Reconversion is a set of projects aimed at soldiers who are discharged or have already been discharged from military service being. These actions also apply to family members of soldiers who died while performing the duties of their service. These projects are associated with retraining, career counselling, employment agency services and work placement. They are intended to assist people eligible for help in finding employment. Thanks to the results analysed, recommendations were presented regarding the reconversion of the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, allowing the competence potential of soldiers at retirement age to be used. In order to be able to use the competence potential of retired officers on the civilian labour market, there is a need to improve solutions for developing their potential. This is justified by the aim of the work, which is as follows: the analysis of activities undertaken within the framework of the reconversion of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland and the presentation of the personnel of proposals for the development and use of the competence potential of Polish Army officers in the context of employment at retirement age. The research question was formulated in the form of a question: What measures should be taken in the course of reconverting the Armed Forces personnel in order to use the competence potential of officers after reaching retirement age? The research was carried out primarily with the method of analysis and criticism of the literature. Heuristic and comparative methods were also used, as well as equally important quantitative method – a questionnaire addressed to retired officers of the Polish Army was employed.

The article presents a summary of knowledge on the research and metrological problems related to the assessment of features and parameters of weapon systems. The basic metrological problem of research laboratories evaluating weapon systems is related to the constant search for new solutions, building unique test stands and seeking metrological equipment with higher accuracy classes than the equipment of military weapon systems which is subject to assessment. This is very difficult for the military technology to perform, even impossible in many cases. Significant research problems raised in the article also concern the study of descriptive and functional features which are not addressed by metrology. The article is an introduction to the commencement of works on the extension of metrology related to measurements and evaluation of the results obtained in research laboratories during the implementation of procedures related to the testing of descriptive and functional indicators. The information included in the article may be a source of knowledge for both the personnel of military laboratories and the personnel of civilian laboratories.

The paper illustrates how social media marketing and analytics can assist businesses in achieving branding objectives by increasing their social media impact through advertising, getting social, using appropriate keywords, and creating effective and interactive communication channels with their intended audience. The multifaceted influence of social media postings is demonstrated by leveraging the Toyota Motor Corporation example. An explanation of how defamatory incidents have impacted the company’s social media atmospheric image is also included. Evidence of how negative intervals of social media presence could have been intelligently reversed through efficient content infusions is presented. Among numerous instruments allowing for analysis of marketing strategy results, “Social Mention”, “Talkwalker” and “Mentiolytics” were selected in order to demonstrate the efficiency and utility of social media monitoring methods using freely available tools. In this study, Toyota’s social media marketing strategy is highlighted by presenting measurements of variables such as the reach, strength, passion and sentiment of the brand over randomly selected time windows, demonstrating the dynamically evolving field of social media monitoring techniques.

The aim of this article is to draw attention to the growing problem of cybersecurity in the field of autonomous vehicles. A notable aspect is the use of autonomous vehicles to enhance the quality of decision-making processes as well as flexibility and efficiency. The implementation of new solutions will lead to improvements not just in transportation and delivery, but also in warehouse management. The growing demand for autonomous solutions, both in the industry and in the daily life of an average consumer, necessitates efforts to ensure their safe operation and use. The present literature review synthetically describes the history of the development of autonomous vehicles and machines. The standards and norms that should be met by products allowed for use as well as threats to cybersecurity, along with examples, are presented herein. The analysis of the collected materials leads to the conclusion that with the development of new technologies and the growth in the importance of autonomous solutions, the number of threats and the importance of systems securing the functioning of devices in cyberspace are increasing. Research on the problem also leads to the conclusion that legal systems do not fully keep up with technological developments, resulting in a lack of normative acts regulating this matter.

Based on the analysis of the source literature and his own experiences, he defines the concept of authority and interprets its types. In the context of reflections on the subject of authority, he also defines the concepts of command and leadership and indicates the positive consequences of liberating authority but also to the negative implications of authoritarian management of subordinates.

