A novel method for automatic ICi selection in EEG signals 一种新的脑电信号自动选择方法

Advancements in EEG signal processing yields tremendous research in the field of BCI. Online based BCI fails in selecting independent components from different brain regions. Unknown order of the independent components and the random weight matrix used in repeated ICA trainings may leads to a different ICA result. This paper highlights a new idea of automatic ICi selection by taking an average of particular brain regions which resolves the problem of online BCI. The proposed method has been tested in EEG datasets such as .SET, .SMA which succeeds in selecting reference ICi.

USB_SEC: A secure application to manage removable media USB_SEC:管理可移动媒体的安全应用程序

Nowadays securing data has become a prime concern for educational institutes, workplaces etc. USB drives are now largely used for storing and transferring data due to its large capacity at nominal cost, high-transferring rate and portability. These drives are not only used to store data but they also have the ability to run software programs and boot the operating systems. Besides several advantages, USB drives are being misused for stealing data and injecting viruses, Trojans and malicious software into the system. With the invent of U3 technology, which runs based on the auto-run facility of the operating system it has become possible to copy data without the owner's knowledge. This paper provides a solution to safeguard from data-thefts without using physical methods like using superglue to block the USB ports, without altering the registry values and without using Bios method.

Design of microstrip patch antenna for application in UWB region 应用于超宽带区域的微带贴片天线设计

This paper presents results of an investigated microstrip patch antenna having different geometrical slots. These slots are equal in area. It includes the square, rectangle, circle and elliptical shaped geometry. The designed antenna has shown a return loss of -26dB. The VSWR value for the designed antenna is 1.1 at a resonating frequency of 8.51GHz. Besides radiation pattern and gain of the antenna were also studied. The designed antenna has its wide application in UWB region. However a total of seven resonating frequency was reported by the designed patch antenna.

Optimized resource provisioning for dynamic flow on cloud infrastructure using meta heuristic technique 使用元启发式技术优化云基础设施上动态流的资源配置

The expansion of ubiquitous virtual and physical sensors, leading up to the Internet of Things, has accelerated the rate and quantity of data being generated continuously. Application QoS is also impacted by variability of resource performance exhibited through clouds and hence necessitates autonomic methods of provisioning elastic resources to support such applications on cloud infrastructure. The proposed work is to develop the concept of “dynamic dataflows” which utilize alternate tasks as additional control over the dataflow's cost and QoS. The application model is developed for dynamic dataflows as well as the infrastructure model for representation of IaaS cloud characteristics and an optimization problem is proposed for resource provisioning that balances the resource cost, improves application throughput and improves domain value based on user-defined constraints that are presented through a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) based heuristic for deployment and runtime adaptation of continuous dataflows to solve the optimization problem. Also the proposed efficient greedy heuristics can provide optimal solution over efficiency, which is critical for low latency streaming applications. Elasticity is to mitigate the effect on variability, both in input data rates and cloud resource performance, to meet the QoS of fast data applications.

Fuzzy-based sensor validation for a nonlinear bench-mark boiler under MPC 非线性基准锅炉MPC下的模糊传感器验证

Most of the power plants are automated with complete closed loop control systems. For this purpose, numerous sensors are required to monitor the proper functioning of the plant. Due to various reasons, these sensors may not be able record actual value of the measured variable. This misleads the controller taking faulty actions on manipulated variables. It is very important to monitor the measured parameters which help not only for operating the plant safely and also predicting the incipient failures of the sensors. In this paper, a fuzzy based data validation algorithm is implemented to a bench mark boiler which is controlled by a model predictive control is presented. A non-linear bench boiler model has been taken for study and a model predictive control(MPC) is implemented and tested on its combustion control unit. Sensor data validation algorithm is developed for oxygen sensor which measures the excess oxygen present on the air/fuel rate of the combustion control unit.

