The paper considers the book Fangevoktere i konsentrasjonleire: En sosiologiska undersokelse av norskefangevoktere i "serbienleire" i Nord-Norge i 1942-43, which has recently been published in Serbian language. It highlights the scientific significance, currency and relevance of the book at the time when it was written, as well the name and significance of author. It reflects the author's opinion on the development of theory and understanding of the phenomenon of concentration camps. This paper emphasizes the great importance of the book being translated into the Serbian language, not only because of its significance for the reasons previously stated, but also because it touches upon the Serbian camps in North Norway, in which some of the most tragic episodes in the history of the Serbian people occurred.

The paper deals with enforced disappearance as a crime against humanity in the Rome Statute, as a source of law which precisely defines enforced disappearance for the first time. The author analyzes some particularities concerning the actus reus of this crime which contains two acts or two "stages", subjective element which is twofold, participation of the state or a political organization in the crime as a very important element of this crime, but also crime against humanity's common elements which need to be met for existence of this crime. The paper also contains analyze of the International Criminal Court's temporal jurisdiction because of its specificity concerning this crime. The author is giving a review of this crime elements and trying to point out eventual problems in further practice as well as potentially very extensive interpretation which can be found in literature.

The social response to crime is implemented through crime control, that is, through the criminal justice system, crime prevention, law enforcement, and community and social programs and intervention methods outside the justice system. Examining the impact of the crime control system and institutions on crime is a relatively new trend in criminology, which is shown in the research presented in the paper. When researching the causality that causes crime, the attention of science is inevitably directed to the criminal justice system, primarily due to social phenomena such as the phenomenon of latent crime, and the conceptual paradox of subjective and objective security. In addition to examining the creation process of criminal statistics, the paper focuses on exploring the nature of latent crime and objective and subjective security. The relationship between subjective perceptions of security and the objective security situation in today's modern risk society is given a detailed evaluation. The question rightly arises as to what the police alone can do to counteract the deterioration in the sense of security and what other social processes are involved that go beyond their scope and objective scope of action. The subjective sense of security is difficult or impossible to separate from the latent crime in the given social environment or how law enforcement agencies respond to crime. If the quality of law enforcement is primarily determined by the effort to improve criminal statistics, the gap between objective and subjective security will naturally increase.

The article points out how the largest penitentiary in the country and one of the largest institutions of this type of facility has faced the Covid 19 pandemic from the outbreak to the present days. Although the Institution was relatively unprepared for the infection of this extent, in cooperation with the competent health authorities and based on the decisions of the competent authorities in the Administration for the Enforcement of Penal Sanctions, the rapid spread of the disease was prevented and satisfactory results have been achieved so far. At one point, the number of positive cases for the virus was 380, but luckily, the symptoms were lighter. The basic method of action at that point was strict isolation and thanks to its application, no convicted person in the institution has fall for the disease. It is interesting that persons deprived of their liberty during the pandemic were engaged in the production of protective masks not only for the purposes of the institution within the Administration for the Enforcement of Penal Sanctions, but also for the needs of health care institutions in Sremska Mitrovica and throughout the Republic of Serbia.

This paper traces aspects of the development of a 'green' criminology. It starts with personal reflections and then describes the emergence of explicit statements of a green criminological perspective. Initially these statements were independently voiced in different parts of the world but they reflected shared concerns. These works have found unification as a 'green', 'eco-global' or 'conservation' criminology. The paper reviews the classifications available when talking about not only legally - defined crimes but also legally perpetrated harms, as well as typologies of such harms and crimes. It then looks at the integration of 'green' and 'traditional' criminological thinking before briefly exploring four dimensions of concern for today and the future.
