A new patch-based approach for noise filetring 一种新的基于patch的噪声滤波方法

A common framework is proposed for Gaussian, unilateral, bilateral and non-local means filters. A new denoising method is then introduced for removing additive independent Gaussian noise. It is adapted and applied for filtering signal-dependent noise such as film grain noise. The main idea is to transform the signal-dependent into independent additive Gaussian noise using a nonlinear transformation prior to filtering. The obtained results clearly demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

Brain tissue motion estimation: 2D speckle tracking using synthetic lateral phase technique 脑组织运动估计:利用合成横向相位技术进行二维散斑跟踪

It is well known that the pulsatile motion of brain parenchyma results from cardiac and breathing cycles. The brain displaces in three directions, mediolateral, anteroposterior and cephalocaudal. We propose in this work to measure 2D displacement vector (mediolateral and anteroposterior componenst) of an imaged area of the brain through the right temporal window. A 2D speckle tracking based on the phase zero-crossing detection of correlation was applied to RadioFrequency signals to estimate the displacement vector. However, unlike the axial direction, the fundamental limitation for lateral tracking motion is the lack of RadioFrequency phase information. The synthetic lateral phase (SLP) technique was then used to create synthetic phase in this direction. Zero-crossing detection was then applied to the 2D complex phase of the synthetic RF signal. The advantage of SLP technique is that there is no need to modify the emission/reception ultrasound process to create synthetic phase in the lateral direction

Fast stereo matching via graph cuts 通过图形切割快速立体匹配

In this paper, a novel approach that addresses the stereo correspondence problem is proposed. Some recent techniques that transform the stereo correspondence problem to a minimization of a global energy function are based on graph cuts. These techniques based on graph cuts consider all possible disparities between minimum and maximum values for each pixel. The originality of this work is to construct a reduced graph where only some potential values in the disparity range are selected for each pixel. These values can be found using a local analysis method for stereo matching. This method allows us to reduce the size of the graph, thus reducing computation time and improving the quality of disparity map, and at the same time to make wider the disparity range.

Some issues on cognitive radio and UWB technology convergence for enabling green networks 认知无线电与超宽带技术融合以实现绿色网络的若干问题

In this paper1 we propose a new orientation and scenarios basedon the convergence of UWB and cognitive radio technologies for enabling green radio. We first present some results which show the ability of cognitive radio system to operate simultaneously with licensed systems without causing harmful degradation. In a second step, we highlight some properties of UWB propagation related to interference mitigation. In the last part of this work, we propose a new scenario based on the convergence between UWB technology and cognitive radio approach for the optimization of interference control and energy consumption.

A large scale and low cost solution for real-time indoor localisation based on wireless sensor network 一种基于无线传感器网络的大规模低成本室内实时定位解决方案

The aim of this work is dedicated to creating smart environments and assistance to enable elderly to live a longer and more independent life at home. One of the essential services required to maximize the intelligence of a smart environment is a low cost indoor precision localization system. This paper presents our hands-on experience based on our first phase work to build up a smart home infrastructure for the elderly. We review location tracking technology and describe the rationale behind our choice among the emerging wireless sensors technologies. Node localization is required to report the origin of events, to assist group querying of sensors, to facilitate routing and to answer questions on the network coverage. Furthermore, one of the fundamental challenges in a wireless sensor network is mobile node localization. In this work, we locate in real-time a person in an indoor environment rich in multipaths by taking into account the effects of the environment. Future research directions and challenges for improving node localization in wireless sensor networks are also discussed.

Ensemble classifier construction for Arabic handwritten recongnition 阿拉伯手写体识别的集成分类器构建

Handwritten recognition is a very active research domain that led to several works in the literature for the Latin Writing. The current systems tendency is oriented toward the classifiers combination and the integration of multiple information sources. In this paper, we describe an approach based on diversity measures for Arabic handwritten recognition using optimized Multiple classifier system. The aim of this paper is to study Arabic handwriting recognition using the optimization of MCS based on diversity measures. This approach selects the best classifier subset from a large set of classifiers taking into account different diversity measures. The experimental results presented are encouraging and open other perspectives in the domain of classifiers selection especially speaking for Arabic Handwritten word recognition.

Chaotic cryptography using external key 使用外部密钥的混沌加密

In this paper, a new chaotic encryption using multiple one-dimensional chaotic maps is introduced. This encryption method shows a significant improvement in terms of effi-ciency as well as security level. The proposed cryptosys-tem further produces the cipher-image having flat distribution. In the encryption phase, the pixels are encrypted using an iterative cipher module based feedback and data-dependent inputs mechanism for mixing the current encryption parameters with previously encrypted information. Some experimental results are given in order to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed scheme. In our experimental results, a color image is evaluated. Some security analysis on the proposed image encryption scheme which demonstrated the satisfactory security of the proposed scheme, are described.

An incremental parallel neural network for unsupervised classification 一种用于无监督分类的增量并行神经网络

This paper presents a novel unsupervised and parallel learning technique for data clustering that are polluted by noise using neural network approaches. The proposed approach is based on a self-organizing incremental neural network. The design of two-layer neural network enables this system to represent the topological structure of unsupervised on-line data, reports the reasonable number of clusters, and gives typical prototype patterns of every cluster without prior conditions such as a suitable number of nodes. To confirm the efficiency of the proposed learning mechanism, we present a set of experiments with artificial data sets and real world data sets.

In this paper, we propose an internal model principle-based Kalman filter (IMP-KF) structure for use in fault detection. We show that the closed-loop structure of the IMP-KF is a necessary and sufficient condition for generating residuals upon which the fault detection process hinges. We advocate a residual generator structure similar to that used in standard Kalman filtering (KF), and judiciously exploit the non-robustness to model mismatch of the proposed IMP-KF scheme to detect faults in the presence of noise and disturbances. With no model mismatch, the KF residual's whiteness is exploited to derive a composite hypothesis testing that accounts for a low probability of false alarm and a high probability of correct decision for various reference inputs. The proposed scheme was successfully evaluated on both simulated and lab-scale physical systems

Image segmentation using an emergent complex system: Cellular automata 使用一个新兴的复杂系统:元胞自动机的图像分割

Cellular automata are simple models of computation which exhibit fascinatingly complex behavior. They have captured the attention of several generations of researchers, leading to an extensive body of work. The emphasis is mainly on topics closer to computer science and mathematics rather than physics, biology or other applications. Many related works were interested in cellular automata capacities in image processing, but all of them were confronted with the problem of increase of rules number towards the number of cells states. In this paper, we propose an original solution to avoid this problem, the objective is a segmentation by edge detection, applied to binary images, grey level images and real images. Comparisons are made with standard edge detector (Canny) and algorithms based on cellular automata. Obtained results are encouraging.
