This paper presents a suggested workable model for designing and implementing electronic teaching objects for the Holy Quran and related sciences, such as: tilawah (recitation), tafseer (interpretation), and tajweed (intonation). The developed objects can be used to perform some practices such as tahfeez (memorization) of the Holy Quran. The model represents a systematic approach for implementing Quranic contents using utilizable and accessible presentation-based developing tools that are basically employ animations and computer graphics. This approach can be followed by teachers and instructors of the Holy Quran and related sciences who are considered as matter-experts, but they are deficient in the technological expertise due to lack of specialization. The design includes educational and training contents, as well as evaluations. The model supports teachers and learners of the Holy Quran to achieve the educational goals in an attainable manner. The method of implementation discussed here can be adopted for delivering e-courses of Quranic contents to students or learners of the Holy Quran and related sciences. The designed teaching objects have the features of easiness of use and possibility of sharing among instructors and learners of the Holy Quran. Other features are rapidness of implementation and relative low cost. The objects can be integrated in an e-learning environment, or it can be distributed over an internal computer network or the Internet. The use of the teaching objects can significantly enhance the teaching of the Holy Quran and related sciences.

Tajweed is an Arabic word which defined as a correct pronunciation during recitation. Conceptually, tajweed is a set of rules which dictates how the Quran should be recited. Reciting Quran with incorrect tajweed will affect the meaning of the verse. Many Muslims have difficulties to recite Quran in a proper way following the tajweed rules. In this research, an online game prototype for basic tajweed rules is proposed. Online Social Network framework is applied in order to model the prototype which later can be executed under Facebook social network environment. The prototype is developed in an online game mood and this will give an added early exposure of the tajweed rules to the children. The online game acts as an extra means to enrich their understanding from a formal learning of a basic tajweed rules. As a final product, a simple, fun, interactive yet informative Tajweed Race online game is developed.

This paper demonstrates the concept of applied and embedded system design for authentic Quran propagation within a single-chip by embedding the digital Quran content onto an ARM micro controller that provides programming and playing capabilities for the publisher/manufacturer with only playing/reading functionality for end-user devices. Significantly, such functionality can be easily deployed by integrating the Quran-on-Chip (QoC) subsystem within future multimedia product designs or via USB communications for present devices. Quran multimedia content is embedded/programmed using the Embedded-C language, with the advantage that the developed program is also compatible for embedding in other micro controller architectures. Significantly, this paper presents a complete framework for the QoC design approach with the results of implementation being demonstrated. Finally, an outlook into the prospect of embedded-system design for multimedia Quran dissemination shall be explored with comments on challenges and opportunities for future work.

This study aims to assess existing sites specialized in teaching the Holy Quran in the light of what has been reached from the educational and technical standards and design a reference website in the light of these criteria. The study used the descriptive analytical approach where the study selected, in a deliberate manner, five sample sites from websites of charities for the memorization of the Quran administered under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawa'a and Guidance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The tools of the studywere a survey form to evaluate teaching and learning sites of Quran on the Internet in the light of the educational and technical standards that have been reached, and personal interviews. Therefore, using frequencies and percentages, the output of the study was the development of a list of educational and technical standards to evaluate the Quran education sites from the viewpoint of experts and specialists. After the investigation of these standards on Quran learning and teaching sites it has been concluded that the availability of educational standards is much less than 50% and that a large proportion of educational standards are not available on the websites teaching the Holy Quran selected for this study. In the light of this ratio it can be concluded that these websites are weak in their educational content. On the other hand, the availability of technical standards in these sites is more than 50%. Therefore, in the light of this ratio it can be judged that these sites are technically acceptable. As a result of this study, a reference site according to the educational and technical standards was developed for teaching the Holy Quran. Thus, the study concluded with a set of recommendations, these are: to take advantage of educational and technical standards when designing sites for teaching the Holy Quran on the Internet, and the need for an educational monitoring body to oversee the design of sites for teaching the Holy Quran on the Internet to ensure conformity with the aspects of scientific, educational, andtechnical. In addition, the study proposes conducting similar studies in order to identify the effectiveness of Quran teaching sites designed in accordance with educational and technical standards.

There are several types of institutions which provide private Quran instruction in Turkey. The most prevail of institutions are Imam-Hatip High Schools and private Quran courses. Also, after the changes in educational system in 2012, optional Quran courses have been made available to all students in elementary schools. In addition, there is a mandatory course entitled Religious Culture and Moral Education in schools. However, teaching Quran is not a part of course content. Rather, it aims to teach individuals cultural, religious, and moral values. Also, within this course, students are required to learn short surahs and duas for prayer and their Turkish meanings. However, while teaching/learning these surahs and duas, teachers and students face many difficulties. Specifically, students who do not know Arabic have to memorize those surahs and duas that are written by using letters from Latin Alphabet, which causes incorrect readings phonetically. Also, this course is given two hours per week, thus, it is difficult for teachers to focus on each student and correct mis-readings. In this study, based on the problems mentioned above, an instructional material was designed to help students learn short surahs and duas for prayer. Elementary school students' development level and features of interactive whiteboards were considered while designing the software. The software consists of three levels. The first level aims to teach students surahs and duas in Arabic by listening and watching. The second level focuses on their meanings. The third level is devoted for sustainability through practices. Students who get to the third level have to answer some filling-the-gap and drag & drop questions, matching the meanings with surahs/duas, and similar activities.

The extraction of Quranic knowledge is a challenging task since the Quran is different from human literature. The unique arrangement of its texts has made the task of directly accessing its meaning, which is rich in its linguistics and multi-layered meanings, difficult if done without the use of other resources such as the Hadith. Hence, this paper describes the extraction of the first layer and the use of natural language pattern in extracting the knowledge of Quranic English translation texts using natural language processing techniques. Evaluation is performed using the true positive, false positive and false negative metrics and encouraging results have been obtained.

The Holy Quran is considered one of the most studied books along the human history. In fact, until now, scholars and researchers continue to treat it from various specialties: quranic jurisprudence, rhetoric, grammar ... what is called the Quranic sciences. In the same way, we aim through this work to add a new contribution by designing a model that can absorb and organize all the information relating to the quranic grammar. The model is based on XML language for more flexibility and compatibility with various systems and environment. We will explain the principles on which the model is based, and we will present a graphical interface to concretize its use.

Cloud computing is a new concept which combines different technologies like: service oriented architecture, distributed computing, virtualization... It represents a model used to deliver IT capabilities. In cloud computing, everything is provided as a service. We distinguish three main services: Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The management of cloud computing resources in IaaS level is a very difficult task to achieve for the service provider. For example, in a simple cloud computing system which is composed of one data center, we easily find thousands of physical resources that are virtualized in millions of virtual resources. So, the manager needs an automatic solution to supervise the whole system in order to avoid or to minimize the human intervention or implication. Consequently, we propose in this paper a solution to this problem based on Agent technology which can offer an automatic management of the cloud system by doing a quick adaptation once a new situation appears. This work is in fact composed of two parts: the description of the agent system and the implementation.
