Love is a narrative that takes a defined form, even in lived experiences. This raises the question of whether same-sex love that follows the traditional romance narrative can be rightfully considered queer. Arab Muslims live in a society strongly tied to Islamic restrictions where the subject of homosexuality is strictly forbidden and considered taboo. The ideal of being loved and loving someone almost universally aspired to. This paper examines the definition of love, provides insight into the perspectives on love from sociologists Durkheim, Marx, Sorokin, and Parson, and analyzes queer love in Indonesia. Through four short narratives, this study aims to gain a deeper understanding of love for both heterosexual and homosexual individuals. The research employs a qualitative method, and the interviews were limited to four participants aged between 35 and 45 from Jakarta. The study affords participants considerable freedom in answering the provided questions. I conduct interviews at various locations such as shopping malls, restaurants, and coffee shops, following the interviewees' preferences. Referring to the wave of digital feminism in the modern era, this paper formulates the problem of South Korea's digital feminism strategy in reconstructing Confucianism culture with respect to morality. The study aims to analyze the development of digital feminist activist morality in South Korea against the background of a Confucian society and rapid economic growth. Of the numerous online feminist activist groups, Megalia and Womand have garnered attention from several feminist scholars. Moreover, later Webtoon comic artists incorporated feminist ideologies into their comic narratives. Based on Andrew Heywood's cultural conflict and identity politics perspective, as well as political morality in realism, the author has identified two crucial findings. First, the three of them operate from a realistic perspective that excludes Confucian morality as a factor in their decision making. Second, Megalia and Womand tend to exhibit radical behavior due to their exclusive focus on identity politics. This contrasts with Webtoon, which creates comics driven by economic interests, resulting in more moderate behavior and a preference for cultural distribution.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and other diverse identities (LGBTQ+) continue to be an emerging issue in the 21st century worldwide. Studies have examined factors that predict attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community with varying results. This study focuses on investigating religiosity, social media, and sexual orientation as predictors of attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community amongst residents in Nigeria. The survey employs a cross-sectional design and uses purposive sampling to select three Local Government Areas. Data were collected from 202 participants using four validated scales. The collected data were analyzed through zero-order correlation, t-test of independent sample, and multiple regression analysis. The study tested four hypotheses at a significance level of p 0.05, revealing that religiosity, social media, and sexual orientation jointly predicted attitudes towards LGBTQ+ community. The findings reveal that both religiosity and sexual orientation significantly affected attitudes toward LGBTQ+. In contrast, attitudes towards LGBTQ+ were not influenced by social media. This study's novelty lies in uncovering how people's beliefs, values, cultures, and principles center on their attitudes towards the LGBTQ+ community. It is recommended that the government and various institutions increase public awareness regarding LGBTQ+ issues to guide parents, adolescents, youth, and the public towards improved societal acceptance.

In the digital age, flexing culture may have become a virtual tradition in which people display their possessions and express their conspicuous consumption behaviors on social media. Within the platform, the commodities attached to their bodies and the services they post indicate multiple meanings such as gaining social recognition, building body image, negotiating selfbranding, finding self-pleasure and self-satisfaction, demonstrating selfactualization, and gaining more financial benefits. This practice is common on social media, including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. This study explores flexing culture by referring to Indonesian content creators who display their extra wealth on their social media accounts. This is qualitative research with a cultural studies approach, using Jean Baudrillard's theory of consumer society and Thorstein Veblen's conspicuous consumption. The result shows that flexing culture on social media is an ideal place to express social identity by displaying luxury fashion brands and services. Flexing culture increasingly spreads and constructs a space for virtual competition. Moreover, it is becoming a strategy for the social hierarchy to fight and differentiate itself from the other classes. The social behavior of today's society shows something intended to be offensive through the manipulation of signs and symbolic values.

Although women make up half of Pakistan's population, their participation in politics has historically been limited. While women today are more politically active and articulate than in the past, their involvement is still hindered by various factors, including patriarchal structures, a genderbiased socio-cultural environment, and a conservative interpretation of Islam. This study utilizes qualitative methods to assess the participation of women as voters and candidates by examining the roles of far-right (Jamaate-Islami), central (Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek-eInsaf) and left (Pakistan People Party Parliamentarian) political parties in the 2008, 2013, and 2018 elections. Relevant secondary sources, including the selected parties' manifestos, have been analyzed through content analysis to establish the appropriate context. The research findings indicate that although regulatory efforts aim to increase women's representation, political parties frequently prioritize female candidates with preexisting political backgrounds. Nevertheless, it is worth mentioning that the parties' ideological positions significantly impact their dedication to female political participation and representation. Although political parties have made some progress in improving women's representation and participation in elections, it is clear that a significant and ongoing dedication is necessary to close the gender gap in political engagement.

