The Effect of Self-Control on Loan Repayment Decisions of Women Market Vendors in Mbeya Municipality, Tanzania 自我控制对坦尚尼亚姆贝亚市妇女市场摊贩还贷决策的影响

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of self-control on loan repayment decisions of women market vendors in Mbeya municipality, Tanzania.Design/Methods/Approach: This study employed a mixed research design. Primary data was collected via questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. A stratified random sampling technique was used to come up with a sample of 348 respondents selected from a population of 1741 women market vendors. Finally, descriptive statistics and regression analysis were utilized to process the collected data.Findings:  The result of data analysis determined that self-control had a significant adverse effect on loan repayment decision Originality/Value: This study is unique since it studies self-control and loan repayment amongst women market vendors. The specificity of the set population allowed for a more in-depth and nuanced understanding of the experiences and challenges faced by this specific group of individuals hence deriving originality in this research.Practical/Policy implication: Findings are useful to policymakers and microcredit providers. Policymakers should promote activities and education that assist Tanzanians in attaining self-control. They should devise policies to make loans more affordable and easier to repay. Microcredit lenders should utilize subjective measures of self-control on loan applications as it is highly effective in enhancing repayment when coupled with high levels of financial literacy.

Objective: The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP) on firms' profitability of Tanzanian publicly listed firms.Design/Methods/Approach: The research utilized a longitudinal research design by employing secondary data from firms listed in the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE). The random effect model with two estimations was utilized to analyze data.Findings: Results suggest that ESOP has a positive and significant effect on the firm’s quest for profitability. Originality: The originality or uniqueness of this study lies in providing further understanding from a different economic and cultural perspective and enhancing the results of academic studies in this area.Practical/Policy implication: For business owners, the results of this study can be used as a root from which they can have a reason to grow their own ESOP and increase their wealth. For policymakers, it is a base for policy formulation that will enhance the profitable tax base.

The Effect of Authentic Leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior: The Role of Psychological Empowerment and Quality of Working Life 真实型领导对组织公民行为的影响:心理授权和工作生活质量的作用

Objective: This study aims to investigate the influence of authentic leadership on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and examine the role of psychological empowerment and quality of working life (QWL) as mediation in the construction of proposed relationships.Design/Methods/Approach: This study adopts a quantitative method by conducting cross-sectional surveys of multi-sectoral employees in Jakarta, and Surabaya, resulting in 271 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using structural equation models with SmartPLS 3.0 and tested with hierarchical component models or second-order constructs.Findings: The findings of this study show that QWL and psychological empowerment are important variables in mediating the effects of authentic leadership to encourage employees to be willing to demonstrate OCB in the work environment.Originality/Value: This study contributes to the existing literature by investigating the role of psychological empowerment and QWL mediation variables in mediating the indirect influence of authentic leadership on OCB in the Indonesian context. The findings from this study provide theoretical insights and practical implications for authentic leadership in organizations, as well as the foundation for continuous research into QWL and psychological empowerment that may have a solid direct influence and full mediation role on employees’ OCB.Practical/Policy implication: Given the results, human resource managers must try their best to fulfill aspects of the quality of working life and increase employee psychological empowerment. Because both variables play an important role in determining the positive effect of authentic leadership on the OCB of employees in the organization

How Does Conventional Travel Agent Services Enhance Brand Loyalty? The Relationship Between Customer Experience, Brand Credibility, and Brand Trust 传统旅行社服务如何提升品牌忠诚度?顾客体验、品牌信誉和品牌信任的关系

Objective: This study examines the relationship between customer experience and brand loyalty mediated by brand credibility and brand trust. Design/Methods/Approach: Primary data was collected using a questionnaire with a purposive sampling technique. A total of 363 respondents who had used one of the conventional travel agent services in Bali participated in this study. The Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (PLS-SEM) was used to analyze the data through outer and inner models using SmartPLS 4.Findings: This study discovered that customer experience positively has a direct and indirect impact on brand loyalty with the mediating effect of brand credibility and brand trust.Originality: The existing literature supports the direct influence of customer experience on brand loyalty in various industries. However, no other study has investigated the mediating role of brand credibility and brand trust on the relationship between customer experience and brand loyalty. This comprehensive study filled the gap between customer experience and brand loyalty in travel agent services.Practical/Policy implication: This study offered managerial implication. By considering customer experience a competitive advantage, managers can actively evolve several experiential marketing strategies to cultivate brand credibility and trust to impact brand loyalty.

