Position Estimation Technique of a Switched Reluctance Motor at Standstill 开关磁阻电机静止状态位置估计技术

This paper proposes the rotor-position estimation technique for a switched reluctance machine (SRM). This technique can be implemented with the system with an incremental encoder or sensorless system. The results are the proper starting phase and exact starting rotor position. The phase winding is energized by the narrow voltage pulse then phase currents are detected and calculated to find the rotor position by using the cubic spline interpolation technique. The proper phase is chosen for a starting phase. This proposed idea is done in the MATLAB/Simulink program.

Single-Stage Voltage Source Charge Pump Electronic Ballast with Switched-Capacitor Dimmer for Multiple Fluorescent Lamps 带开关电容调光器的单级电压源电荷泵电子镇流器,适用于多个荧光灯

This paper presents a single-stage electronic ballast for driving multiple fluorescent lamps in which a dimming control scheme is proposed to regulate the lamp current. A laboratory prototype is built and tested, and it is found that unity power factor can remain under individual lamp brightness control. The experimental results are therefore shown to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.

Economic Analysis of Microgrids 微电网的经济分析

In Japan, three national field tests of microgrid were started in 2005. These projects are trying to demonstrate technical feasibility of microgrids with renewable energy, but economic and environmental benefits have not been shown yet. The economic evaluation of the microgrids is still challenging. This paper presents a methodology for economic design and optimal operation of microgrids with renewable energy sources. Numerical examples are illustrated to show the optimal configuration of a microgrid.

Line Loss Minimum Control of Loop Distribution Systems Using UPFC 基于UPFC的环路配电系统线损最小控制

This paper presents an elaborated mathematical analysis of the line loss minimum condition of loop distribution systems. In order to achieve this condition, the unified power flow controller (UPFC), a typical FACTS (flexible AC transmission systems) device that is capable of instantaneous control of transmission and distribution power flow, is used. Also, the available control schemes of the UPFC to minimize the total line loss of the loop distribution system are presented. The authors propose the line inductance compensation control and the line voltage compensation control which can be applied to the loop distribution system according to the line parameters. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme, line inductance compensation control, has been verified experimentally using laboratory prototype in a 200 V, 6 kVA system.

This paper presents a novel phase shifted ZVS-PWM high frequency load resonant inverter for electromagnetic induction fluid heating (IH) appliances. The proposed high frequency inverter can be achieved stable and efficient zero voltage soft commutation over a widely specified power regulation range from full power to low power by using an active auxiliary quasi resonant snubber. The steady state operating performance of this inverter is evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results for IH dual-packs heater (DPH) of compact fluid heating appliance. Finally, the effectiveness of IH application of the proposed high frequency inverter with auxiliary active quasi-resonant snubber is demonstrated from the practical point of view.

Considerations for Developing a Highly Efficient, High-power Shortwave AM Transmitter 开发高效、大功率短波调幅发射机的考虑

This paper describes a study on high power short-wave AM transmitter with high efficiency. First, we fabricated a new power amplifier operating at short-wave band (3M-30MHz) using RF MOSFETs and a new output circuit for obtaining high efficiency. Next, we proposed a new power combiner with excellent linearity by tuning the transmitter output circuit including stray capacitance and inductance. In addition, we proposed an evolutional short-wave AM transmitter since conventional MF band digital AM modulation method can not be introduced because of losses caused by parasitic diode of RF MOSFETs.

Series Connected Power Flow Control using Magnetic Energy Recovery Switch (MERS) 利用磁能回收开关(MERS)串联连接的潮流控制

A new series connected power flow controller, called the magnetic energy recovery switch, has been investigated. It is characterized by four active switches and a dc-capacitor in each phase. The device is capable of injecting up to rated voltage within the current rating. It behaves similar to a controllable voltage source and a variable capacitor connected in series. A control algorithm has been developed in order to facilitate power flow control with these combined characteristics. Experimental results suggest the MERS to be a promising new power flow controller.

DC Voltage Control of the DC Micro-grid for Super High Quality Distribution 面向超高质量配电的直流微电网直流电压控制

DC micro-grid is a novel super high quality electric power system. The power is transmitted through dc distribution line and converted to required ac or dc voltages by converters placed near loads. Those load side converters do not need transformers by choosing proper dc distribution voltage (plusmn170 V). The dc power line is composed of 3 wires: +170 V line, neutral line and -170 V line. The distribution voltages have to be balanced to keep high quality power supplying. In this paper, a voltage balancer for dc distribution are proposed and studied. Computer simulation results demonstrated that dc micro-grid was able to supply both ac and dc power to loads simultaneously and stably by 3-wire dc distribution line and load side converters. In addition, another voltage balancer (dc/dc converter type) is also proposed and studied in the last section.

In traction control systems, it is generally required to detect vehicle speed in order to obtain the slip ratio. However, it is very difficult to measure vehicle speed directly. In this paper, novel estimation method of slip ratio is proposed without detecting the vehicle speed. The simulations and experiments both of slip ratio estimation and control are carried out by an electric vehicle to verify the proposed algorithm.
