers. A major challenging problem for cloud providers is scheming efficient mechanisms for virtual machine provisioning and allocation. Those mechanisms enable the cloud providers to effectively utilize their available resources and obtain higher profits. Freshly, cloud providers have introduced auction-based models for virtual machine provisioning and allocation which allow users to submit bids for their requested virtual machines. In this paper, dynamic virtual machine provisioning and allocation problem formulated for the auction-based model considering multiple types of resources. Then truthful greedy mechanisms designed for the problem such that the cloud provider provisions virtual machines based on the requests of the winning users and determines their payments. Proposed mechanisms are truthful, that is, the users do not have incentives to influence the system by lying about their requested bundles of virtual machine instances and their valuations. Proposed mechanisms will achieve promising results in terms of revenue for the cloud provider.

In this paper, dynamic virtual machine provisioning and allocation problem formulated for the auction-based model considering multiple types of resources. Then truthful greedy mechanisms designed for the problem such that the cloud provider provisions virtual machines based on the requests of the winning users and determines their payments. Proposed mechanisms are truthful, that is, the users do not have incentives to influence the system by lying about their requested bundles of virtual machine instances and their valuations. Fatigue life estimation of aircraft engine compressor with suitable material selection (Analytical approach for compressor lifetime) 选择合适材料的航空发动机压气机疲劳寿命估算(压气机寿命分析方法)

In Aviation sector, fatigue life and its analysis of each component is one of the prime factors of consideration due to the catastrophic failures that can result from it. Most of the components fail in high cycle fatigue regimes, but the compressor's fatigue life is intermediate between high cycle fatigue and low cycle fatigue. Objective of this paper is to estimate and compare the suitability of a centrifugal compressor in a gas turbine engine with different materials are Titanium alloy 685, Aluminium alloy 2618 and Carpenter Invar 36 alloy by calculating the displacement and fatigue life using analytical method. The reference component of this paper is modeled by using CATIA and simulation is carried through ANSYS with the property of Aluminium alloy 2618, for the purpose of validating the simulation and analytical results.

Architecture of automated reservation system using automated teller machine 基于自动柜员机的自动预订系统架构

This paper aims at implementing an automated reservation system, more convenient for an end user using Automated Teller Machine. This paper would deal with automated travel ticket reservation system in three steps which are establishing a secure connection with a remote server, money transfer and successful reservation of the travel ticket. Main aim of this paper rests in providing an immediate availability of an option to the end user for purchasing a travel ticket at any instance of time period with ease. The main attempt of this system is to increase the convenience of the end user by providing to reserve travel ticket anywhere, anytime - implementing Any Time Reservation (ATR) System. This would not only reduce the time constraint of the end user, but also efficiently manage the underutilization of the ATM Terminals. Providing an efficient utilization of the under-utilized Automated Teller Machine also is the aim of the ATR system. A RESTful web service is implemented as a prototype in to demonstrate automated reservation system. Active establishment of session between ATM Terminal and remote server is guided through National Financial Switch (NFS).