This research locates heroism in a cultural context and offers insights into the Filipino concept. It introduces the "FPJ Hero Arc," a novel framework for analyzing cinematic heroic performances that is applicable to both Philippine and non-Philippine contexts. This framework draws from Edward Soja's Trialectics of Being and André Bazin's Cinematic Realism. Through in-depth interviews, the researcher explored how Tondeños perceive their personal and communal identity in Tondo and its representation in cinema. The portrayal of Tondo as a place of danger and poverty reflects the real experiences of its inhabitants. It is seen as challenging yet resilient, shaping values such as pakikisama (harmony) and katapangan (courage). For Tondeños, Tondo and the late Filipino actor Fernando Poe, Jr. (FPJ) symbolize Filipino identity. Tondo is a reminder of the challenges faced by Filipinos, while FPJ symbolizes hope and inspiration. This message of hope and empowerment resonated with Tondeños and helped them overcome the challenges of their daily lives. Meanwhile, the construction of FPJ as a hero reflects the people's need for a protector; he embodies Tondo's best qualities: courage, righteousness, and willingness to help those in need. The study emphasizes addressing real problems with practical solutions, recognizing the role of fictional heroes like FPJ's characters in inspiring communal success in addressing societal challenges.

Within contemporary contextualization, representation has transcended its traditional role as a mere reflection or symbol and has become a dynamic force that actively shapes and challenges material reality. This netnographic research outlines the dialogue between Instagram posts, as a contemporary mode of representation, and the construction of the material realm, as constituted by the youth demographic that predominantly engages with the social media platform. By examining the discursive investing framework, this research focuses on the use of Instagram by the popular culinary account @ke.jogja and its intersection with material development, specifically in the Yogyakarta region of Indonesia. Through Instagram's culinary posts, @ke.jogja is found to not only represent but also materially amplify the presence of youth-oriented culinary spaces, as it contributes significantly to the promotion and marketing of the aforementioned spaces. This symbolicto-material amplification emerges as a transformative force that significantly contributes to the phenomenon of culinary-based gentrification in the Yogyakarta region. The findings highlight the intricate relationship between Instagram culinary posts as symbolic and concrete material transformation in an urban landscape.

This study examines the experience of violence among adolescent schoolgirls from selected institutions in the Hazaribag district of Jharkhand, India. It maps the nature and extent of such incidents and examines how such violence affects a person's physical, emotional, and psychological health from a sociological perspective, considering factors such as how differently it affects students from different social groups, who the perpetrators are inside and outside the school, and the extent of such violence against students in private, public, or other types of schools. This descriptive and explanatory research used a mixed-methods approach to collect quantitative and qualitative data. Questionnaires, interview schedules, and informal focus group discussions were the main methods of data collection. The narrative method and SPSS software were used to analyze the qualitative and quantitative data, respectively. The study finds that female students are particularly vulnerable to school violence because of the gender factor involved, which cannot be isolated from gender-based violence. It also reveals sociological aspects, such as the means of transportation used by students, which are clearly related to their economic position, social category, etc., which play a very important role in such experiences of violence. The research contributes to the development of a gender-sensitive and violence-free educational atmosphere in which social justice education is more likely to be found.

The ongoing debate about whether artificial intelligence (AI) is a gift or a curse to humanity is explored in this study from a sociological perspective. The study examines how AI simplifies human work but devalues creativity, intuition, emotion, and consciousness, ultimately transforming society. The research suggests that while the challenges of AI can be overcome, three aspects of human cognition are difficult to replace: curiosity, humility, and emotional intelligence. On a social level, AI cannot replace initiatives for cooperation, cultural awareness, and encouragement to be part of society (sense of socialization). The study emphasizes the need for values, rules, and discourse. AI must be based on human rights, democracy, inclusion and diversity. It strengthens and enhances the discourse and practice of digital humanism and post-humanism. It also highlights the importance of incorporating religious values, local wisdom, and rules or policies to mitigate and resolve AI risks. The conclusion is that AI is not inherently a threat to humanity, but rather the greatest threat is humanity itself. The research emphasizes the need for collective feedback and understanding to improve AI systems through collaboration, as the road is long and full of surprises and challenges.

Many countries around the world are experiencing rapid urbanization, which is closely linked to migration. Cities are growing exponentially as people migrate in search of better opportunities. As the rural-urban influx continues, urban facilities are strained, and this results in poverty, which is a promising situation for the incidence of street children. Through the literature review, the study provides insights into the relationship between migration, urbanization and street child incidence in sub-Saharan Africa and Nigeria, and the reasons why children are involved in street life. It also explains some important theories that have advanced our knowledge of the phenomenon. The study shows that there is a relationship between migration, urbanization, and the incidence of street children in Nigeria. Although these children have some opportunities and freedom to work and do whatever they want on the streets, their dignity is still violated, which has adverse effects on their overall well-being in terms of mental, physical, emotional, and moral health. The article identifies poverty as the main factor that pushes children to the streets in Nigeria, and the same factor is observed to influence their migration from one geographical area to another. The article concludes by suggesting the enormous demographic benefits for children.
