Effects of fruit maturities, coatings, and storage temperatures on the qualities and green-life of cavendish banana 果实成熟度、保鲜膜和贮藏温度对卡文迪什香蕉品质和绿色寿命的影响

Cavendish banana is a climacteric fruit with a fast response to ethylene and a very high respiration rate during storage. Previous studies revealed that these characteristics shortened the green-life and fastened fruit damage, affecting the economic value. Therefore, this study aims to examine the effects of fruit maturity levels, coatings, and storage temperatures on the qualities and green-life of Cavendish banana. The result showed that the level of fruit maturity significantly increased the green-life duration, as well as maintained firmness, diameter loss, acidity, and starch content, but it had no effect on weight loss, oBrix, and glucose. Meanwhile, low temperature was able to delay senescence, promote starch degradation, as well as detain firmness and diameter loss. The results also showed that the combined application of maturity levels + temperatures affected all parameters, while maturities + coatings as well as coatings + storage had effects on firmness, acidity, and starch content. The 1% chitosan coating coverage was analyzed with a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), which showed fully covered surface of M1 finger rind tip and some crack points on finger rind base. Furthermore, there was full coverage on M2, and some crack points on M3.

One of major challenge in a sustainable growth, which organizations face is a slow adoption of the digital transformation. This research work presents the reasons that lead to the slow digitization process in medical device SMEs in southern Germany. In addition, by developing the conceptual model, this work highlights the effect of these improper implementations on SME's business performances and financial situation. The researchers applied correlational research design methodology, with simple random sampling techniques along with empirical and statistical study with primary data collection. The main study variables are SME’s financial situation, SMEs organizational performance, and medical digitization rules. The study demonstrated the negative impact of delayed digital mechanisms in terms of businesses and financial performances.The extra transparency restrictions that add burdens for SMEs, and the lack of training for the employees, which in overall add more difficulties for adopting innovation and digital transformation are other factors negatively affecting the studied process.

An experimental study on the development of multipurpose biomass burner for cooking stove and thermal generator for household application 家用炉灶用多功能生物质燃烧器及热发生器的研制

The present study proposes a novel concept of a solid biomass burner for household applications. The designed biomass stove is a multipurpose burner that can be used as a cooking stove and thermal generator. It works as a basic model of a biomass cooking stove and is coupled with a coil heat exchanger for thermal generation. The experimental evaluation is conducted by using the time-to-boil (TTB) method to measure the effective energy that can be harnessed from the combustion process. It shows that the maximum temperature outlet from the coil heat exchanger is 62.2 °C. The effective energy uptake for the coil heat exchanger is 41.9%, whereas the overall energy uptake, including the kettle, is obtained by more than 50%. Therefore, the proposed model can improve the efficiency of solid biomass burners for household ware.

The paper aims to analyse the current market in the carrier, express and parcel services market in the EU and Slovakia from the economic, societal, and technical view. It is divided into an introduction, an analysis of the current state in the EU and Slovakia, and a discussion and conclusions. The paper also includes related statistical data presented in the form of graphs. As a result, the development of the CEP market is possible only with a focus on improving the efficiency of delivery, motorisation, unification, expanding the network of collection points and improving the customer experience.

The role of TiO2 NPs catalyst and packing material in removal of phenol from wastewater using an ozonized bubble column reactor 二氧化钛NPs催化剂和填料在臭氧泡塔反应器中去除废水中苯酚的作用

Phenol is present as a highly toxic pollutant in wastewater, and it has a dangerous impact on the environment. In the present research, the phenol removal from wastewater has been achieved using four treatment methods in a bubble column reactor (treatment by ozone only, using packed bubble column reactor with ozone, utilizing ozone with TiO2 NPs catalyst in the reactor without packing, and employing ozone with TiO2 NPs in the presence of packing). The effects of phenol concentration, ozone dosage, TiO2 NPs additions, and contact time on the phenol removal efficiency were determined. It was found that at a contact time of 30 min, the phenol removal was 60.4, 74.9, 86.0, and 100% for the first, second, third, and fourth methods, respectively. The results indicated that the phenol degradation method using catalytic ozonation in a packed bubble column with TiO2 NPs is the best treatment method. This study demonstrated the advantages of using packing materials in a bubble column reactor to enhance the mass transfer process in an ozonation reaction and then increase the phenol removal efficiency. Also, the presence of TiO2 NPs as a catalyst improves the ozonation process via the production of hydroxyl routs. Additionally, the reaction kinetics of ozonation reaction manifested that the first order model is more applicable for the reaction. Eventually, the packed bubble column reactor in the presence of TiO2 NPs catalyst provided a highperformance removal of phenol with a high economic feasibility.

