INVESTIGATING DRIVERS OF DIGITAL BANKING ADOPTION OF GEN Z IN INDONESIA 调查印尼z世代采用数字银行的驱动因素

Despite the fact that digital banks are the most recent financial service that provides online banking services without direct contact with customers, they have yet to transform the whole financial sector. This study was done in a quantitative manner utilizing primary data to investigate drivers of digital banking adoption by Gen Z using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT 2) approach. There was a total of 232 respondents participating in this study. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results show that social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivations, perceived value, and habit positively influence the Gen Z’s behavioral intention to use the digital banks; while performance expectancy and effort expectancy show the opposite influence. Further, the behavioral intention also positively influences the Gen Z’s use behavior of digital banks. To promote digital bank customer commitment and satisfaction, digital banking service providers are suggested to increase the value of benefits outweighing the costs borne by users, as well as to improve service quality in terms of user friendliness.JEL: G40, O33.

THE INDONESIA-MIDDLE EAST BUSINESS CYCLE SYNCHRONIZATION 印尼-中东经济周期同步

This study aims to analyze the business cycle synchronization (BCS) between Indonesia and 14 Middle Eastern countries and its determinants. The BCS was measured using BCS Index. The panel data was analysed using Feasible General Least Square with estimated coefficients. The results show that the Indonesia-Middle East BCS is strong in terms of index and trend. Trade openness positively and significantly affects the BCS. This study provides evidence for the endogeneity of trade relations and the BCS. Price factors, such as inflation and exchange rates, are more difficult to forecast. This information allows stakeholders to promote Indonesia’s open trade policies and liberalization in the Middle East. This study proposes an update for how Indonesia and Middle East have benefited from the openness of trade and investment that exists between them. The BCS indices and trends in the two regions are important sources for expanding their economic partnership.JEL: E32, F13, N95, C33.

DETERMINANTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF WORK-LIFE BALANCE 工作与生活平衡的决定因素和后果

The work-life balance has become an important issue in the fast-paced and demanding work environment today. This study aims to analyze the determinants and consequences of work-life balance by examining the influence of working hours and job burnout on employee well-being, with the work-life balance as a mediating variable. It involved 100 active employees from the Local Government-Owned Water Utility of Pontianak City, chosen through a purposive sampling method. The data was collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Square (SEM - PLS). The results reveal that the job burnout has a significant effect on both the work-life balance and employee well-being. However, the working hours does not have a significant effect on both the work-life balance and employee well-being. Additionally, the work-life balance has a significant effect on the employee well-being. Furthermore, this study confirms that the work-life balance is able to mediate the effect of job burnout on the employee well-being, but it is not able to mediate the effect of working hours on the employee well-being. These results provide managers and HR practitioners with insights into how to improve the employee well-being through effective working hours plans, job burnout reduction, and work-life balance programs.JEL: I31, I39.

This study aims to investigate the effect of market orientation and entrepreneurial marketing on market performance, as well as the effect of entrepreneurial marketing and market performance on business sustainability of bag craft micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This study was conducted using a descriptive-quantitative method, with eighty bag craft entrepreneurs serving as research participants. Questionnaires were used to collect data from the research participants over a period of thirty days. The data was analyzed using descriptive analysis and the structural equation modeling-partial least square (SEM-PLS). The results show that the market orientation and entrepreneurial marketing have a significant effect on the market performance, and so does the market performance on the business sustainability. However, the entrepreneurial marketing has no significant effect on the business sustainability. These findings imply that both market orientation and entrepreneurial marketing are essential determinants of the market orientation. Thus, the bag craft entrepreneurs must address these issues.JEL: M30, M31.

The growing emphasis on urban management has driven a trend toward city branding to enhance the city attractiveness. This study investigates the influence of city branding on the city’s brand identity and brand image, and tourists’ visiting decision. This study was done in a quantitative approach. The data was collected by distributing online questionnaire, targeting visitors of Yogyakarta city. A total of 216 respondents participated in this study, obtained using a purposive sampling method. The data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) in AMOS 21.0. The results show that the city branding directly influences the brand identity and visiting decision, but does not directly influence the brand image. Furthermore, the brand identity has a positive, significant and direct influence on the brand image and visiting decision. The brand identity mediates the influence of city branding on the visiting decision. The brand identity also mediates the influence of city branding on the brand image. Lastly, the brand image mediates the influence of brand identity on the visiting decision.JEL: M30, M31, M39.