A survey of distributed denial of service attack 分布式拒绝服务攻击研究综述

Information security deals with a large number of subjects like spoofed message detection, audio processing, video surveillance and cyber-attack detections. However the biggest threat for the homeland security is cyber-attacks. Distributed Denial of Service attack is one among them. Interconnected systems such as database server, web server, cloud computing servers etc., are now under threads from network attackers. Denial of service is common attack in the internet which causes problem for both the user and the service providers. Distributed attack sources can be used to enlarge the attack in case of Distributed Denial of Service so that the effect of the attack will be high. Distributed Denial of Service attacks aims at exhausting the communication and computational power of the network by flooding the packets through the network and making malicious traffic in the network. In order to be an effective service the DDoS attack must be detected and mitigated quickly before the legitimate user access the attacker's target. The group of systems that is used to perform the DoS attack is known as the botnets. This paper introduces the overview of the state of art in DDoS attack detection strategies.

Implementation of MRPSO techniques on economic load dispatch problem considering various generator constraints 考虑各种发电机约束的MRPSO技术在经济负荷调度问题中的实现

This article presents moderate-random-search strategy PSO called MRPSO to solve both convex and non-convex economic load dispatch (ELD) problem of the thermal unit. Here transmission loss is not considered. The proposed methodology can take care of ELD problems considering nonlinearities such as valve point loading, ramp rate limits, prohibited zone etc. The objective of economic load dispatch is to determine the optimal power generation of the units to meet the load demand, such that the overall cost of generation is minimized, while satisfying different operational constraints. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms has been verified on different test systems with equality and inequality constraints. Compared with the other existing techniques demonstrates the superiority of the proposed algorithms.

A versatile path planning algorithm with behavioural control using FPGA based robots 基于FPGA的机器人行为控制多用途路径规划算法

The versatile solution to path planning of multi robots for industrial based services are presented in this paper. The authors are motivated to solve the challenges of multi robots path planning issues. The hardware based amenable algorithm for optimal path planning of multi robot with behavioural control is developed. The heuristic approach based leader follower method is incorporated between robots for behavioural control. The robots were able to navigate in both static and dynamic conditions by using the modified M* based obstacle avoidance mechanism with CORDIC module. This is validated by implementation of algorithm on Spartan 6 FPGAs (XC6SLX45 CSG324C).

The authors are motivated to solve the challenges of multi robots path planning issues. The hardware based amenable algorithm for optimal path planning of multi robot with behavioural control is developed. The heuristic approach based leader follower method is incorporated between robots for behavioural control. The robots were able to navigate in both static and dynamic conditions by using the modified M* based obstacle avoidance mechanism with CORDIC module. EEG authentication system based on auto-regression coefficients 基于自回归系数的脑电认证系统

Researches on brain signals have indicated that electroencephalogram (EEG) signals of different persons under the same experimental environment have different identity characteristics. In order to better utilize EEG signals in identity authentication, a new analytical approach to study authentication system based on EEG signals is designed in this study. To increase the stability of authentication procedure, event related potentials (ERPs) are introduced in this study. Subjects' photos are used as one of stimulus source and subjects are divided into groups when their EEG signals are collected. To increase classification accuracy, auto-regression coefficients methods are used in this study to extract features.

Smart sensors techniques for monitor comatose patient using embedded system 嵌入式系统监测昏迷病人的智能传感器技术

Unconsciousness is a state of unawareness of self and environment of those mental activities by which people are made aware of themselves and their environment, coupled with a diminished responsiveness to environmental stimuli. Smart sensors are mostly used in aeronautical, computer and for gesture recognition in biomedical application. This system designed and developed a reliable, energy efficient for sending alert message to the concern person when person in coma. The system used smart sensors like flex sensor, MEMS body sensor and eye blink sensor. Whenever person moves any finger, any eye lid and tilt the body towards right or left side, the flex sensor, eye blink sensor and MEMS sensor detects the movement respectively, and alert to the concern person through GSM.