Study on performance of a green hydrogen production system integrated with the thermally activated cooling 结合热活化冷却的绿色制氢系统性能研究

The energy transition is at the centre of research and development activities with the aim to fight against the effects of global warming. Today, renewable energies play a significant role in the electricity supply to the World and their use increases day after day. Because of the intermittency of a large-scale production system generates the need to develop clean energy storage systems. Hence, energy storage systems play is one of key elements in the energy transition. In this perspective, a green hydrogen is defined as an energy carrier thanks to its high energy density in relation to its negligible mass, not to mention its abundance in our environment, and its extraction, which does not contribute to any greenhouse gases. However, the production cost is not negligible. Hence, this work shows a numerical modelling of the heat balance from a green hydrogen production system using a thermal storage in a Metal Hydride (MH) tank for an electrification by Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell integrated into the production of heating, cooling and sanitary hot water (SHW) through the recovery of the heat released by the whole system combined with the technology of thermally activated cooling of an adsorber. This allows demonstrating that the green hydrogen can be an interesting solution according in the hydrogen production chain and in particular in the tertiary sectors.

With both the ecological and economical aspect of fossil fuels as a source of energy, the demand for renewable sources is rising. This paper aims to analyse two scenarios, which would benefit from the use of a photovoltaic system. In the first scenario, a strategically important warehouse is analysed, and a photovoltaic system is designed and simulated. In the second scenario, two designs of photovoltaic systems that could be used in mobile applications by first responders, military command centres, or during natural disasters are proposed. The results of the simulations are discussed and may serve as a basis for real-life system design and application.

This paper aims to analyse two scenarios, which would benefit from the use of a photovoltaic system. In the first scenario, a strategically important warehouse is analysed, and a photovoltaic system is designed and simulated. In the second scenario, two designs of photovoltaic systems that could be used in mobile applications by first responders, military command centres, or during natural disasters are proposed. Evaluation of design and insertion analysis of a conical shaped polymeric based microneedle for transdermal drug delivery applications 用于透皮给药应用的锥形聚合物基微针的设计和插入分析评价

Transportation of drug through parental routes are conventionally followed through hypodermic injection methods, where hypodermic injections are administered into the human skin for drug release. However, there are some issues observed when these hypodermic needles are being used, there are instances where the needle is being inserted leaves some needle fractures in the skin. To cater to the issue scientific researchers are voraciously working on designing and developing polymeric type of microneedle structures for various medical diagnostic applications for glucose monitoring, drug delivery, and other applications. This article presents the structural design of a conicalshaped polymeric microneedle and the insertion force while being pierced into the skin. Simulations at different insertion angles on microneedle are analyzed by arriving with total needle displacements in the process of insertion. The von mises stress is also analyzed with applied force at different insertion angles resulted in incremental change in stress exerted by the microneedle. The resultant stress is below the yield stress which makes the microneedle pierce into the skin without breakage.

Simulation and design of an energy accumulator around the hydrogen energy vector 围绕氢能量矢量的蓄能器的仿真与设计

This work demonstrates the study of the numerical modelling and a design of a compact energy generator based on green hydrogen. This generator aims allowing the energy storage, electricity, cold and heat productions as well as a supply the energy for the production of the sanitary hot water. The generator is considered to be powered by 30 solar cells panels and will mainly consist of a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) electrolyzer compiled with a Metal Hydride (MH) tank, a PEM fuel cell, and a system of heat exchangers sized to recover the heat from the electrolyzer, PEM fuel cell and MH tank. Furthermore, the generator will contain an adsorber to manage air conditioning (cooling and heating) and a production of the sanitary hot water. A converter block is included in the generator, in particular, a Buck-booster to raise the voltage of the solar panels and the DC-AC converter for the electricity consumption in the household. The desorption of the hydrogen contained in the tank MH will take place using the heating resistance. In overall, the designed generator is foreseen to have a dimension of 1800 × 1000 × 500 mm and its role is to allow integration of the hydrogen energy for the tertiary and residential sectors. As such it is a suitable choice of components for the cost reduction and high yield hydrogen production, storage, and consumption.

Dilute sulfuric acid and acidic ionic liquids are pretreatment methods used to selectively hydrolyze hemicellulose from lignocellulosic biomasses. In this work, a comparison between these techniques is carried out by treating sugarcane bagasse both with 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate at different ionic-liquid and water contents and with H 2 SO 4 at the same conditions and equivalent ionic liquid molar contents. Results from the use of ionic liquid showed that it was possible to tune the biomass treatment either to achieve high hemicellulose hydrolysis yields of 72.5 mol% to very low furan and glucose co-production, or to obtain furfural at moderate yields of 18.7 mol% under conditions of low water concentration. In comparison to the use of ionic liquid, sulfuric acid pretreatment increased hemicellulose hydrolysis yields by 17%, but the 8.6 mol% furfural yield was also higher, and these yields were obtained at high water concentration conditions. Besides, no such tuning ability of the biomass treatment conditions can be made.