This article is a continuation of the considerations regarding the use of field artillery in Ukraine’s defensive war in the period from 24th February 2022 to the 2023 summer offensive of the Ukrainian army. Artillery in this armed conflict is used by both sides with great intensity and is an essential means of fire support, often decisive for the success of the implemented operations. The aim of the second part of the article is to present ways of using field artillery units in selected operations of the Ukrainian war. As before, the subject of the research is the missile forces and artillery of the warring parties, but in this case, above all, the way they carry out their tasks. In his research, the author wants to answer the following problematic questions: How did the field artillery units of both parties involved in the conflict carry out combat tasks in selected phases of the war? What conclusions can be drawn from this for the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, which are currently increasing their capabilities, especially their artillery capabilities, as well as for other NATO armies? The Author, an artillery officer by education and currently a military academic teacher academically involved in the issue of state military security, based his academic analysis largely on his personal academic achievements and conclusions gained from participating in military exercises, conversations, and workshops conducted with Ukrainian officers before the outbreak of the war, as well as on the latest academic studies and reports on the course of warfare.

The war which broke out on February 24, 2022, as a result of the military aggression of Russian Federation against Ukraine once again shattered the state of relative peace in Europe and reevaluated the perception of threats, shifting focus from non-military threats to military ones. Thus, the issue of the readiness of the state, including the readiness of its military forces acting as its armed wing, for another potential military conflict came to the forefront of all discussions conducted in the political, scientific and social world. Events on the international arena coincided with measures undertaken as part of the Ministry of National Defence. These consist primarily in increasing the number of soldiers in the Polish Army (ultimately up to 300,000 soldiers), increasing combat capacity through modernisation and purchasing modern armament, as well as improving combat capabilities, as assumed by the Development Program of the Armed Forces for 2017-2026. It is worth noticing that the process focuses not only on supplying the army with modern equipment, but also on shaping in soldiers those features that will be useful both in peacetime and in wartime. What is meant here is soldier duties understood as fulfilment of a certain moral obligations to the Homeland, nation, as well as both military and civil environment. Duties can also be understood in the context of a specific vocation, mission, or responsibility to be fulfilled towards those who established a particular entity, in this case the Polish Army, to fulfil tasks prescribed by law and put their trust in them. In the course of the research, the soldier duties which are relevant to the process of building the ethos of military service and the way in which these duties should be shaped were identified.

The aim of the research conducted in this publication was an attempt to identify the reasons for numerous resignations from participation in employee capital plans among people living in the area of Central Pomerania in Poland.The theoretical research method was used in the research process – an analysis of the research literature (using the content analysis technique), individual in-depth interviews, and statistical data.According to the research, the respondents have an unfavourable opinion on employee capital plans due to low trust in the government, legal stability, and a relatively low level of knowledge on saving for their future retirement benefits.

The study presented here attempts to draw a synoptical comparison of the modern principles of operational camouflage through military deception. The research problem adopted encompasses the practical employment of disinformation and deception in an appropriate and inappropriate manner. The first part of the article contains an attempt to briefly present the current theoretical assumptions related to operational deception, including disinformation. The second part is dedicated to an arbitrarily selected examples from the history of the 20th-century warfare. The third part comprises conclusions and references of the theoretical assumptions to selected examples of armed struggle. The article contains two fundamental conclusions. The first one is the possibility of gaining an advantage at every operational level, especially at the tactical level, through employment of deception. The research problem adopted encompasses the practical employment of disinformation and deception in an appropriate and inappropriate manner. The first part of the article contains an attempt to briefly present the current theoretical assumptions related to operational deception, including disinformation. The second part is dedicated to an arbitrarily selected examples from the history of the 20th-century warfare. The third part comprises conclusions and references of the theoretical assumptions to selected examples of armed struggle. The article contains two fundamental conclusions. The first one is the possibility of gaining an advantage at every operational level, especially at the tactical level, through employment of deception.
