The socio-cultural life of the Osing in Kemiren Village always interplays with their social activities and interactions, both among local people and travelers who come to visit the village. To accommodate these various activities, the Osing uses communal buildings, such as the Pesantogan Kemangi and two cultural houses: the Sukosari and the Osing. Data from the field reveals that the traditional house is a reference for creating communal buildings. The study aims to disclose the transformation process in spatial patterns and forms that occurs in communal facilities. It discusses a set of combination parts of traditional houses that create communal buildings. A qualitative inquiry was carried out the study with the ethnography approach. The result shows that socio-spatial transformation occurs in a dynamic change of communal activities that affect new architectural models of the public buildings. The transformation includes dimensional spatial patterns and building shapes, reduction, and additional spaces and components. Finally, the study contributes to being a reference for future research in the traditional architecture of the Osing. Both the local government and people work organized in preserving traditional architectural values as a pearl of local wisdom. Therefore, it supports and encourages tourism programs in Kemiren Village towards a socially sustainable community.

Tourism has now developed into one of the largest industries in various parts of the world by providing many benefits in each sector In addition this study also aims to determine whether there is an influence of the perception of tourists in the Jolotundo area as an ecotourism attraction in the village of Seloliman. Ethnography was used to conduct this study. Qualitative data related to local wisdom were obtained through several techniques. Interview and observation were used to gain the main data, while secondary data were taken from related document analysis. The result The most frequent activity of visitors to Jolotundo is at night. On certain nights, such as on the full moon night, Friday night legi , 1 muharram night, and on the night of one Suro . On that night Jolotundo was full of pilgrims, many thousands of pilgrims came to hold rituals with a specific purpose. Every day the Jolotundo temple is crowded by visitors. Many of them are carrying out activities in the temple. Every activity carried out by the community varies depending on their desires and beliefs. Some visitors who come to Petirtaan Jolotundo also have a need for recreation "refreshing the mind" and can also be used for study tours because the natural panorama of Petirtaan Jolotundo tourism is indeed very beautiful and cool on the western slope of Mount Penanggungan, so it also right to refresh the mind. The to'-oto’ a tradition is an event held by the community to return bhubuwan's money (money given at weddings). Each implemented certainly has different perceptions of to’-oto’ that have been entrenched. This is the main problem that researchers want to know. This research uses a qualitative research method with a phenomenal research model to look deeper into the psychological meaning of an individual’s experience of the to’-oto’ tradition. The results showed that the tradition of to’-oto’ was perceived as a means of returning savings due to the necessities of life, a means of tightening the silaturrahim rope of both the head of the family in the village or outside the village, one form of “tasyakuran” (salvation) and as a form of tradition that the community runs. DOI: https://doi.org/10.26905/lw.v11i2.2961
