The use of yellow mealworms in common food products 黄粉虫在普通食品中的应用

In many cultures around the world, eating insects is a traditional practice known as entomophagy. In general, it has been discovered that insects are very nutrient-dense and good sources of protein, fat, minerals, vitamins and energy. Given their high nutritional value and minimal impact on the environment, edible insects are increasingly being recognized as potential sources of food for humans.  The green light for using edible insects was given for the following species - Tenebrio molitor, Acheta domesticus, Alphitobius diaperinus and Locusta migratoria. Out of them Tenebrio molitor is the most widely researched and used species.  Considering many of the potential uses of Tenebrio molitor in commercial food, this paper will summarize the potential of their use in food such as bread, meat products and sauces. This paper will also provide an overview of the nutritional value of dried Tenebrio molitor.

The 8th International Congress “Engineering, Environment and Materials in Process Industry” – EEM2023 is organized by the Faculty of Technology Zvornik, University of East Sarajevo. The focus of this event is a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach to current issues concerning sustainable development, environment protection and process industry, with the aim of developing new projects and exploiting new technologies for sustainable applications. The congress aims to help researchers, scientists and academia to discover new directions in research, development and education, by providing an overview of the state-of-the art findings and trends in the field and offering a platform for the exchange of ideas.

Titanium dioxide photocatalyst: Present situation and future approaches 二氧化钛光催化剂的现状及发展方向

Scientific studies on photocatalysis began about three decades ago. Titanium dioxide (TiO2) has emerged as an excellent photocatalyst material for environmental purification. In this brief review, we will explain some fundamental studies on TiO2 photocatalysis, summarize the current commercialization of TiO2-based products, and highlight several points for the future development of TiO2 photocatalysis.

Moth Luna (Actias luna)

The Luna moth (Actias luna) is American Moon Moth also known as the Nearctic moth of the family Saturniidae, subfamily Saturniinae, a group recognized as the giant silk moth. The Luna moth is found east of the Great Plains in the United States from Florida to Maine, North America, and Saskatchewan east through central Quebec to Nova Scotia, Canada. Luna moths are rarely found as vagrants in Western Europe. In June 1987, Luna moth appeared on a United States First Class postage stamp. Within two dozen butterflies have been honored in postage stamps, this was the only moth. This remarkable critter is recognizable by its wings. But, the most interesting thing about Luna Moth is that this insect doesn’t have a digestive system or a mouth. It lives only for about a week after leaving the cocoon and never eats.

Monitoring of tritium in surface waters in PC, Nuclear facilities of Serbia 塞尔维亚PC核设施地表水氚含量监测

The isotope of hydrogen, tritium, is a radioactive isotope, in most cases it is found bonded to molecules that replace hydrogen. It can be found in nature as a product interactions of cosmic radiation with air or atmospheric molecules nitrogen, such tritium is natural. There is also anthropogenic tritium that contributes increased levels of natural tritium. Artificially produced tritium is produced in testing of nuclear weapons, in the operation of nuclear power plants and processing nuclear fuel. This paper will describe the methods of tritium detection liquid scintillation detector Quantulus 1220 by direct method in duration of 300 minutes at the Department of Nuclear Physics. Surface water samples with tritium was taken from the location of PC Nuclear facilities of Serbia from the Mlaka stream. The monitoring recorded an increase in tritium content at two locations, which indicates failures of nuclear waste storage.

As called immortal jellyfish species, the Benjamin Button of the deep, which can age backward and silently fall into the world's oceans, swarm by swarm. This jellyfish can transform from an adult into a baby, but unlike Benjamin Button, the jellyfish can do it repeatedly. In the Mediterranean Sea, this immortal jellyfish (Turritopsis dohrnii) was discovered in 1883. Its unique ability was discovered in the 1990s. It regularly reverts into a sexually immature stage after reproduction and when injured or starved. The only way it can die is to be eaten, removed from the water, or infected.

Surviving sepsis: Raising awareness to reduce mortality 幸存败血症:提高认识以降低死亡率

The sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction caused by a dysregulated host response to infection. Septic shock and sepsis are key healthcare problems, impacting millions worldwide each year and killing statistically around one in three and one in six affected people. Sepsis outcomes could be improved by early identification and appropriate management in the initial hours after infection. Therefore, raising awareness for the clinician caring for adult patients with sepsis or septic shock is essential to reduce mortality caused by this disease.

Empirical Study of GRIT w.r.t, Higher Secondary Student 《中学生自主学习能力的实证研究》

Students of teen age have different perceptions towards their career. GRIT means consistency and focus to achieve their goals in spite of hurdles. To find how much current generation is aware and keen for their future GRIT has been studied. In this study we focused on higher secondary students of age 16 to 18, to find out their perceptions towards career and life satisfaction. What is the role of GRIT in achieving their aims in career?  The research is based on primary data collected through a structured questionnaire from the students of class XI and XII. This study is to analyze the behavior of students towards their walks of life and design.  To test the hypothesis, Normality, Reliability, Independent t-test and ANOVA were use on the data collected with the questionnaire.

The role of multimedia in understanding extremely small and large numbers in chemistry education 多媒体在化学教学中对极小数和大数的理解作用

The aim of this research was to investigate the presence of difficulties in understanding extremely small and extremely large numbers during learning the concepts of mole and atom in students of elementary school, as well as to investigate the effects of multimedia applications to overcome this problem. The sample comprised 125 elementary school students from Novi Sad, Serbia (aged 13-14). Difficulties to understand small and large numbers related to concepts of mole and atoms were identified. In the control group of students, the traditional teaching approach was applied; experimental group multimedia was used in teaching. The obtained results indicate that students had difficulties in learning the above-mentioned concept of the mole. When multimedia material was used, it contributed to the higher academic achievement of students in overcoming issues related to atomic sizes and masses, constant, definition of a mole, and visualization of the given amount of samples of different substances.

Adamov, Stanko Cvjetićanin, Mirjana Maričić","doi":"10.59783/aire.2023.26","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.59783/aire.2023.26","url":null,"abstract":"The aim of this research was to investigate the presence of difficulties in understanding extremely small and extremely large numbers during learning the concepts of mole and atom in students of elementary school, as well as to investigate the effects of multimedia applications to overcome this problem. The sample comprised 125 elementary school students from Novi Sad, Serbia (aged 13-14). Difficulties to understand small and large numbers related to concepts of mole and atoms were identified. In the control group of students, the traditional teaching approach was applied; experimental group multimedia was used in teaching. The obtained results indicate that students had difficulties in learning the above-mentioned concept of the mole.