How Do Servant Leadership and Knowledge Sharing Trigger Innovative Work Behaviors among Millennials at Start-up Businesses? 服务型领导和知识共享如何激发千禧一代创业公司的创新工作行为?

Purpose:Technological developments and environmental changes are currently growing rapidly. This adaptation indirectly requires a company to continue to innovate, especially in the development of Start Up software. This study aims to examine the relationship between servant leadership and knowledge sharing on innovative work behavior. This study also explores the mediating role of creative self-efficacy on innovative work behavior.Design/methodology/approach: Data was collected from 120 millennial Start Up employees in the field of software development. Data collection was carried out through a survey design. Data analysis was done through a structural equation model using PLS-Smart.Findings: The results show that servant leadership and knowledge sharing have a significant positive effect on innovative work behavior. Creative self-efficacy partially mediates the relationship between servant leadership and innovative work behavior. Creative self-efficacy is also able to partially mediate the relationship between knowledge sharing and innovative work behavior.Originality/value: This study contributes to the existing literature by integrating the mechanism between servant leadership and knowledge sharing into innovative work behavior.Practical implications: This study provides prospective insights to management leaders and practitioners that servant leadership and knowledge sharing bring about positive change in the innovative work behavior. It also augments innovative behavior by enhancing employees' creative self-efficacy, especially millennials in Start-Up businesses.

The Role of Employer Branding in Work-life Balance and Employee Retention Relationship among Generation Z Workers: Mediation or Moderation? 雇主品牌在Z世代员工工作与生活平衡与员工保留关系中的作用:中介还是调节?

Objective: This study aims to investigate two models that examine the role of employer branding in the relationship between work-life balance and employee retention in Generation Z workers. Design/Methods/Approach: This study applied quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires using google forms. A purposive sample of 189 Generation Z workers in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia, was used to test the models. The data was processed using SmartPLS 3 Software.Findings: The results of the PLS-SEM analysis revealed a significant relationship between work-life balance, job stress, emotional exhaustion, and employee retention. Instead of mediating the relationship between work-life balance and employee retention, this study revealed that employer branding significantly moderated the relationship between emotional exhaustion and employee retention among Generation Z workers. These findings could be used to develop a human capital strategy to retain Generation Z employees.Originality/Value: Among many studies on the relationship between work-life balance and employee retention, only a few focus on Generation Z workers. This generation also places greater emphasis on employer branding when considering their workplace. However, employer branding is rarely integrated into work-life balance research. This study extends the application of social exchange theory to explain the relationship between work-life balance (WLB) and employee retention by integrating employer branding into the model.Practical/Policy implication: Given the results, organizations may provide flexibility that enables employees to work from anywhere and anytime. Moreover, companies must design strategies to manage WLB, such as flexible working hours to allow employees to manage their work schedules according to their needs and reduce workplace conflicts. Companies are advised not to assign responsibilities that do not correspond to the employee’s position or job description. Organizations may provide mindfulness training through meditation during breaks or before and after work hours to help them relax from their workload and avoid emotional exhaustion. Lastly, companies must engage in internal marketing activities by creating positive work culture, designing clear career paths, providing training, offering attractive benefits, and providing opportunities for employees to grow and develop.

Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Emotional Exhaustion: Examining the Role of Work-Family Conflict 组织公民行为与情绪耗竭:工作-家庭冲突之作用检视

Objective: The objectives of this study are, first, to examine the direct relationship between OCB-I/O to work-family conflict; second, to examine the relationship between OCB-I/O to emotional exhaustion; third, to examine the mediating effect of work-family conflict in the relationship between OCB-I/O to emotional exhaustion.Design/Methods/Approach: Quantitative method was employed in this study. Data was statistically managed using SEM-PLS. There were 235 respondents involved in the study comprising various employees across industries in Indonesia. Findings: Overall, the study found support for all of its hypotheses. There is a positive correlation between engaging in extra-role behavior that benefits the organization, known as OCB-O, and emotional exhaustion. This means that when employees perform additional tasks beyond their formal obligations, it can result in emotional exhaustion. Similarly, a positive correlation exists between OCB-I, which involves discretionary actions towards colleagues, and emotional exhaustion. This behavior can also increase stress due to reduced resources for other tasks. Work-family conflict partially mediates the relationship between OCB-O and emotional exhaustion, suggesting that OCB-O can still influence emotional exhaustion even without going through the mediator of work-family conflict. The study also highlights the need for companies to monitor employee involvement in OCB behavior to ensure their resources are not depleted and evaluate employee well-being.Originality/Value: This research examines how OCB relates to various variables that previously have not been tested into one hypothetical model. This study has significant contributions to organizational behavior and human resources. While most studies focus on the positive effect of OCB, this study investigates the cost of being good citizens. Practical/Policy implication: It offers significant implications for scholars and managers. Given the results, this study suggests that organizations need to monitor employees' engagement toward OCB so that employee can balance their contribution at the workplace and home. Through close monitoring, organizations can help employees maintain a work-life balance.

