The onset of intellectual disability is marked by impairment of all parts that contribute to an individual's intelligence, such as the functions of socialization, knowledge, speech, and motor function. Intellectual disability is also defined, involving significant limitations in both intellectual functioning and adaptive behavior, which cover many daily social, motor, and practical skills. The most commonly accepted definition of intellectual disability is that provided by AAIDD: “Intellectual disability is a disability characterized by significant reductions in both mental functioning and adaptive behavior, covering many daily social and practical skills. This disability originates before the age of 18.”

The research of the specialized literature was done both traditionally and online. Study the bibliographic sources were accessed from related fields that provide theoretical information on the selection and identification of talents in sports. The search criteria included books, articles or doctoral theses, educational sources, medical and psychological studies, empirical or theoretical research. Selection concepts, criteria and means of selection in sports for different age levels have been identified. For high performance sports, the most talented professional athletes are selected from practitioners who reach the threshold of maximum performance capacity at the age level at which they manifest or who meet the requirements imposed by large-scale competitions in which they participate.

"The purpose of the study was to identify the optimal physical training means and their influence on the power indicators of the female gymnasts. The study was conducted on a sample of 13 female athletes (32.97±5.72 kg and 140.8±9.2 cm) practicing artistic gymnastics, aged between 10 – 12 years (11.15±0.8 years), at performance level. The physical tests performed were as follows: standing long jump, stahl bar semi-squats, push-ups at the beam, pike position on the beam, extensions on the gym bench, and handstands. Following the analysis of the results, it has been concluded that the effects of the means proposed by us are statistically significant in case of all events (p=˂0.0001)."

Amputations of limbs, in terms of traumatic pediatric afflictions, are sparse, but severe indispositions that can become very uncomfortable for the ones involved. The role of the orthopedic or the plastic surgeon is crucial here, for she or he needs to preserve as much as possible from the viable physis in order for the bond development of the child to still happen. In following steps, a wound examination should be done to check for symptoms of ischemia or tissue non-viability. Some problems, such as neuromas, can be avoided by dividing the nerves proximally. A multidisciplinary approach involving physiotherapists, play therapists, and a child psychiatrist, in addition to the surgeon and primary care practitioners, may lead to a successful recovery.

Martial arts designate a group of disciplines based on combat techniques, practiced worldwide for sports, self-defence, and improving physical and mental fitness. Qwan Ki Do is a complex Vietnamese martial art that responds to the needs of spiritual and physical development through several forms of manifestation, such as: Song Dao (fighting techniques with one or multiple opponents), Thao Quyen (sequences of fighting techniques individual execution), Co Vo Dao (sequences of fighting techniques with the help of traditional weapons, performed individually or with a partner), Tam The (psychobody gymnastics). This study focuses on the presentation and illustration of the most used arm techniques in the Qwan Ki Do method. The benefits of practicing the martial art Qwan Ki Do are analysed at the end of the study.

The formation of physical culture from an early age in the family, leaves its decisive imprint on the whole life of people, positively influencing development fortified through school-family collaboration, focused on the education of parents and students, in during the low school. In this research we aim to determine the foundations theoretical-applied of the formation of the physical culture of the family and their capitalization in education family. Through the theoretical approach we are going to prove that this can be successfully achieved only when the educational institution initiates, trains and guides parents in the intended direction, collaborating with the family pertinently and systematically

This study aimed to analyze various conceptions of approaching flat feet in children, trying to highlight the similarities and the differences between the theoretical and clinical approaches of the rigid and flexible flat feet. Although they have much in common, it was not possible to clearly determine a national or international standard framework of assessment and measurement of flat feet in children. The researchers studied for this paper offered guidelines for measurement, various theories, assessment approaches and relevant scientific arguments, however it is still not possible to delineate a common line for standardization in regard to measurement and assessment

Taekwondo is one of the most complex sports, so all motor skills are important for this practice. Although Taekwondo has gained increasing importance in the modern age, recognizing its positive effects on the harmonious development of the child and young person, the beneficial combination of Taekwondo and Tae-Bo, still does not enjoy enough attention from specialists. We will prove through this research, coming up with something new in the world of sports, that Tae-Bo, which is based on Taekwondo and Boxing, can bring benefits to all practitioners, such as the development of motor skills, through a program designed especially for athletes aged 10-11 years.

An important skill in today's volleyball game is dynamic and static balance, so our investigation focused on assessing and developing balance at young volleyball players using the Y balance test. The sample was formed by 25 female volleyball players with age between 10.22 ± 2.49 years that were active at the ACS Alpha Sport Team from Sibiu. The results showed improved performances of our players from the initial testing compared with the final testing in all directions of movement, proving that balance skill training can be an important aspect in the modern volleyball game