This study explores the effect of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure, dividend payout ratio (DPR), and institutional ownership on firm value in Indonesia during the period of 2010 – 2021 with firm size as a moderating variable. This study examined annual data from a total sample of 58 companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange. The panel data was analyzed using a moderated regression analysis. The results demonstrate a negative and significant effect of the ESG disclosure on the firm value. This suggests that the ESG disclosure may increase company costs, resulting in a decrease in the firm value, while the DPR and institutional ownershop have a positive and significant effect as explained by the signalling theory. In addition, the moderating role of firm size on the effect of both the ESG disclosure and institutional ownership on the firm value have a positive and significant effect. These findings imply that big companies can invest in long-term ESG projects beneficial for them, while the institutional ownership on the big companies can reduce information asymmetry. However, the moderating role of firm size on the effect of DPR on firm value does not have a significant effect.JEL: G30, G32, Q01.

This study examines the impact of technology orientation on entrepreneurial orientation and its consequent effect on the innovation performance of Indonesian startups. In this study, 156 local startups were examined using the structural equation model (SEM). The results demonstrate a significant and positive relationship between innovation performance and both entrepreneurial and technology orientation. Notably, the technology orientation has a positive effect on the entrepreneurial orientation, which partially mediates the indirect relationship between the technology orientation and innovation performance. This study's integrated framework concept to enhance the innovation performance of startups in emerging economies is unprecedented. The findings also urge businesses to adopt proactive, inventive, and risk-taking practices to keep up with the rapid pace of technological advancements. Certain limitations of this study must be acknowledged, including the subjective evaluation of constructs by senior management and the deliberate selection of the sample. To advance this topic further, it is suggested that future research include objective data gathered through assessments by various stakeholders and investigate case studies of designated businesses.JEL: L25, l26, O32.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness degree and efficiency of village funds in economic development in Seteluk Atas village, West Sumbawa District in 2016-2021. The type of study used in this study was descriptive quantitative. The types of data used were quantitative and qualitative data, then the source of data in this study was secondary data. The data analysis technique used in this study was quantitative descriptive approach, namely by analyzing target data, expenditure realization and revenue using efficiency and effectiveness ratios. The results of the study showed that the effectiveness of using village funds in economic development in Seteluk Village, West Sumbawa Regency in 2016-2021 is in the less effective category. The village government has not been optimal in using village funds to realize rural economic development using village funds so that the development activities that have been carried out have not reached the set targets. The efficiency of using village funds in economic development in Seteluk Village, West Sumbawa Regency in 2016-2021 is in the very effective category. The use of village funds for rural economic development in Seteluk Village has been carried out efficiently, the output in the form of development activities that have been realized is lower than the budget input used to produce them.

This study aims to know the impact Bungin tourism village establishment on the communities economy of Sumbawa district. The type of this study was comparative study that used to compare the economy of the Pulau Bungin Village communities before and after being designated as tourist village. The total of population in this study were 3.171. The technique of determining the sample used was Slovin formula so that the numbers of samples in this study were 100. The method used to collect data was interviews. The data analysis technique used was the two-average difference test analysis technique or paired samples t-test. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there are significant differences in the economy of the people of Bungin Island Village before and after its establishment as a tourist village in Sumbawa Regency. The average economic level of the people of Bungin Island Village has increased after being designated as a tourist village compared to before being designated as a tourist village.
本研究旨在了解邦根旅游村的建立对松巴哇地区社区经济的影响。本研究的类型为比较研究,主要是比较本根岛村社区在被指定为旅游村之前和之后的经济状况。本研究总人数为3.171人。样品的确定采用斯洛文公式,故本研究样品数量为100个。收集数据的方法是访谈。使用的数据分析技术为双平均差异检验分析技术或配对样本t检验。根据已经完成的研究结果,可以得出结论,本根岛村在成为松巴哇县的旅游村之前和之后,人们的经济存在显着差异。被指定为旅游村后,邦根岛村居民的平均经济水平比被指定为旅游村之前有所提高。

ANALISIS SWOT DALAM MENINGKATKAN DAYA SAING PASAR TRADISIONAL DI KABUPATEN SUMBAWA 提高苏姆巴瓦地区传统市场竞争力的斯沃特分析

This study aims to determine the strategy in increasing the competitiveness of traditional markets in Sumbawa Regency using SWOT analysis. The type of research used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The type of data used by researchers in this study is qualitative obtained directly from research informants. The informants in this study were all parties directly involved in the management of the Brang Biji traditional market, consisting of the Head of the Cooperative and MSME Services in Sumbawa Regency, market managers and traders at the Brang Biji traditional market. The primary data used in this study was collected using a structured interview method to be studied using a SWOT analysis. The results of this study indicate that the SWOT analysis in increasing the competitiveness of the Brang Biji traditional market is in quadrant I. The strategy that can be applied in this condition is to support aggressive policies (growth oriented strategy). There are four alternative strategies generated through SWOT analysis to increase the competitiveness of the Brang Biji traditional market, namely the SO strategy which is carried out by utilizing existing strengths and opportunities, the ST strategy which is carried out by utilizing strengths to overcome the threats faced, the WO strategy which is carried out by minimizing weaknesses to be able to take advantage of opportunities, and WT strategies that are carried out by minimizing weaknesses and threats.