The Mediating Effect of Sleep Quality and Burnout Toward Work Engagement among Healthcare Worker 医护人员睡眠质量、倦怠对工作投入的中介作用

Objective: This study examines the interrelationship among job stress, work engagement, sleep quality, and burnout on JD-R Model. Moreover, this study also analyzes the mediating effect of sleep quality and burnout, which is usually a dependent variable. Methods: This study was conducted on 236 healthcare workers from various hospitals in Indonesia. The data were collected from an online survey using a 4-Point Likert scale, which was analyzed using Lisrel 8.80 through Structural Equation Modelling (SEM).Findings: The results show that job stress is positively associated with work engagement and burnout. Sleep quality mediates job stress toward work engagement and burnout. Burnout mediates the relationship between job stress and sleep quality. This study also found that job stress was not associated with sleep quality. Originality/Value: Many studies are competing to understand the emergence and process of burnout and work engagement. This research is heading in a different direction and focuses on exploring and analyzing the variables of burnout, job stress, sleep quality, and work engagement and their interrelationship.Practical/Policy implication: Given the results, this study recommends that healthcare workers be aware of their oath and live a healthy lifestyle. In addition, health institutions could conduct a job analysis and create HR policies that imply productivity and fairness.

Effect of Voluntary Risk Management Disclosure and Risk Management Committee on Firm Value 风险管理自愿披露与风险管理委员会对企业价值的影响

Objective: This study aimed to analyze the effect of voluntary risk management disclosure (VRMD) and the existence of a risk management committee (RMC) on firm value.Design/Methods/Approach: The research sample is companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2016, with 136 observations. The data obtained are based on annual reports. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear analysis, with the help of the STATA 14 software program, as hypothesis testing.Findings: The results showed that voluntary risk management disclosure positively and significantly in the firm's value. The existence of the risk management committee had no significant effect on the firm's value.Originality: In this study, the researcher sees not only the existence of a risk management committee to measure risk management. However, the Voluntary Risk Management Disclosure score is rarely studied in Indonesia.Practical/Policy implication: This study has implications for investors to be more careful in analyzing the risks faced by the company so that investors avoid mistakes in making investment decisions and for the government to develop guidelines for disclosure of voluntary (non-financial) risk management and risk management committees.

Digital Marketing Capability and MSMEs Performance: Understanding the Moderating Role of Environmental Dynamism 数字营销能力与中小微企业绩效:环境动力的调节作用

Objective: This study examines the influence of digital marketing capability on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) performance. Environmental dynamism was the moderator in this relationship. Design/Methods/Approach: This study design was a quantitative approach. The research was conducted in Lamongan Regency. The research populations are managers or owners of MSMEs in the area. Using non-probability and purposive sampling techniques, this study reports the responses of 138 respondents from small and medium enterprises in Lamongan. Data were primarily gathered through self-reported online questionnaires. Partial Least Square (PLS) was then used to test the hypothesized relationships.Findings: The results show a positive effect of digital marketing capability on MSMEs performance and that environmental dynamism strengthens the relationship between digital marketing capability and MSMEs performance.Originality: Our study highlights the importance of focusing on digital marketing capability as a superior business strategy in responding to changes in consumer behavior. Empirical research on digital marketing capabilities in small-scale companies from the context of developing countries has not received serious attention (Chinakidzwa & Phiri, 2020b). To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to link digital marketing capabilities to the MSMEs performance in Lamongan. Almost no previous research has examined environmental dynamism as a moderating role, especially in developing countries.Practical/Policy Implication: the owners or managers must focus on establishing and implementing the ability to apply digital marketing effectively. Digital marketing capability becomes one of the Company's strategic sources in creating competitive advantages, contributing to better business performance. An important practical implication of this research is that when MSMEs can adapt and transform digitally, they should concentrate on increasing digital marketing capability through activities such as providing product information on digital platforms, providing online services for customer needs, and building relations and communication with online consumers. Careful consideration of a firm's digital marketing capability is needed to improve business performance.

An important practical implication of this research is that when MSMEs can adapt and transform digitally, they should concentrate on increasing digital marketing capability through activities such as providing product information on digital platforms, providing online services for customer needs, and building relations and communication with online consumers.
